I agree. I keep a lil flame of hope burning deep down in my bosom that we might one day see a more animation correct Hordak in the MOTUC line.

I seem to recall in one of the more recent heman.org surveys, he did pretty well.  I mean he's pretty bad ass in his blue capeless outfit but, we all know everyone was clammoring for the filmation accurate King Randor FIRST.  I mean, we were missing having another version of a secondary character whose principle accessory was a chalice of pudding, right?

 

Maybe they'll have some news about him on the mattypalooza panel at Powercon on Sunday.

Haha yeah it also took them far too long to pop out Ram Man and Fisto. I also hope the mini MOTU line does well and they bust out plenty more characters! The He Man and Skeletor from SDCC were sweet.

Lets hope power on has some good news rather than the usual "if you don't sub this line dies!" talk or any of that non sense of selling the figures in bags with header cards.

I remember someone posted about these years ago, they looked completely different tho. They were keshi style, but looked more bulky and had better detail.
I tried looking for them here, but can't find that thread again.

I talked to Katsushi from Zoomoth and he was saying that these are all prototypes. They were never officially released. So that is why they are so rare!

Whoa.  Does that mean they might not be from steel molds?

They are, but seem to have only done a small initial run. Not sure how they were released, or maybe just given within the company in japan.

 

From what i have heard too is these have only been seen for sale a few times, so who knows how many are out there.

It would be awesome if somebody used He-Man's sculpt as the base model and then produce duplicates to use as fodder to alter into other existing MotU characters, since that's essentially how the original Toyline works anyways. Making a 2nd He-Man as Faker is pretty much effortless, it's just a paint job, but say transforming a copied Skeletor into Scare Glow would just be too awesome, especially if it was casted to glow in the dark.

Turning Buzz-off into Clawful wouldn't be to much of a stretch, I wouldn't think.

And, how come Mecha-neck never gets any love?

He's such a wonderfully crappy character!
