The 2 packs have been hitting retail in Singapore. Not sure about the states yet.

In other news. Wave 6 is officially announced. :) Can't wait for them all. Great wave in my opinion. And Dark Hawkeye should be fun.

Ugghhh.... This line is in need of a jump start.
The Thanos figure is so tantalizingly good. Can't wait for it. Hope it doesn't take until October to see it though.

Even though we never got phasing vision and X-Men Warpath most other variants are starting to turn up. The fixed head Wolverine has been reported and some people have bought the new Havok and Archangel variants already. Problem is they are at specialty shops and very pricey. Hope this means we will seem them at regular stores though.

The variants should be released throughout the remainder of the year in refresher cases.

The only reason the dude at ComicFigs.net had them, is probably cause Hasbro gave them to him.

Well, I decided to hit a couple Kroger stores on the far side of town, right on the edge of my usual toy hunts. Figured since everyone was claiming to find them there I would at least spend the extra 10 minutes to find out. Bust at the first on, but after a good 10 minutes of scouting the second I spotted the image of Osborne, and knew I found something.

So I found a lone Colossus hiding behind some other poor excuses for toys, and looked for the rest, but no deal. As reported he didn't ring up at the register, so the lady at the CS desk got the manager, and he asked me what I thought it was worth. Told him $8 bucks at least...What? I'm no liar. :unknw: So he let me have it for $6.99 :woot: Whoopee!

Since those are the only 2 of 3 Krogers in my state at a reasonable driving distance, I decided to finish off the trip with my usual stops. Next was my local Music store. They have had MU stuff in stock from time to time, and sure enough there was a lone Archangel on a peg in the back... Shazbots. 2 places had these things, and I missed both opportunities. Angel was $9.99, and well... figured I saved a couple bucks on the colossus, so it should even out.

Havn't opened them yet, but just on first impressions they are great, and Archangel is by far the best use of the Black Spidey body so far.

I'll be sitting it out on any future hunts till full reports of them hitting Wal-Marts come in.

Also still no sign of the Target exclusives.

Dag nabbit, I already have a couple of Krogers stores in my toyrun rotation, they were the only place I found Warpath so that everybody is finding these and my Kroger brands have nothing is bringing me down.

In other news Toys R US has those army builder packs on sale for like eleven dollars so I now own four of them even though I was luke warm on them to begin with.

Yeah, my TRU had a similar sale on the 3 packs. I didn't notice any this time, so maybe someone bought em all. Good riddance. I liked a few figures from each set, but they were just way too expensive. Hopefully if they choose to try that again, they give the exclusives to a cheaper retailer like Wal-Mart, or just make them NOT exclusives.

Right now, I just would like to find both waves 8 and 9 in a store soon. And then I hope Hasbro makes the SDCC exclusives available on HTS like last year after the show. Can't wait to see what they have in the works this year.

Really, with regular reuse of bodies, there is no reason at all for Hasbro not to be pumping out this stuff. I'm willing to bet they have figures worked out for even the year after next by now. They should with the limited sculpting involved. After all at the 08 con they had a early working of the Modern Thor in the display with the rest of the early 09 line up.

Holy crap. But hey, if Hasbro wants to make a variant of a figure that big and costly, who's going to stop them?

EDIT: Their comments on the 25th figure confuse me. What did they do that was so special about Electro?

I know! It's a nice variant, but I think I would have preferred something more original or unique. Maybe something very vintage in color. I'm not really sure I could justify buying 2, or even 3 Galactus figs at the pre-determined costs. If the Con one is $60, and the 2 retail versions are $50, you are looking at $160 bucks + Tax! I believe the Carded version is completely the same as the normal retail, so I guess I'll just pass on him......But I'm not very good at doing what I tell myself I'm gonna do. :)

Sometimes they let awesome ideas get out of control. It sucks to want a complete collection and have to drop that much cash to have three giant figures laying around.

And who all has peeped the picks of what may be a Shield flying car?

That would be boss.

Alright....Hasbro pulled the plug and flushed all my fears away...I do believe that next year will probably be the best year so far for the MU line.

Pure sickness going on here! I'd advise you to shuffle through all the photos, just to make sure you don't miss anything. :(

I just hope that waves 8 and 9 don't end up being impossible to find. I'm holding my breath that Wal-mart and stuff are just holding their MU stock back at the moment. I'd be piossed if I miss out on these two waves, as it would make me fear I won't be able to get any of the awesome figs for next year. I've been able to snag everything at retail up till this point without much trouble. I won't be happy if it changes so abruptly.

The Masterworks Sentinel is going to be hot. Talk about your expensive troop builders. But I'm left asking once again what his variant color scheme is supposed to be. I have no idea. At least it looks cool.

The X-Force three-pack is genius and saves me the trouble of hunting down the previous versions... Deadpool certainly doesn't hurt.

Lots of 90s love in these pics! A perfect Cyclops, Gladiator, even Apocalypse. I kinda want to see him get the next Masterworks slot.

Spider-Woman is HOT but I don't like those obtrusive clips on her arms for the webbing. It'd be hard to do no matter what, but they're so obvious. Eh.

Yeah, lots of great stuff getting shown for Marvel now. Glad Hasbro put some effort into showing something this year at SDCC!

What sucks, is the MU and Legends collectors will be competing with each other to get those sentinels. Both collector bases will be fighting to army build the bloody bots. So I can only hope the Masterworks don't end up being exclusives, and if they are, I hope they are Wal-Mart. I have more of those around here than anything else. I'd be very mad if they went to TRU, I only have the one.

I think it sucks that the sentinel variant is supposed to be a con exclusive. At least that's what I read somewhere. I'd rather be wrong. I'd like to get 2 of the classic colors and one of the purple.

I was shocked to see Gladiator in there! I hope we get some more characters like him this next year. And yeah, the clipped on webs were a bit ridiculous for Spider-Woman. They could have strung them through the elbow pegs or something. They shouldn't even be plastic in my opinion.

I've heard reports of both wave 8 (target) and even wave nine (Toys r' Us) coming out but so far I've seen zilch.

I hope it doesn't turn into the same type of hunt Jean Grey and Warpath was. The only reason I was able to find a Jean Grey is I hit a Wal-Mart right after they stocked. Its the only one I've seen at retail.

Loki it the first figure off of my latest top ten list to be made. Is there going to be a Loki variant. I'd like more than one Frost Giant but don't need two or three Lokis'.

One pont Blue team I have a running contest to see if Blue or Gold will be made first. If you don't count Jubilee I think even though Blue is behind they might win.

Yeah, nothing on my side either. Usually as soon as you find them, it seems they pop up in my area around the same time. I checked a few times this weekend, but nothing.

I'm almost certain we will get a few more Loki figs. I'm betting on a future comic pack with him, as well as an inevitable single carded figure with a cape and stuff. Possibly before or after the Thor series hits big.

Doesn't the gold team have 4 to Blues two so far?

Depends on if you count Gambit from the Wolverine line. I do so I have Wolverine, Gambit, and now Cyclops.
For the Gold there is Colossus, Jean Grey, Archangel, and Iceman.

The fun comes in trying to guess if we will get a third version of Storm and a Bishop before Beast, Psylocke, and Rouge (all with Jim Lee era appropriate looks).

I just can't see them waiting two long with Beast and Rogue, and Psylocke is so basic it woudn't be that difficult to get this version out. However with only one female figure per wave. It will probably take some box sets anyway or we'll be waiting quite awhile for them.

Yeah, I don't count that catastrophe Gambit myself. :( And I'm more than confident we will get one for MU. He is too popular not to.

I actually think Psylocke should get a unique body type. I mean a standard model for your typical heroins are fine, but she was always sharper in appearance. Dunno. You would think if they can do more unique male bodies, they would be able to do more unique fems.

Oh, and King Hulk is sick.. just wanted to say that.

I am holding out for a Mr. Sinister figure ... I love a lot of Marvel characters, but he is my favorite. It does get kind of old when there are three original figures and then 5 variations of Wolverine. I like him a lot, but that's crazy after awhile. That's like the 6 versions of Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes for the last GI Joe series.

Agreed, we had to wait two whole years of the same female body before they announced alright we are working on the x-23 body. Imagine if every male we got was on the Human Torch/Silver Surfer body. This line would have tanked. Still Psylocke doesn't need a unique body type she can share a body with all sorts of female ninja badasse. Like Elektra, Colleen Wing, Madam Viper, who knows. Mystique should have had a diffrent body.

Also gimme gimme a larger body for She-Hulk types. It will be a slow burn but I think you could get your money back. I can think of seven or so figures you could get out of it if you get creative.

Oh yeah, that's really what I meant about Psylocke. Not that she totally keep the body to herself. There are definitely others who could share it. But that's just me wishing. Hasbro won't spend more than they need too. And yeah, this line would have sucked if they pulled a DCUC on us. They gave us plenty of variety in the first wave, so there was enough potential to widen out. Also I think Mystique should have a different body. I hate that they shafted her with the old one. Shame on you Hasbro. :D

People have really been annoyed with the female problem so far, there is really no reason they shouldn't have done something new already. She-Hulk will be awesome I'm sure. There are a nice handful of ladies that could use her body, and plenty of She-Hulk variants they could do as well. I loves me some SH, so bring on as many as you want. :(

Oh, and Wrath, a Mr. Sinister will be sick. With Apocalypse showing up next year, I'm hoping we will see him sooner than later. Definitely one of the top X villains ever. I'd also like to see him in his AOA style. Hoping Hasbro gives us some sweet box sets like they did with Legends, for HOM, AOA, Zombies, etc. Plenty of great stuff that would sell well as exclusives.

Damn Straight, LOL! My three top villains are Mr. Sinister, Apocalypse, and Galactus (Toss in Thanos for good measure). I was stoked when I saw the Thanos, Galactus, and Apocalypse figures ... I can't wait to have those guys in my hand. And AOA had some awesome takes on favorite characters ... For instance, I am now a fan of Blink, don't know why, but she's great.

This past Saturday I found wave 8 at Target of all places!!! I picked up only Collossus and Juggernaut cuz I had spent aplenty earlier in the day on toys and the wifey was sith me -_- . So I had to pass on Havoc, Kitty Pryde, AIM soldier, and Angel. Angel looked to be a variant. He had a skull head and no wings. Anyone know what that's all about? I was sure it was a super rare variant only because I passed on it. I wasn't really that impressed with that version anyway though. Of course, had I known about any scarcity or other value associated with it, I would have bought it. Collossus and Juggy are superb figs. Tons of detail and attitude with these 2. I have only gotten Colossus out of packaging so far. This one has really loose joints. Especially at the torso, hips, and knees. I just loove his look. Very badazz!! Juggy appear to be a very near perfect fig from the outside. Articulation points appear well positioned. Of course, final judgement rests with actual posing of the specimen. Anyway, start looking for these.

That's the Horsemen of Apocalypse version of Archangel in his Death Mask. His wings are compacted on that version. As in the comics he could shrink his wings down on his back.

Sucks, seems like everyone is finding these guys right now. I should probably be checking again in a few days. Down here alot stores opt to reset and restock on Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings due to the blue laws.
