It was pretty amazing... She was in character from the moment she was in full-costume. I'm kicking myself in the ass, for not having the forethought to go as a hyena.

This is me/the "nice" picture I use if conventions ask for a photo. Normally I'm more sleep deprived with disheveled hair.

That shit is eleven years old, haha. I was about to say something about you missing it the first time around, but you didn't come around until '07.

what's the little wooden structure you're shooting from? I go to ranges from time to time and haven't seen anything like that here. I'm assuming it has an adorable British name though

It just marks where to shoot from for each type of launch. Not sure if it has a special name though. This particular launch was a left & right simultaneous one - pretty hard.

Looks like a cheap way to build booths for shooter stations in the open.
Ha! I don't think it matters whether the frames are built from wood or metal - it wouldn't protect you very well from a 65mm shotgun shell.

It's not supposed to protect you from a shell, it's to designate a specific position for the shooter and to limit their field of view. You also generally won't be allowed to load your gun unless you're within a cage.
I know it isn't, I wasn't suggesting it was, it was meant to be tongue in cheek. I didn't realise you were a clay pigeon aficionado as well as an LRG one.

Ah, well, thank goodness you would never mistake something I wrote that was tongue in cheek.
I'm not a clay aficionado, one does not have to be an aficionado about something to know something about it.
