I actually just did that tonight for a quick picture. Hell, they have been sitting in a box in storage for the last few years so I wanted to play with them and thought that would be funny. They are still in it now and it looks kind of cool, but for long term storage Im nto sure. I will keep them on display like this for now though, it looks cool.

Slim, but there have been a handful over the years. Check Canadian lots.

I am constantly on the lookout for Canada lots. Especially now since the last few rare colors that I need are most likely of Canadian origin. I am of course always on the lookout for the favorites like the Purple Claw and Sunshine. Speaking of rare colored lots, this one ends in about a day or so, and it has some really rare colors..and sure enough, it is from Canada...

http://cgi.ebay.com/...emZ320248718414

Just off the top I see a Purple #2, Light Blue #143, Salmon #165, Light Orange #195, and a Magenta #208. The other colors according to MuscleDB are relatively uncommon as well. Why couldn't I have been a kid in Canada when colored Muscels were relased?!

You should read through the pinned topics at the top of this thread in "G1 M.U.S.C.L.E., Exogini, Cosmix, etc." and take a look at the Mystery of the non Muscle Sculpts thread at the very top. It will answer some of the questions you may have an fill you in on what we now know from years of observation.

I did just that--a small sip rather than a big gulp, but some reading nevertheless. However, I believe there are still many, many more figures out there waiting to be found. There might not be any sculpts found in previously unknown colors, but maybe there are a few more of the rarer sculpt/color combos that are hanging around in a long-forgotten warehouse...or maybe I'm optimistic. Never hurts to hope, though!

I totally agree with you. I got a case of 144 four packs, and several figure/combose were identicle. Imigine if you found the case with 15 purple claw four packs in it? Thats what I was hoping for lol.

Lucky you for such a great find! What happened to all those 4-packs?

At least $50-$100 I would think.

Actually, I would say $150-$200.

I bought mine a few years ago for like $120. I think it would hit, at least, $150 with all of the new collectors.

Your first LRG lesson: DO NOT ask DOC where he put ANYTHING. It may turn out to be the same place Buffaloman stuck the Holy Grail.

...and when I saw the SR 4-pack, I started laughing, and then admiring Doc's photoshopping prowress that rivaled Nate's.

...then it turns out to be an ACTUAL RESEAL OF THE SUPER RARES. That's FRIGGIN' AWESOME! I'm STILL chuckling at the joke!

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I would agree with Chad. I remember the last one i saw on Ebay sold by Alex and i got out bid :) I've been searching ever since and still haven't found one. Being a favourite sculpt of many collectors, i can see it reaching $200 easy if not higher. I would still love to own one and if one turned up on ebay i would probably go mad on the bidding just incase one didn't turn up for another few years :)

As far as PS goes, nah, Nate is a god. Which makes me think we should start doing those cotnests again, they were awesome! I'm gonna start one in Sandbox as soon as I think of a topic.

For the guy wondering how hard it is to find a purple claw, I thought I would add this interesting fact: Both me and ARforbes have on seperate occasions had two actual purple claws in our possession. ARforbes actually gave me my first purple claw when his cousin found one and he already had one. Then, I spotted the purple claw 4-pack on ebay sometime later, won it, and traded it to ARforbes for a purple #3. There was also an ebay auction on ebay that I first spotted that had a purple claw in it, and with the help of other board members, we won it and split up the figures it contained, thats how doc got his purple claw. I think it comes down to luck and scouring ebay a lot. I guarantee that there havn't been any purple claws to go unnoticed on ebay, and in the last 8 years, only 3-4 have surfaced (someone correct my count if its off). So they are definitely hard to come by.

I'd love to score an original Purple Claw. Does anybody here own a MIP Nesquik Claw? I pulled him from a can of Nesquik as a child and foolishly opened him...still have regrets about that. If anybody ever has an extra Nesquik MIP Claw please PM me...Cheers & Cheap Toy Fun, CTM :o

So in thoery, Satancross or any other non-Muscle sculpts may exist in colors. I would assume that if they are out there, they exist in either Purple, Dark Blue, or Red...those being the 1st colors released. Mattel likely forgot to pull the sculpt mold on the Red Geronimo seen in my siganture, which is the reason for it being produced. But who's to say that they didn't forget to pull a few more molds early in color production? Are these Super Rare colors in Purple Blue or Red floating around out there in undiscovered lots waiting to be found. My sources say yes... :o

purple claw, i posted this in another topic not knowing why the auction was for so much, i hope blue claw isnt rare because i left it in a car i sold a couple months ago. oh and also i wonder if the purple claw was in the later molds, because back in like 96-97 a toys r us opened up in my area and me and my cousin found a display with the trash can ones for sale so we bought a few and he ended up with a purple claw and still has it but i didnt know it was rare until today. that always raised a question in my mind as to why they had them at there store so long after they stopped making them.

Purple claw is very hard to find, you could even say rare. Magenta claw is not belived to exist. No other color claw is rare or worth more than $5 and that is really only due to the popularity of the sculpt.

Yep. There might be a few other HTF colors in the lot, but the Purple Claw is the reason why it is where it is at.
