Looks indeed like a complete absence of those tabs so this might open up a new chapter for the Greek Decoys although it didnt make much sense from the beginning while those tabs would have been added to a figure that is hiding inside the icecream since it doesnt have a real function right?

 

Its good to know this and at some point we might have to splitt them into two different groups but as for now with the story and facts we have lets keep them on the same level.

Yeah the could just be from the same set. Maybe the ones with tabs were Just molded that way, or maybe a defect?

If we can find the same sculpt with and without a tab it would shed some light on the subject.

my favorite thing about that auction was the "Mega Rare" bit in the title. Wonder where they got that from? They forgot the (?) though
