True, it makes me wonder if it will just get pushed back and possibly never be released.

Maybe since the toy company isn't gigantuous, they were not able to get much media attention? Just a guess.
I only gave the site a glance at first but I just re-visited and now I feel a little more skeptical. That site isn't for a toy company, it's a promotional/licensing agency. They do have a few recognizable properties (like Miramax? surprising) by ultimately they're all over the place. And apparently they've re-purposed the Tamogotchi license as some sort of "fashion-lifestyle brand" in the U.S.
Um, what?

Definitely excited for this! I've been waiting for a MIMP revival for many many years. I do hope they don't go overboard and make them like Skylanders where each one costs like $10 ($13 for the Disney version which is just insane to me). I want the classics back!

I would never have guessed from your profile pic that you liked MIMP lol. I also hope they aren't too much because I want them all!

Skylanders and Disney Infinity are probably way more interactive than this app game will be. 90% of toy lines with APP games are usually very poor games with next to replay value alot are scummy and full of micro transactions as well and most get removed from the Apple and Goggle store in under a year or are unplayable due to needing servers under a year later. This won't happen with sky landers or Disney Infinity
because the games are on Game consoles and on actual discs.
The last Gormiti LIne had a APP game all it did was scan the trading cards in and made a 3d model of them fight so was pretty much what the trading cards the figures came with always did but for that series they removed the game elements from the trading and forced you to use the APP instead.
I really do not under stand this APP toy craze the market these are mostly targeted for should not even have or need a phone to begin with and probably have a much better in every way handheld system or games console to them to work on instead of a device not made to play games to begin with or that suited to.
Maybe these will be like the Angry bIrds star wars figures that had a scan code on bottom of them and a stand to magnify it to register the code into the game.

None here. If they are really releasing this then there has been a supreme lack of marketing.

Yeah, weird.
I think the idea to do them like minikins is a good one. Hell, I'd be down if they were a smaller size, too.

Did the 2006 ones get any marketing at all? I saw nothing for them that and they was only sold in Woolworths but not advertised as a store exclusive.
I have no idea because they weren't sold in the US. I have to defer to someone in the UK or Europe to answer that one.

Im from UK and saw no ad's or anything for them same with Original series though they had some ad's in comic books and magazines at the time the 2006 one though they was nothing. Yet Puppy in my pocket and later series based of animals got loads of tv ad's and even a terrible animated plot whole ridden tv series that Aired on boomerang where all the classic cartoon network shows air like tom and jerry and scooby doo.

I can't remember any TV ads for the original MIMP either, though I saw them in stores and comics often. Makes you wonder if the series would have made more money if they actually advertised it.

I remember seeing a MIMP TV commercial when the first series came out, but I think I only saw it a couple times. All I really remember about it is a kid squeezing one while the voiceover said, "They're squishy!" I've looked for it on YouTube over the years to no avail.

The sad part is that many of the figures really weren't squishy...Try squishing a Behemoth. Pain and nothing else.

Haha yeah, even as a kid I found it really weird that they said that in the commercial. That's probably why I remember it so well. I never thought of MIMP material as "squishy," really.

It is sad when you don't advertise your own product well...
