It was pretty amazing... She was in character from the moment she was in full-costume. I'm kicking myself in the ass, for not having the forethought to go as a hyena.

what's the little wooden structure you're shooting from? I go to ranges from time to time and haven't seen anything like that here. I'm assuming it has an adorable British name though ;)

It just marks where to shoot from for each type of launch. Not sure if it has a special name though. This particular launch was a left & right simultaneous one - pretty hard.

It's just called a shooting safety cage. This is so you only shoot the clays and not each other.

Ha! I don't think it matters whether the frames are built from wood or metal - it wouldn't protect you very well from a 65mm shotgun shell.

It's not supposed to protect you from a shell, it's to designate a specific position for the shooter and to limit their field of view. You also generally won't be allowed to load your gun unless you're within a cage.

I know it isn't, I wasn't suggesting it was, it was meant to be tongue in cheek. I didn't realise you were a clay pigeon aficionado as well as an LRG one.
