The official trailer is online for the "Untitled J.J. Abrams Project" shown before 'Transformers' in theaters. The trailer is for a monster movie code-named "Cloverfield" directed by "Felicity'' co-creator Matt Reeves and written by "Lost" and "Alias" cohort Drew Goddard which Paramount will bow Jan. 18. "Cloverfield," which revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people is shot hand-held camera, home-movie style, giving it a sort of "Armageddon" meets "The Blair Witch Project" feel. The teaser shows revelers sounding off at a surprise going-away party until mayhem strikes. Before long, a thundering roar is heard, and by the time guests run downstairs, pandemonium and flaming debris are hitting the streets. The trailer carries no title, but at the end, it flashes "From producer J.J. Abrams," then the release date and a quickie credit block. The film co-stars Michael Stahl-David ("The Black Donnellys"), Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel ("Supercross") and Lizzy Kaplan ("The Class").
Also, here is what appears to be the official website:

Although there really isn't anything on it.

Am I missing the sarcasm in your post? You’re kidding…right? The one Big hint that they give, that would have me believe this,is the part where people are running down the street, and you can hear someone say 'its a lion, its huge!' Also, those co-stars look like they could be the lion pilots. And the guys going away party in the trailer,he's going to Japan....Hhhmmm ...its gotta be Voltron !

I seriously doubt the whole movie is like that.Oh, I couldn’t care less. Anything “Blair With-ish” is immediately off my to-do list.

Actually, I think the whole movie is like that. From the above quote:
"Cloverfield," which revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people is shot hand-held camera, home-movie style, giving it a sort of "Armageddon" meets "The Blair Witch Project" feel.
Here's more on the movie and its Internet promotion from TrekMovie.com:
JJ Abrams Speaks About 1-18-08 - Movie Sites Have Yet To Be Found!
It seems that JJ Abrams is frustrated that people haven’t found the hidden websites for the monster movie he is producing. He tells AICN that all this ethanhaas stuff is actually not his movie. This is a bit strange because it was Paramount that was taking down videos from that site posted on YouTube…so I guess they are for some other new mysterious Paramount movie. JJ’s message…Regarding the online stuff you posted: yeah, we’re doing some fun stuff on the web. But, obviously, if the movie doesn’t kick some massive ASS, who gives a rat’s about what’s online? So as you can imagine, we’re focusing mostly on THAT. For what it’s worth, the only site of ours that people have even FOUND is the 1-18-08.com site. The others (like the Ethan Haas sites) have nothing to do with us.

I would have liked to have seen more of Devastator, and Bonecrusher. I could have done without Frenzy; I loved the attitude of Jazz, but a Poniac what the hell where they thinking?
I loved Barricade, with is "to punish and enslave" on the side of him. I really loved the Mountain Dew Dispenser turning into a Robot, and shooting MD cans. That was awesome.
It was a big help with Optimus Prime using a lot of old quotes from the cartoon, which was awesome.
ALL and ALL I would give it a C+. It was average for me.

Did you know that Optimus Prime's brain can fit on a 5 inch floppy disc?
Did you know that Japanese subways have such high ceilings that a 20 foot robot can stand up...with head clearance?
Did you know that the Autobot Ark has magic floors, so that even though it's tilted however many degrees, everyone can stand upright (and in Chip's case, not slide all over the place in his wheelchair)?
Did you know ...?
Why do I ask?
Because there's stupid shizznit in every version of the Transformers, cartoon, comic book, game, etc.
So... I'm not gonna complain about Bay's Transformers. When canon gives you priceless nuggets of WTF'ness, you just roll with it.
Though, I, too, ask...
Why did Bumblebee take a piss?

I think I remember seeing a better trailer for it in a newer movie (maybe Harry Potter).skimming through this post I realized what the hell happened to "Cloverfield" I haven't heard mention of that in two months or so did we ever find out more?
It does'nt look that great. I think it's like a mythological creature movie set in modern New York.

But now I have to bug someone to get the Walmart one, so I can watch the prequel comic narrated by Peter Cullen.

Disk 2 has an Easter Egg of the try-outs for the dog.
Disk 1 has the Iron Man trailer, a sort of montage music video of the highlights of the movie, and I think, one of the movie trailers.
Anyone get the Walmart one, yet?
