So i went a few different places today trying to find the last two Secret Wars packs i need, and the Marvel Universe selection around here is turning to crap. I've still only seen ANY single-carded 2010 figures once, when i got my Vision a couple months back. I'm not as concerned about those as i am the SW stuff...i figure the Marvel Universe pegs will be around and getting random stuff for a while, but now that the Secret Wars line is over those pegs are gonna go away.

Well, I've been seeing everything more and more lately. Toys'R'Us even had more fresh MU stock today... so I found my replacement Widow. Man there were 2 there, and one of them was just FUUUGLY!! Her hair was halfway covering her eyes, and her makeup was smeared all over her face. Whew!

But now I'm curious, so instead of taking my old one back to Wal-Mart while I was in the area, I decided it would be interesting to see what Hasbro would send me in exchange. So I'm gonna send her back, and see what random goodyness I get. Boa has me very curious to see the outcome.

I have seen the Mr. Fantastic/Ultron SW pack repeatedly, but nothing else out of Wave 3. It's like we got cases of just that set in.

Havent really seen to many new things from this line in along time. My TRU just recently started getting in some newer one which included Luke Cage, new Spiderman Captain American Ironman ect. I wish they had released Fury as a regular charcter instead of that dumb digital comic sub giveaway.

so wow the distribution on this line seems pretty regionally varied. i never found Namor in NW Ohio, the day i moved i went to target and he was pegwarming there, they had like four. I bought one. His head is weird but i like Namor, so it's all good.

New packaged pics of Wave 4.

http://i.marvelousne.....F2010/Wave_04

First impressions I only like half of them. I'm disappointed in Iron Patriot (thought he came with a shield?), Iron Spider-Man just sucks. I hate the Black Costume Spider-Man body. And Mary Jane is just gonna look like she came off the short bus. The rest look pretty sick though.

I'm more annoyed at not getting my X-Men wave yet.

I don't know much about the Iron Spider but I think he looks sick, to bad I already know what to expect from that body, I guess I just like shiney paint. Wrecker and skrull soldier look like the only home runs in this wave. Winter Soldier I'll hold off til I have in hand but he looks good.

I found Black Widow at least two weeks ago to complete the last wave and now looks like I'll probably have anywhere from 7 to 10 figures to buy at once. The X-Men wave and whatever I cherry pick from the Iron Man II line. And it looks like they will all be coming out at the same time.

only one that looked good to me was iron patriot, rest seemed kinda ugly. i think so far my favorites are sabertooth (sab/wol 2 pack) and deadpool.

I don't think there's anything inherently inferior about the switch to the smaller Marvel scale, but Hasbro, you're honestly not helping. More use of the silly Black Spidey body and you screw up. Iron Spider-Man has three robot legs, not four.

Good eye on the Iron Spider Waldoes Boa. I think Hasbro is hoping that some folks will go nuts and start Scarlett Spider teams or something. As their Iron spider suits had four where as Peter's had 3. So I'm thinking a possible running change or variations of this figure will pop up. :D But now I'm tempted to waste my money buying 3 of the B@st@rds. :D

I don't like the BC body because it feels flimsy around the shoulders, and the hips like to pop loose. I would have much preferred them to make these guys similar in construct to the Classic Spider-Man body. Much more poseable. I also hate how the lower leg flows over the ankle joint.

And on another body note. PLEASE HASBRO!!! Make a new female body! I'll cry if Mystique looks like Shizznit!

So i found my first-ever figures from 2010 Wave 2 today. Iron Man and Luke Cage. Got Luke Cage, and am very impressed. Probably one of my favorite figures from the line so far. Luckily they had two though, one of them had the blurriest paint apps ever on his shirt.

Kind of sad i never saw 2010 wave 1 again, wish i'd have gotten more than just Vision when i had the chance.

Carded samples of the next set of Comic packs.

http://marvelousnews...23&itemid=13015

The SW comics are just for the mock up. I'm assuming the real ones are still being printed.

They look pretty good, and Phoenix's head actually looks good. My only issue is with the Venom. They reuse the thunderball body, and it appears they didn't retool a new waist. It still has the trunk wrinkles.

So I was at Wal-Wart the other day checking out toys. Big Surprise!!! I came across Black Widow in the MU section. I had decided before to not get her because she just wasn't all that appealing to me. Pretty basic with no real unique characteristics. BUT this fig had something special. It had impeccable paint apps!! I mean the eyes and lips and hair were actually done perfectly w/o flaw. I had to get it then. I had passed on her before having seen poorly done paint jobs. Have anyone of you ever found yourself enamored with just the quality of construction/detail in a toy that otherwise you probably wouldn't have paid much attention to? She really is the best quality MU fig I have. Because if I look really hard there is always some subtle flaw I can find with almost all my other MUs. If nothing else, she would be a great stand-in for Scarlet or even Barroness (w/Blade's sunglasses) for a GI Joe set up. I have no probs crossing toy lines. In fact, I find you can create awesome scenarios by doing so.

This is why i own Union Jack. I don't care about him as a character at all, but the figure was too amazing not to own.

Kamen Rider Incisor strangling Deadpool in the grip of his claw weapon, for example. He made one too many crabcake jokes...

I still haven't encountered any 2010 Universe figures. I'm not concerned yet because I don't particularly care about them, not after finding out how awful Jean Grey really looks. But I will be once Juggernaut is released. Gotta have the Juggs.

But I did find an amusing sight at Kmart. They had one or two Spideys, but no other usual shelfwarmers. Only every single Iron Man of the 2009 SHIELD series! The modern armor, classic armor, Silver Centurion, Stealth Ops... all there, more expensive than the Iron Man 2 figures and really making them look good. You'd merely need Extremis from this year and a Classic Stealth and you'd be set on Iron Man MU for some time.

would anyone every want to see:

Tony Stark (Suit)
Johnny Blaze (almost GR just headswap...kinda)
Fantastic 4 (Street Cloths)
Peter Parker (street cloths)
ect.

I think it would be kinda neat to have some casual characters instead of the always super hero figures...although that is the line and all.

I wouldn't care much for Blaze or the FF (other than Thing in his trenchcoat), but I'd absolutely love a Stark or Parker. Especially ones not hampered by quick-change-to-costume gimmicks. I think the slim chance for Stark already exists in the IM2 line in some fashion, perhaps SDCC. Parker? Well, he'd go nicely with Mary Jane, but otherwise I'm not so sure that's happening.

Yeah I was thinking of Stark with the IM2 line, but figured to post here since I had others that would be for the universe series. I hope they make him cause it would look nice to have him standing in front of the hall of armor, especially if i could get ahold of a fury....real fury not sam fury.

Oh, I'm 100% positive they will slide in a Parker figure. They will need another Spidey fig to fill out a wave eventually. He should come with a slide over cloth mask though for shizznits. And really at this point a Parker is needed to justify and compliment that hideous Mary Jane figure.

Johnny Blaze is possible, and would be cool, if only because he was a pretty solid human character in during the Dan Ketch era of the early 90's. I havn't kept up with any Ghost Rider stuff for ages though. Was never a fan of the comics, but always dug the character designs of both Riders.

I couldn't care less about street versions of the FF4. Like Boa, thing in trenchcoat would be nice...and I'm sure we might get one of those sometime too. Right now I just want my Invisible Woman.

I can picture a few full waves of Street clothed characters though. The X-men could fill a couple waves. Civilian Storm, Rogue, cyclops, beast, wolverine, colossus, etc..

That's what I love about the neck joints, all I have to do is wait for a Professor X buy two and pop a Tony Stark head on it. I'm sure the customizers out there want somebody in suit to play with.

I'd probably buy FF in street clothes but would complain because clearly they are not giving me the C-list characters I demand.

I want a Marvel Universe J. Jonah Jameson figure pretty badly. His was the only Spider-Man movie figure i actually bought. Other civilian or street clothes figures i'd buy in a heartbeat include Tony Stark, Gwen Stacy, and Fantastic Four Mailman Willie Lumpkin.

Picked up a few more figures for my armor set. I need to get rid of my double HoA figures as well as some of the 3 pack figs as well. Went ahead and tried my hand at a custom Stark in armor.

Well, this months Marvel Q&A from Hasbro was pretty lame. Nothing new except maybe an Unmasked Norman as Iron Patriot is confirmed. Also a ray of hope for Characters like Bishop and Cable. Can't wait for those 2 guys.

http://marvelousnews...23&itemid=13139

Some folks I guess keep asking for Movie figs in the MU line. Screw that. I just want comic renditions.
