  A: Yes, I am aware of that chat group. My son used to go there, but he claims some people were being mean to him. Thanks for posting the link though. It is cool to see how much exposure and how much this thing might sell for. I would have never suspected it would go for a million.

I love the feedback questions and answers because you can tell he is slowly getting frustrated.

As far as it being a board member, if it was anybody, personally, I thought it might be TMK, just because of his "ethics" and the poor quality of the figure, but the guy says his son is 26. The Monkey King was 11, I think.

But, notice that he did not post in this thread, though he did read it! Maybe that means the seller is a member...

I'm 26. Seriously this is not me though. There are a ton of members that do not post on this board, only read the comments and such. It is someone on the boards though since they know about the figure and say that their son used to visit here. Either that or they have visited here quite a few times. I wonder which non-poster it is.

Yeah I bid on it, I thought it was HILARIOUS, I knew it had a reserve and I figured it must be a high reserve cause they guy kept talking up how much the last one went for. I bid $99 but did not meet the reserve, so it is no biggie. So everyone who has an ebay account, STOP E-MAILING Me and telling me it is fake, I KNOW!

After reading his most recent responses, I think you're right. But there still might be two scenarios regarding toi_collector's motive:

1) The guy could have been joking all along, in which case, we're suckers.

2) The guy was serious at the beginning, but has since realized that he was a moron and, to save face, has made the auction into a joke.

I'm starting to think it's scenario 1. In fact, the more I think about it, this DEFINITELY IS a joke, and toi_collector HAS to be someone on the boards. Suggestions?

I'm thinking either Johnny, since he has done this type of stuff in the past (Remember Evolution, everybody?), or Veers, since he's been mysteriously quiet. This whole thing might also be a conspiracy between the two.
