No luck on SW series 3 yet but I did find Iron Man 2 figures. Picked up War Machine, Crimson Dynamo, and orginal armor Iron Man.

Also Toys R' Us had the Hulk movie line deluxe figures down to 5 dollars so I picked up a Tim Roth/Adomination figure.

I saw a venom but URS was right no leg articulation so I'll wait for a comic two pack. Sentry = <_<

I actually look forward to the Sentry figure. Not too familiar with him, but I like the cheesy design. Hates Spiderman agian though.

I needs more unique characters!!!!

When you put just the unique figures in one big photo shot like that the lack of villians seems a whole lot less obvious. They actually are releasing them at about a one villian to two hero clip. It is just that we so many Iron Mans, Spider Mans, Captain Americas, Wolverine, and Human Torches.

I'm going to be honest, Sentry might be a sensational character, I just don't like what I've read about him. I also think he looks like a big cheese. I don't know I enjoy a good Super Man yarn, I love Captain Marvel (Shazam), hell I'm a bit fond of Hyperion but overall the more powerful super heros I could do without. Every one can agree about not needing another Spider-Man though.

Hmm, I don't know. I only count like 12 villains? There are 50+ figures in that shot. That's more 1 every 4, and 4 of the figures are just non specific army builders. Although some of my favorite Marvel Characters are the heroes, there are just so many villains that should be tapped into. Right now I just feel like Hasbro is just redoing the Marvel Legends figures over in a smaller scale line.

I agree with Sentry. His back story is far too reaching. I looked him up on the Marvel wiki after seeing him on the list, and I have to say...Very strange direction gone with that character. I had stopped reading and buying comics the year he popped onto the scene, but I do recall reading that Wizard article on him mentioned in the notes section. (probably still have that issue)

http://marvel.wikia....lds_(Earth-616)

I'd like to read some issues using him though. All of a sudden I have a big desire to see an Ultraverse toy line in this scale. :D Who own's the Ultraverse characters now? :D **Guess Marvel still owns them. :D Wonder if Hasbro has access to these charcters. An Ultraverse side line would be pretty fun.

Alright my math is a little off, with SW wave 3 giving us a villian explosion it is just easier to see them now. I agree we need more villians. Thankfully marvel is a lot more interconnected then DC you get a lot of bad guys who fight more than one hero but some heros rogues gallery aren't present at all.

Also I counted 15 diffrent villians, 16 with the double hand ninja.

Your right! I wonder who I missed the first time I counted. :D So that's more like 1 for 3. A little better.

It seems there were alot more one on one nemesis in DC comics, where as Marvel was either whole teams versus one villain. The Avengers were always having problems with one enemy at a time it seemed. :D Ultron, Doom, Magneto, Task Master, Absorbing Man, etc. The X-Men seemed to battle groups of other characters as well as one on one battles. Thinking about it, I can see why Hasbro might be torn when deciding who to release next. Marvel fans love full team rosters, and lets face it, they are the best teams ever made in comic history, but they also love the villains. I have to say. I think although I'd like to see more core villains introduced early on, I would much prefer to see a full team roster built. With the way things look for the waves this year, it would seem Hasbro is thinking of isolating particular groups per wave. The X-men wave is awesome. Then we have the next wave due out, which is more of a loner wave. Hopefully Hasbro will do a few team waves then give us a pure villain wave. I think folks would eat them up quicker and more easily that way.

X-men wave, Avengers wave, Sinister Six, New Warriors, Inhumans, X villains, etc....

I agree.
I would also love to see them throw some of the more obscure characters in there as well.
Sleepwalker. Darkhawk. Rom.

I also eagerly await a Skaar, and Hiro-Kala. The whole Fall of the Hulks/ World War Hulks arc just reeks of fun.

If only we could get Sleepwalker, Darkhawk, and Rom! :( Something makes me think we will see a Rom figure, perhaps an exclusive of some sort.

So is there anything planned for this year that anyone is disappointed in? I'm a little sore about these exclusive battle packs myself.

http://i.marvelousne...d...600&start=0

Nothing but repaints. Panther and Punisher are supposed to be new, but there is nothing new as far as characters in any of them. :)

Yeah, I'll have to see these in person but that photo doesn't do much for me. I'll probably pick up the new Black Panther but past that not looking like there is anything I need to add. Speaking of additions, I just found out URS can add Secret Wars Iron Man to his group pick because it was Rhodes in the Armor not Tony Stark. The more I know!

Jinrail, I'll add my current "if I was in charge of MU" list.

1. Quicksilver- Son of Magneto, charter member of The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Avenger, X-Factor, plus he should be easy to pull off just a new head sculpt.
Classic light blue costue w/ a later green variant
2. Blackbolt- Leader of the Inhumans, friend of the Fantastic Four, member of the Illuminati, only has one classic costume that I know of.
3. Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)-New Avenger, other things I don't know much about, I think it is a fun costume and It keeps Bendis happy
4. Baron Zemo-Avenger baddie, Captain America foe, Thunderbolt backer, we need more villians
5. Loki-You know Loki mainly from being a thorn in Thors side

Some characters that I think have less chance because of cost of being made

The Beast (blue furry version)
The Kingpin
Man-Ape
Werewolf by Night
Wolfsbane

You know Jay, I actually considered adding one of the other IM figs to the shot, since Rhodes dawned the armor once, but I opted not to, not sure why now that I think of it. I mean I put the Bucky Cap in the pic, but left out Ultimate Cap since he is not a 616 character. And put both Green and Gray Hulk in there, since there was that stuff when Banner, Green Hulk, and Gray Hulk were all separated.

I'm pretty confident that if they were made in the Legends line we will see them in this one. Juggernaut makes it easy to believe we will bet a Beast and Kingpin. But I've already mentioned so many characters in older posts I'd like to see, that it's a shame we won't get them all. It's obvious Hasbro is at odds within itself. We have the practical Hasbro financial teams who are obviously trying to rape as much money from collectors as possible with these useless repaints of the same characters, then the production teams who obviously would like to release more new characters every wave! Just sucks.

I'd like to see an actual Bruce Banner figure now that I think of it. Which really goes against what I think about useless non supe character figures.

Crud I'd like to see - Aside from all the ones you mentioned mrjay.
Jack of Hearts
Baldur
Machine Man
Red Sonja

Beast ect. was sorta of a typo I think as long as Marvel Universe is around there is a very good chance we will get at least Beast and Kingpin. Wolfsbane is 50/50 and the other two are long shots. Although the way Ploog drew WbN I think he would look great with a Silver Surfer style body.

Cost is the reason I have a new list of wants. Ones I think are more likely to get made. On an overall list I don't know if Quicksilver breaks the top twenty, but with his steamlined costume all they need is a new head sculpt. Like I said there are at least two variants that are so close you just need to change the paint. Someday soon I should probably make a top 25 wants list so I can keep up with what is released.

By the same note, do you think sales would dip if instead of another Captain America we got a U.S. Agent or Red Guardian?

Wikipedia has SW Iron Man listed as James Rhodes on the MU page. I also thought you included both grey and green Hulks because it gave the photo a nice semetry.

My only issue with your body choice for Wolfsbane? is that She was a chick. :D I remember getting Wolfsbane and Feral confused back when the New Mutants came out. ...I'd love to get a Feral, and full New Mutants roster... sucks that is unlikely to happen.

I really don't understand what Hasbro is thinking. I remember buying Ninja Turtle figures, and I was always drawn more to the obscure characters rather than the Turtle rehashes and crap. Also some of the most successful Star Wars figures have always been the aliens and uniquely sculpted figures. Don't get me wrong, the Spider-mans will always be top sellers, but I think Hasbro is underestimating the shopping smarts of kids. If anyone, it's the parents who keep picking out these Spider-Man figures over and over again thinking, "Stevie loves Spider-Man!" I remember going to the toy aisles by myself even when I was like 5...you could do that then. And I would stay there picking and choosing until my folks came and got me. Everything played a role. This figure has missiles! This figure looks cool, but does he look cooler than this guy? This figure has a lamo chopping action, I don't want that. Sculpting and originality was so much better back then, that's for sure. :D I mean I'm actually hoping we get an Agent and Red Guardian.

And really I don't know what I was thinking when picking out figures for that shot. I forgot that I put both Hawkeye and Ronin in there. ;) Guess I was thinking of that chick who posed as Ronin for a while. Soo...that counts. :D Next time I promise, I'll put in another Iron Man. :D

I'm just ragging on your group shot because I kept thinking you missed somebody, then realizing nope I'd just missed him. Jim Hammonds Torch check and one other who I can't remember I thought I had you but they were in there.

I for sure want a U.S. Agent and as for Red Guardian while not making my list of figures I really want anytime soon another unique character is always welcome over a repaint. This is really a glaring problem with the Target battle packs aren't exclusives by nature geared more towards collectors. There is no way we can't figure out how to get a unique character in at least one of the four. Just paint up a Captain America sculpt in Agent colors and gimme.

And I was taking about Jack Russell Werewolf by Night not Wolfsbane with the SS body type. Sorry for my confusing abbreviations.

What's so bad, is the exclusiveness of these things, being you only get one with a subscription, has actually made them difficult to get them, and those Nutty collectors have driven the prices up considerably on eBay.

As soon as this line dies, which it might if prices keep going up, parents will opt to buy a cheaper IM or SM figure instead of one of these things for $9 bucks, These things will be a dime a dozen on eBay. You can just about find tons of exclusive pieces from Marvel or any other line from years past extremely easily these days.

I think Marvel is confusing the success of the Nick Fury promotion with people who were planning on subscribing anyway getting one.

Last night at WalWart I found some new Secret Wars 2 packs!!!! They had 2 packs of Dr. Doom w/ Wasp & Absorbing Man, 2 packs of Storm & Nightcrawler, and 1 pack of Bulldozer & Thing. Since I've been salivating for Nightcrawler I chose the better paint apps in one pack. Also grabbed 1 pack with Doom and Absorb. Both of these sets are very well done. Great sculpts, dimensions, and paints. Except Storm. Nothing at all remarkable about her. I don't like the punk version they have conceived for her. Would have rather seen the long flowing hair and black cape. Doom looks awesome and reminds me of the original Secret Wars fig from the 80's. They are still at $12.88 for these sets. I cant remember which Wave these are a part of. I know URS posted a link once indicating the fact. Thought I would sound the alarm about their availability. B)

I'm in eastern Iowa. Not exactly a hotbed for new toy releases!!! But our local Wal-Wart has just recently gotten its act together. Just a few short months ago, even leading up to and thru the holiday season, they had the most pathetic selection of action figures. It was to the point where I was considering talking to the manager and making some suggestions. But suddenly, action figures have been steadily flowing into this store location. It started with just 4 pegs for MU with one fig per peg B) . Then they added some SW pegs. Next came a late release of XMO:W and some DC Universe 6" figs. When they did the reset for IM2 I noticed the Marvel U section got expanded as well and now they have been stocking these new areas with regularity. So, I am one happy toy shopper happy to shop locally. :)

The closest Wal-Mart had a huge selection cleared for more bakugan (sp) at the expense of Marvel Universe which is now combined into four pegs with X:O worlverine and Wolverine and the X-Men toys. It saddens me everytime I stop in to look for wave 7.

OH NOOOOOO!!!! Damn Bakugan straight to Hades!!! Kids today are really subjected to some awful looking toys.
As if Bakugan sections aren't expansive enough already. Our Wal-Wart recently clearanced XMO:W and I finally scored a Blob/Sabretooth 2 pack. I REALLY dig the Sabretooth! I think the 2 pack with him and Wolvie on his cycle has a different Sabre sculpt and I'd like to nab that too sometime. I also think that particular pack is a TRU Xclusive....

The body's the same as far I know, just the colors/pattern and the headsculpt. I've still got an extra MISB set of those guys and I bought them cheap last year from TRU.com too, so let me know. I could sell or trade them for some IM2 stuff or whatever.

My local Walmart never restocked after the fluke resurgence of the last MU SHIELD wave (5, right?). They've invested entirely in the IM line and won't carry MU or even Spider-Man. Some stores do not like their comic properties! And yet exactly one complete ML Holocaust could be built from their equally random ML reappearance.
