I guess I shouldn't have been so flippant.
If it was Alex, then it's just sad. If he bought the figure, it's just sad. But there's no real scam here. If he had it all along, then nobody would have made a crazy offer. They would have offered far less because they thought it was so clueless guy.
My real point is, Alex is a sad, sad man. If he is involved in any way (buyer, seller, picture stealer) then it's even sadder.
If there are ever scam-type things then we should probably keep an eye on it.
And can we just start calling him Gollum? It's what he is.

Well, if it was Alex all along, that would explain why he couldn't register an account on the board. 
I agree, gollum fits him perfectly, but really, who really cares about Alex anymore. Unless it is in regards to preventing someone from being scammed by him, it really is just superficial.
Funny thing...it took forever for the administrator to approve me to their forum...then I changed my email contact and it suspended my account until approval, which took a couple of days as well.

Is there some information that isn't being shared? From what has been said, it sounds like alex got this SHA for a song? Why else would he buy another one?
Its still not clear why he would use the other guys photo if he bought the figure, he has had years to photo the one he has...... what need would there be for a new photo of an old figure in his collection?

alex mite have got the SHA even if he did have to pay propper money. he clearly wants the LRG to know he is invoved with it and knows ppl from here will be checkin up on him.
it mite be his way of saying " you can kik me off LRG, but i am still gettin all the best finds and have the best stuff" like he dosent need LRG and that we need him?
i rekons hes using the old photo jst to make sure we know.

I guess soupie already answered my question there but is there anything to support alex taunting us with that photo? Was that photo added to alex's site since it was posted by the other guy? I noticed it was scaled down but that really only suggests the other guy didn't get it from alex's site. I also notice the photo didn't really fit the style of alex's other photos. But it still seem odd. I dunno, maybe I am not feeling so James Rockford on you....

No, just a general understanding on how Alex operates. And he probably DID pay top dollar for it, hence why he is listing colors on eBay for absurd prices and lying about them being 1 of 1's. He has a green 189 listed as "The only one known" when there are 3 listed in MDB. Alex is a liar and is trying to make his stuff appear more rare thn it is to jack up the price. Same bat time, same bat channel.I guess soupie already answered my question there but is there anything to support alex taunting us with that photo?
