One of the easiest ways to tell whether you have a legit Imperial or a knockoff is the telltale lipstick. Imperial used a red to line the mouth that instead makes Godzilla look like he's dolling himself up for a night on the town. After that, yeah the absence of any trademarks would verify it's a KO as Imperial stamps all their toys.
The Godzilla in this thread is probably the unlicensed Dor Mei version.

My QWERSDXCV keys are all screwy from playing games with hot keys!
I have one of those backlit keyboards and the paint or whatever on the 'S' key has completely rubbed off so it's just a glowing square now. I blame LotRO (though, I never play that anymore)
also, since we're still talking about the 'D'
