I would actually prefer the Japanese one, if we're voting on such things. I also this the first elephant without the contrast boost looks better.

I like the idea of a .pdf of the vintage poster just to have as an achive file.

Getting a Print or Sign shop to run off a few repro posters would be pretty expensive though because they usually operate at $75/hour plus. You could probably score a vintage poster for around the same price that you would pay. If you have it in a poster frame it doesn't really matter if it's beat up a bit.

thanks man. I ended up scanning my own J poster while trying to figure out how to work with the copier/scanner at my office, so I'm using a different source than the one Karis has. If I get burnt out though I might send you the original so we can tag-team it. I still have your email

If anyone is interested in a poster sized print of the un-retouched BB poster, I can do those for $14 shipped in the US.

These would be full color printed on plain paper stock (the same as your printer at home uses), not gloss or magazine paper.
They are 36x28.5 (or 30x24 if you need to fit it in a 36x24 frame).
There are the crease lines on it.
