That would imply that people in this forum actually like this arc. *suggested almost two years ago to start translating U.Tag just incase*

*yes I'm bitter leave me alone*

[edit]

@ Ramenking: Shimada confirmed it months ago in the interview they had with Nama Niku. Plus the recent volume (28) said the next one will be the last.

That sucks, I personally love Ultimate Muscle, now I geuss my question is also... Will someone pick up translating it. It doesent even have to be with The Ultimate Muscle dubs names, I just wanna keep reading what happens with Mantaro.

Ohh well at least they got to volume 29, I guess I will have to settle for that.

That's exactly what I told yesterday. It is really shitty, regardless the saga is good or not.

The must effed up thing is, I still don't really understand the timeline after volume 29 LOL
I still have to read deeply through this forum, because there isn't many simple well explanations about the splitting in 2 different series in different magazines.

Regarding the scanlation issue, if I could translate properly or even have enough time to colaborate... I got some japanese volumes from the tag team saga (numers 1, 16 and 17 even though I can't read them at all LOL) If anyone could start a project it would be awesome. It's just so lame to have the generation 1 first 36 volumes in my country edition (spanish) and the 29 from the Viz Nisei ones and not having the opportunity to read the rest u_u

Yeah I agree i'm Huge fan of kinnikuman and it's really a shame that 29 is it I mean yeah we get some good stuff in Vol 29. But its still like don't start something and get a fanbase and then just say "Sorry bout that but thats da end LOLZ" I have spent a great deal of money on VIZ and now they pull this it makes me so Mad!

But yeah it be great if some one picked it up for all the fans to read that would rock hard.

When the shadowed figure (which turned out to be Kevin Mask) took the Kinnikuman Great Mask I thought that this figure would turn out to be a Kinnikuman Great who came into existance by some deus ex machina device. This Kinnikuman Great would then have a personality that was an amalgram of Kamehame, Terryman, Chaos, and Ikeman. Moreover this Kinnikuman Great would wear the repaired mask over his real face (which is exactly like the mask only real) and then when it got pulled off everyone is like "he has another mask on?" Then when the next attempt to take off KG's "mask" fails (since his "mask" is actually his face), everyone is speechless or like "who is this guy???"

Also, while Thunder bit into the rope to avoid the impact to his face did he still get his knees damaged?

Viz and Yudetamago are done because the sales in the US market have dried up. They would lose money if they did the next series ~ not worth the time or investment.

The popularity of Nisei has dwindled in Japan as well. The whole thing is up in the air right now but they are still trying hard to make it work. WPBC has changed their position (or so they said) so here's hoping for the best.

I'm looking forward to the Mayumi series though ~ 肉

I understand, I'm not annoyed at Viz and Yude for making a business decision, especially in this day and age.
What I'm annoyed at is that I basically saw this coming (albeit not for these reasons) and was ignored. ]:

I'm looking forward to the Mayumi series though

whyyyyyy. Maybe its just me, but I'm just not interested in a story (that we already mostly know) about Kin's jerkass bumbling father, especially when there are much more interesting characters in this world to do stories of.

Well the main Thing here is will anybody else pick it up like fans or what have you, or is that just it for us Nisei fans do just have to sit there saying "hmmmmm i wonder how da manga ended" cos this manga of the week is great one of the best parts of the LRG.

But as we all know its not like haveing the book/reading for the most part you can't really get the gist of what happing (well ok you can a litte) but i just think thats its a real shame as Kinnikuman Nisei is my fav manga and now that its done i feel gutted. Lets just hope that some does pick it up and we can see the end.

whyyyyyy.

Because I support Yudetamago 110%. Any Kinnikuman is better than no Kinnikuman IMO, and those guys have to still make a living somehow.

My way of giving back for everything I love about Kinnikuman and everything they have done in the past is to show Friendship Power by sticking with them through thick and thin.

I know you are a hardcore Yudekkii Jenny, and would hate to see the legacy shrivel up and die. That is why I am looking forward to it. Even if it sucks I am still going to buy it and blog about it, but I have confidence it is going to be good ~ already seen concept sketches... So get ready!

..and now I feel like a jerk. You're right, having the Mayumi prequel is better then nothing at all.

I do support the series and I will no matter what, I guess I'm just biased against characters I don't really like ahaha. ^^''

Concept sketches huh? What were they like?

Well, I will still support any work they do from here on. The point of my (and other people) complaints are that there is like only 20% of knowledge of what the hell is going on in the story. It would be great to work on a translation of any no licensed stuff of kinnikuman.
That way, not only the art would be enjoyed, but the story too (and I've always enjoyed the plot as much!)

And all the prequels are always exciting and awesome! It would be great to see more of prince Kamehame youth adventures.

Anyway, is there any web that host raws of the tag team saga volumes? 'Cause... there's more than 110 pages in this topic to search at all!

A new arc? This arc has been going on since roughly 2004. Once it finishes up, that will probably be it for Nisei.

As for new material, there's the Mayumi prequel to look forward to.

This arc has been going on since 2004? Thats ridiculous, well then I guess after this arc then it really will be time to wrap it up. I wish it would have lasted longer. Also I dont care what people say Nisei may have alot of refrences to Kinnikuman, but its still really good. I think it was a good sequel, and really had a great story.

Heres to the Mayumi Prequel, hopefully it can deliver and be as entertaining as Nisei, and Kinnikuman.

I love Yude, I hope they keep writing Kinnikuman related material even after the prequel.

I think it would be short like the Robin Mask backstory. As for the wrestling in Mayumi's day, would it be like how he and Harabote demonstrated it in the Kinnikuman Superhuman Oylimpics?

One of the problems I have with Nisei is the cast of Justice Chojin. Besides Mantaro and Kevin Mask, they're all jobbers and have little involvement in the story.

A Prime Mayumi vs. Prime Harabote is very possible. I would also love to see Harabote working his way up to become the chairman while of course still giving Mayumi a hard time :).
