Alex, you have that poor girl who I got the claw auction from in a tizzy. She just offered me $100 to buy back the claw when it gets here. Hahaha.

I let her know that it wasn't worth that much and pointed her to the super rares section in the FAQ. I told her if she comes across any of those, to post it here and let the auction run it's course.

I sent her a message to find out who ended the auction early. All I said is that I hope she got good money for it as it is worth more to collector's than most. I was also curious to find out how me ending an auction outside of ebay is different than any of you ending an auction outside of ebay. I thought is wierd that the only two bidders were Doc and Beligerant and then it ended early with no commotion out of them, so it led me to think one of them ended it. We have all done it at least one time or another. Made an outside offer.

Guys, this community has always been about friends collecting MUSCLEs and Kinnikuman. It has always had a fell to it that other groups did not have. We have always been kind and giving to one another.  When we bicker, we forgive and forget. When we argue, we laugh it off the next day.

In light of all the shizznit going on lately, I would hate to see it change.

I agree. I think this whole thing has grown a mind of its own. We had our concerns about Alex being a shill bidder, which turned out to be false. Alex freaked out about the whole situation and lied (pretty elaborately, I might add), but eventually came clean. Nobody was scammed out of money and $910 is still the most paid for a MUSCLE. I think we can certainly put this behind us and move on.

The first time it was listed is still a little suspicious to me ( I sort of figured Yapiel was bidding it up because he did not want me to have it for some reason, I think if the seller was planning on re-selling with the intentions to make more money, he would not have sent me a second chance offer for like $50 less than what Yapiel was supposed to pay for it and didn't), and the one that belig has came from a second purple claw auction that you had closed early, I no longer have a problem with that either, since it went to a good cause. During that time, it was not known you were the one who had it closed though ( http://www.littlerub...wtopic=1590&hl= ), according to you the one that Belig has mysteriously came from one of your uncles, who just happened to have a purple claw to spare.

I really don't care. I just think it is funny that you got so caught up in your lies that you can not even remember the story anymore.

Reread the post..I did buy that one for like $40, the first one, in the package remember. Yes, and I got the second one outside of ebay like you said. I gave one of the two to Beligerant1, that was my intention. I guess I went about getting this one the wrong way too, by offering outside of ebay, like the first BHS, but I wasn't sure who was going to win and I thought why not give myself a better chance at getting it by offering. Sorry for offering outside of ebay again like the first BHS auction, but I wanted to be sure I had it for the next person, since we all decided that you guys should be the next to have it if you can remember. I eventually made that story about the relatives in Jersey, because no one here knew at the time that it was me, I effed up there too. But I did give it to him, am I right?

Basically, what I am saying is that you all were right about the Yapiel account and how I came about getting the Purple Claws and the BHSs, but I wanted you to know that all your assumptions about how I was shill bidding to raise the price and making up auctions to test the value of my figures were all false.

There is nothing wrong with bidding on auctions with other legit accounts that successfully complete a transaction. People do it all the time and I know that people here have done it and still do it. I just wanted to set the truth straight and come clean.

Now that ALL the FACTS are out in the open, the only thing he is guilty of is being greedy and lies to cover up his greedy actions.

I know for FACT that many around here offer sellers outside of Ebay deals. So that should NOT be held against him!

I know for FACT that Alex GAVE me my 1st Satan Cross G1 for FREE and that he GAVE Beligerant his!

I have NO BEEF with what Alex has done other than the lies to cover it all up. I can forgive him for that due to the reaction he has received around here when he finally told the truth. There are STILL sour grapes because he owns what he owns and pays what he pays.

Anyways, as far as making an offer outside of eBay, I do it every once in a while, but to be honest, when it comes to a super rare, or something of that like, I feel cheated and a little irked if someone buys it early. Mainly because I know that it didn't reach it's full value, and also because I didn't get to see the bidding war, haha. Odd.

You know Marty, I would have to disagree with that. I don't think anyone on this board suffers from penis envy (for lack of a better term). I really don't think that is the case here. At least, in all my years in this group, I haven't seen it.

I guess I need to clarify my thoughts... I wrote this in a rush before I ran out the door with my family.

What I mean is...

If Alex had used his aforbes user name and bid against Philly to have 2 (greedily) he WOULD HAVE gotten nearly as much sh*t as he has right now for using his brother's Ebay name to bid and win it.

I feel, since the guy paid $910 for a BHS (which BTW is SICK) he should get ZERO flack whether he used his Ebay name or his brother's.

The ONLY problem I have is the lies he made to cover up and I KNOW Alex feels STUPID & SICK now that he has just come clean.

I will be honest, I spoke with him on the phone several days ago about this and asked him to come clean...he didn't with me either. He has APPOLOGIZED up and down to me and I accept his sincere appology and that is that...with ME.

This was NOT a case of shill bidding, but, since he wasn't honest...we ALL came to the only conclusions we could...who would have thought he owned 2 MINT BHS w/ plugs still attached? We didn't...

I am NOT saying that people are truly jealous of what he owns, but, they sure as hell would NOT have liked seeing him bid on EVERY one that pops up w/ his user name. Obviously that is why he used his brother's name to bid on it...so Philly wouldn't know it was him. Not the smartest move as EVERYTHING lead to him as far as location, photos, etc...

When I said, "There are STILL sour grapes because he owns what he owns and pays what he pays." I think by SOME of the posts it is obvious collectors here weren't and aren't happy he got those 2 purple claws and the 2nd BHS.

As far as offering sellers for their items outside of Ebay...MOST of us have done it. I stopped a few years ago as soon as I found out it was a violation of Ebay policy (which they only made it a policy a few years ago 3-4).

The ONLY mistake he made was NOT coming clean when he had a chance...he has now and to me that is that.

I will still communicate with Alex, I will trust him until I personally have reason not to.

This has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on here. To be honest, I cannot even remember what you are referring to. I can remember putting some Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E.s up for auction and having someone ask me to sell some figures out of them, but they were already up for auction with pictures taken and sorted out into various lots, which is probably why I denied your request if this is what this is about.

I think Godbeast (although rather gayish addmitting his love for Alex) explained it pretty well. Contrary to the whole BHS incident (and maybe my smart arse remark that started this thread), I actually like the guy. I have had several transactions with him in the past and none have been short of stellar. He sends items often in good faith, and has even sent me free gifts out of generosity. As he mentions himself he likes to give. I appreciate greatly what he has added to my collection. I would not have any second thoughts about dealing with him in the future.

But this is where I am confused. It has bothered me since the news was brought to my attention. Once I have found out about the Yapiel and Alex being the same person, why did he not pay for the first purple claw auction the first time he out bid me for it (like I mentioned earlier the seller offered me a second chance for a smaller amount because "Yapiel" backed out). Was it just a matter of you not wanting me to have it??? As far as you bidding and winning it when it got re-listed, I don't care, I thought it was funny at the time because you said you shouldn't and then did, and then lied about not seeing the thread. The whole BHS auction, well most know how I felt about that, but I have long since forgave Alex for that because I have come to learn that "on the side" transactions are fairly common (BHS, Purple claw, anything else etc...). I still do not do that, but I do not get pissed at people who do anymore because it seems like everyone does. I actually really apprecite the fact that johnny had me in mind. I love the guy.

Like Marty said, the only thing Alex is really guilty of is being a liar and a greedy spoiled kid. I assume the alternate name was used to avoid getting shizznit from the board after he promised everybody not to touch another auction with a super rare because he did not want to be "greedy". Or whatever the reason, having the account was not wrong, the way he handled it and getting caught up in a huge chain of lies was.

As for Doc Dew, shizznit like that is why I missed you so much man. Glad to have you back.

It's not that I did not want you to have it, I did not want someone off the boards or someone that just bid at the last minute that wasn't really going to stick with the hobby after a while to get it. I kinda wanted it too but didn't really express that at the time. The thing that made me back out at the end after I had won was the fact that the Yapiel account did not have a paypal account set up at the time, so therefore I could not send the Money through Paypal without my own arforbes Paypal account with my address clearly showing my own name, and I didn't want to send money through another account other than the winning bidder Yapiel Paypal account, which like I said was not established back then. I figured this might give my little "secret" away if someone was to ask where the figure went to (same address would have been a giveaway). I could have just sent a Money Order, but then again it would have been coming from my address with my name and I didn't want to take the risk back then, simple as that. I took this risk with the BHS auction though. I could have sent a Money Order for the Purple Claw despite all this, but chose not to, that's why you got your second chance offer from the seller I'm guessing. Once you gave that low second chance offer response, the seller relisted. Then I won it again for the second time as arforbes. I'm an eff.

I dont have too much to add to what has already been said, but here goes -

I dont know if I was the first one to see the new purple hand auction, but I brought it to the attention of doc and jkaris (which is why you saw me and doc had bid, and jkaris eventually bought it out). Both me and jkaris attempted to buy out the auction, when I found out jkaris already made an offer, I lowballed it to make his offer good. My intent was to win the auction and give doc the purple claw (there were also figs in the lot that I wanted for myself). This is not entirely different from when alex got the second purple claw and gave it away (or even the second BHS since he claimed to be giving that one away too). I can understand why you would want to have multiple rare figures, if only to give them away, it is a cool feeling to be able to give someone something they have been after when they might not have been able to get it without your help. I think what a lot of us dont understand is the extremes it was carried to in your case, the shadiness, the lying, a bid war with a fellow board member (I think it would be more permissible if it were someone outside of the group or if you didnt already have the figure). For instance, no matter how much I would like to see Doc get the purple claw, I am not going to spend $900 for it, and I would not directly prevent another board member from getting it. That said, if I see it first I dont feel bad about snatching it up, or making sure the right person does (I like to think that you earn that privilidge if you are vigilant enough to spot the auction first, an honor arforbes has won many times in the past). When it comes to collecting, none of us can judge what is fair, or who deserves a figure the most. It irks me when people have two of one figure and wont trade one away or when someone spends more than common sense dictates (it puts those figures further out of my reach the next time it pops up due to the value inflation) but it is just a jealous streak and I know that it is completely their right to do that. All is fair in collecting, but there is a certain tact that is required in order to not piss everyone off too badly when you get something that is widely desired. I think arforbes is a great asset to this community, his zeal for collecting muscle is something that I think motivates a lot of us, and i know first hand how generous he can be. I think that the lesson that should be learned here by him, and by everyone who may be in a similar position in the future, is that everyone wants to feel like they have a fair shot at increasing their collection and that the methods you use to do so will be scrutinized, so just think about that before you act.

Just like I did the Purple Claw, with the intention of giving it to someone later, which I did. I was hoping to eventually do the same with this, but haven't yet because of how much the effing thing was and that I don't know who would be deserving enough, because everyone wants one. I had Philly in mind because he was the high bidder and I felt bad to outbid him at the last moment. I like doing nice things I guess for my friends. Something else you guys may not know, I have a shizznit load of money and it really isn't that important to me, I give all the time, if you only knew how much.

Maybe if you all would have just asked me instead of sneakingly searching for clues and then straight up blaming me right off the bat, I might have told you from the get go.

Remember, the seller relisted. I contacted the seller off the side for the BHS, not the first Purple Claw, he decided to relist and I agreed, since I felt bad for outbidding Doc and that it went for so high. But then Doc persuaded everyone not to bid the second time around. I am pretty sure this is how this went, I am almost certain from reading pervious posts. You can check for yourself. I ended up winning it the second time, under arforbes. I guess I didn't want people to know it was me the first time, I'm sorry.
