Here's my entry this month. I decided to do a monochromatic piece on construction paper since I had so much of it left from the LRG Kids challenge. It's Tasarau, probably one of my favorite LRG figures of all time.

I've been working on my entry for about 30 hours now(not including the studies), and am almost done carving. Will probably need 1 more day to finish that and ink, if no one minds.

I thought I had more time too... took me ages to get an idea, then ages to get the motivation, and then I did the line-art and left it for a few weeks and then I realised OH CRAP IT'S DUE TODAY! Kind of sucks having life and other rubbish to juggle around huh? If only everything revolved entirely around toys.

Thank you for the praise. I try to always bring something unique to these. I probably overdid it this time though.
First, there were the study sketches, all 11 of them adding up to about 35-40 hours PREPERATION. Then there was the scanning and 2" shrink-printing to fit the overhead projector and dry erase markers to plot and scale on 3'x3' pvc plate for 5 hours.

Then the over 30 hours of handcramping, backacheing carving.
Then the 3 hours of etching pointalism and 5 hours of dremel water effects, which really helped define the charachters.

All this and still no color, but this Print Plate can press copies indefinately once I get access to a college-grade press.I can ink the plate if these pics are too hard to make out.
Last is a pic of the figures (minus clawfull, which I don't have) that were featured in the piece, for scale.

I would like to give a big thanks to DarrylWesley for getting me thinking about print plates again, as they used to be my preferred medium what seems like ages ago. Also a shout to the makers of SPARKS energy beer, without wich the 20 hour art marathons wouldn't have been possible.

Hot damn, i go away for a minute and all of a sudden this might be about the best contest ever. GREAT work everyone, seriously. I had a bit of a network crisis over the weekend but i'm getting it all sorted out....gotta rescan my entry to fix that blur and then i'll get on setting up the poll, should be able to get it done tomorrow.

And once again, these entries are ridiculously good. Reccoom, i had no idea of the scale of yours until that last pic, completely blew my mind.

Great work everyone This contest has definitely brought out some of the best in our LRG Artists. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out. I do not frequent the fan art section that often and whenI do I am always shocked at the great work that is out there.

When the voting gets started someone advertise the shizznit out of it in the shout box. This way I will be sure to vote.
