Very cool. Congratulations.
This is the reason people should never over pay. The figures are out there. They don't all sit in one or two collections. Millions of these things were made. They are out there.
Plus a little bit of luck is much better than a small fortune. At least in my book.

Congratulations on the find! It's very cool that somebody from the board here actually found an item that rare in the wild. Also, I think that particular sculpt is one of the best ones of the SR figures, so that is kind of lucky too that you got a good one and not one of the lame ones!

Thanks everyone
This is definitely one of my favorites from the Super Rares. After this it would be the Geronimo, and probably the Black Hole Sunshine.
And yes! I have weird, crazy good luck finding this stuff around here! I almost never buy online, and never from eBay (not in years and years, anyway), because the feeling of finding something local is just so rewarding.

Yeah I'd much rather find one than buy it for a grand or two.
Awesome score man! In Pa. I have never even come across a muscle in any form at any flee market, swap meet or off the beat toy store.

Just browsing the SR thread and can't believe someone paid over $3000 for the salmon shouting Geronimo - I wonder if that guy still owns it? Yep an awesome figure, but that is a heck of a lot of $$ on a figure. I know what my wife would do to me if I ever spent that much cash on a figure haha!!
He still owns it. One of the last MUSCLE purchases he made til his wife found out about it.
RIP Clawfreak.

Last time i remember him being around was when he was saying that purple claw snagged off ebay was legit because he had knowledge no one else had. Then it turned out to more then likely be a fake and the seller kept selling more of them over and over until ebay finally banned him.

Pretty sure ironoak was the other bidder driving up the price on that one. The time to cash in and sell any MUSCLE rares was when that guy jumped into the hobby and inflated the prices on everything for about a year.

Ironoak would buy anything. He offered me ridiculous prices on things that i didnt even plan on selling...until his highly inflated offer came in of course

He won a Salmon Mito, class A, from me a long time ago. For around $15. He got a magifying glass out, and complained that he could see a blue spec on the head (if you really look close- he said)
I told him that I'm sure it was from a 4pack or something, and asked if he regularly looked at his figures through magnification. What a guy! haha.....
