The guy knows what he has and I got out of the conversation that he just did not want to pay the price for extra pictures...LOL

What a bunch of crap. I've never been a seller on Ebay, so I don't know how much pictures cost. What, about $.25 - $.75? Really, guy doesn't want to throw in a few more pennies for the possibility of more money??? What a load of garbage. ESPECIALLY with it already being at $305.

I have a less negative outlook on this situation.

First He may not want to photograph them b/c they might have clearence stickers on them or something.
Second if this person knew what they had in the first place wouldn't they already have been part of an internet community that specializes in info about these, something like LRG. Third, is this something that can be afford-ably faked, like the top row shows 36 four packs, could they have simply been amassing open, damaged or common four packs to create this auction?

I think this is likely old store stock, smuggled into some forgotten closet, from some closed down store.

It's possible he set up an Ebay account to shop around, or possibly had plans to sell before but decided it might not have been the right time.

I personally have used star wars cases to store figures that weren't necessarily in that case packout. I also have been known to stockpile toys if the price is right, especially if that means free from some store closing. (note I have never gotten old store stock when a store closed.)

Weird things slip through the cracks over time. It is not unheard of for lots of carded figures to appear out of some attic, closet, or basement where they were either doubles or forgotten presents.

I currently own several extra cases of Gormiti, some are factory sealed, and some are filled with odds and ends I found on sale. I also now have several packages that have "unsightly" clearance stickers plastered all over them. I feel these stickers provide character to these pieces. I don't doubt that I will be buying more cases when the price is right.

Different people have different ideas of what's worth saving. I'm sure almost everyone here would agree that it's ludicrous for me to be planning on buying up Gormiti since they are in the sh!tter right now.

True Jay Jay!! LOL
Pops read the listing again man, no mention ever it is from Canada. Just because the guy lives there does not mean it came from there. Also, just to let you know that it is a pieced together box, not just freshly opened and prolly no Canadian rares or Class A's. If it was a fresh box they should all be that same colors and not mixed packs. They guy knows he has something good after 35 emails from people on here. I know a few of them!!!! BILL, you dork!! Lets just tell everyone what they have and ruin it for everyone!! Didn't you learn you lesson last time? Goober!! Still love ya though, your just funny!!

I mean I'd like it to legit, but he has no other items on? 0 none. no other listed, just seems too damn weird, may be someone from the board selling incognito, you just don't find one case of toys and it's the only item you have. I mean that doesn't sound weird to everyone, when will he post the additional pictures everyone has asked for? and why hasn't he" Just way too strange for me and my funds. but what do I know with only 9300 feedback

I hear you all but I talked to the guy and he is who he says he is at least for all I know but its just a random box of 72 packs from what I gathered and an account that was just used to browse and bid on some items that he never won so he gave up. It sounds legit but that is what Ebay protection is for.
I am not worried the slightest..I could care less that they are not from Canada, all from the original box, same color, etc. I just want the lot. Besides, I know my limit and if it is shill it will catch up to him eventually.....

Any reason he can't e-mail some pics to those curious? That's free.

Someone mentioned it earlier, and while it's not very likely, I am curious if he doesn't show pictures of the individual packs because a bunch of them are open.

Emailing pics or posting pics for $.15, there really isn't any difference. For someone to use the excuse "don't want to pay extra for pics" for $.15 each is abviously an extreme tight wad and/or lazy, or something else is up.

so let's say the 72 are mint, unpunched and no stickers

and let's also say that there's no claws and nothing more than a class b

how much do you think these 72 packs are worth together?

Some where between 72 * 9 to 12. Good point, so right now it's at a descent price.

I bought a repacked 72 pack case with original box (all packs sealed and unpunched though and in great shape, 1 with a claw), just like this auction for $288 on eBay probably about 16 months ago so I would say it is worth $288, at least to me :-P

They wont always be in the shitter. Ten years from now US Gormiti and exclusives will become really valuable. Collectors from around the world will want the US exclusives and limited release two/four packs. :spiteful: I think its a great investment if you have extra cash  .

Theres a very good chance this auction might be a scam. Knowing that theres so many red flags on this auction. Why let yourself get sucked into this possibly trap. Its not worth investing your time or your money into this crap.

I hope that Im wrong that this isnt a scam.

To me I think you're right. If it doesn't get too pinheaded, I think you'll make out good. Even if it doesn't have any Class A figures/Claws in the 4 packs, it's still a good deal. You'll have another weird item to put next to the deer head.

That is in the ballpark of what I value it. $684 - $864.

I have no idea what is driving the price of this 4 pack: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item3a63649791

$31, really?

This auction is pretty interesting. Here is my take on it all. The owner has to know at least a little about muscle, why else would one own dozens of four packs if they werent collectors. My guess is that he has owned at least 2-3 cases of these four packs and thats why he has enough for this hodge podge of four packs that he is using to fill this case. That said, anybody who owns multiple cases is obviously a collector of muscles. Which means the packs in this case are either not perfect or not including any special or rare figures. That said though, it is still a nice lot of four packs assuming that the ones arent pictured are not totally trashed. The user id is obviously in question, I dont so much think that its a scam, I think its someone who is known that doesnt want to be known. It all seems fairly Alex'ish to me. Im not saying its Alex, just saying its similar to what he is known for. I say bid if you are hunting for many four packs, and the re-sale may not be too bad, but I wouldnt expect any SC four packs, or other rare figures in them because the seller obviously knows about muscle.

Also just to rub it in a little. I bought my case of 144 four packs for $500 tee hee hee.
