I love this forum.
dinobrite, your little find here is awesome! I think finding information is going to be a bit more difficult if the figures were originally from France. Most of us being from the US, Canada and UK means that we don't all know quite as much about European-only stuff like this. If the seller was a collector himself and got them elsewhere, that's a different story. Have you asked the seller if he/she knew where they came from?
The one thing I can say offhand is this sort of thing reeks of Yolanda.
So to be fair to the guy, he never actually called them mites or brites So he was perfectly legit. He just said "closely resembling" PANOSH dinosaurs.
Incidentally, the one dinosaur with his head blown off now resides in my car as our little mascot.
We call him Nogginless Neville.

Yolanda is a Spanish toy company that is infamous for making... well, very unique toys. You might in some cases call them garbage, but every once in a while you get something less godawful and simply eyecatching and unique instead. I don't think all of their toylines were unique or licensed in the case of properties like Toxic Crusaders or Dinosaucers, but I'm not entirely certain about those details. It's just the simplified bootleg nature of this toyline reminds me of their work, and Yolanda loved to do minifigure lines.
