It probably realyl is M.U.S.C.L.E. that you're thinking of... It just seemed like you were obviously ribbing us, as M.U.S.C.L.E. is part of the "Big Two" that this site was founded on.
Canful of Monsters is a more obscure knock-off line.

They were officially licensed, just in the same way MUSCLE was where none of the properties of the actual characters carried over. The Godzilla Gang toyline has the same thing going where everyone but Godzilla was from various Ultraman series and still share the original names but their real identities are otherwise ignored.

Sorry guys. I was just reaching back into my memory and remembered buying a plastic trashcan full of different colored little rubber figures when I was a little kid. I did a search and yes, they were Canfull of Monsters or Monster Toss. Again, I am new here and not much of a "little rubber guy" collector but rather a collector of nostalgic items. I'm really digging these things though.
