Wow! For as small a community as we are in the grand scheme of things, to be able to pull together ~$400 in 24 hours to help support this place that we love so much is truly incredible. Thanks so much for all you to do keep this going for us Johnny and thanks to everyone for their contribution. You really are some great folk!

Absolutely, i know that over the years i have easily saved $400 by doing all my toy deals on the board and through PMs. Insuring this can continue for x more number of years was a no-brainer. (Which is good because I'm a no-brainer. :))

Here we go:

18 total contributors, including the two who put up items to sell to raise funds for this.

I won't mention names or amounts, just in case anyone wants to remain anonymous, but you guys know who you are.

$405.12 raised ($355.12 sent, $50 on it's way)

Ultra fast 160gb Intel SSD ordered today from NewEgg. Should be here early next week.

A hugemongous Thanks! Not only from me, but from everyone else in the group who will benefit from lightning fast drive speed on the server.

How much downtime we looking at to install it, and when? :D

I am planning on doing it Saturday. But I might get anxious when I get home tonight and do it then. B)

Downtime would be about 1-2 hours.

Ok, guys! SSD was installed last night. On this end it seems like it is 3 times as fast. Please let me know how performance increases on your end.

I got a fast internet service so I really cant tell if its even faster. Maybe the ones with dail-up or slow internet service should feel the diffrence. Its always good to see some upgrades to LRG.
