Underwater Fight. The Deadly Match within the Thames River

Witnessing the match, the crowd started to dispersing when they found out that the Akuma Choujins were never acting as the support for the Seigi Choujin. Commenting that the Thames River prided by children of London has been tainted by the blood of these battle-loving choujins, a man called out to his child, Paul, to head home. Much to his surprise, however, was that his child refused to go.

Underwater, Marlinman attempted to put more power to his thrust, but Atlantis told him it was useless.

"For a superman wrestler, a scar will surely become a weak point. It will certainly be the spot aimed at in matches. And that's why, for the whole 7 years, I have been training and training on this scar with the help from my comrade!" - Atlantis

"And soon, from an easily-cut skin, it has turned into one like solid rock..., and finally to the hardness of steel." - Atlantis

"With that, my weak point has become my strong point! Even with this pointy spear of yours, you will not be able to pierce my throat!" - Atlantis

Atlantis sent Marlinman flying. The latter charged towards him, only with Atlantis countering with a Neck-cutting Drop Kick.

However, Atlantis was weakened from Marlinman's attacks earlier, and knelt. Seizing the opportunity, Marlinman recovered and once again charged at Atlantis from behind. But this time, Atlantis has yet to notice the peril.

"Dodge it, Atlantis!" - Paul

Paul's voice somehow reached Atlantis, allowing him to evade the incoming attack. He got Marlinman in a double-arm suplex...

"Pyo, we might be the same underwater choujins, but it seems like I have the advantage underwater with this perfect body of mine!" - Marlinman

Marlinman used Fin Saw to escape the double-arm suplex.

"Pyo pyoï¼￾I've heard that you demons wanted to purge us all! But it seems all of you will fall before our might!" - Marlinman

"I told you I won't be bothered by that! By the request of the Great One, we will exterminate you all!" - Atlantis

Atlantis broke free from Marlinman and got him in an Atlantis Driver.

"Too bad for you, Atlantis, but this "Great One" you highly praised of might just be a gullible demon with poor judgement!" - Marlinman

Marlinman turned his nose into a spiral with Flying Sword Spiral, and countered Atlantis Driver. Spinning himself, he threw Atlantis and landed him down with Pirahnian Shot.

"Go pay your due to that "Great One" when you are in that world!" - Marlinman

With Perfect Sting - Spear Fencing", Marlinman then pierced Atlantis from behind...

Aww, I hope Atlantis is not dead just yet. I want to know more about that certain panel. And with a boy supporting him, Atlantis is becoming more and more of an anti-hero of sort.

Note: Apparently, they are slowing things down, so next chapter will only be up by 21st May.

Or put them in a fruit-booty outfit, like Warsman...

They kind of stuck a you know what in the ear of my two favorites.

I'm assuming that the fight isn't QUITE over yet, following the Black Hole pattern. It might end in a double-KO, or in Marlinman winning, or in Atlantis winning. But things that Atlantis could do:

-Break off Marlinman's nose now that it's trapped in his body

-Out-tech Marlinman, having taken the hit on purpose to leave Marlin open to a countermove

-Reveal some new heretofore unknown technique

-Find new strength because that little kid believes in him.

-Find new strength because Marlinman insults Robin Mask again.

-Reveal something he did previously in the match that will turn it into an advantage

-Take advantage of the blood in the water to call up the ghosts of Stecasse and Khamen


Now, are any of these guaranteed to happen? Naw, but all of them are plausible.

So the Atlantis Driver was Countered and he was speared in the back.... That's good, because now he'll have a reversal and a neo-atlantis Driver next week!!.... Maybe.

Im kinda digging Atlantis having support from that kid. Everyone stopped supporting the Devil's just because they're villains, but the kid is cheering for Atlantis based on his own merits and appeal. Or maybe it's just because it's a kid and he thinks Atlantis is cool...

Here are the images. I really hope Atlantis wins, or the fight will be a draw. At first, I really hated Atlantis because he killed my 2nd favorite character "Robin Mask" in a cowardly way, but when that boy's (Is his name Pole? I am not sure) voice reached Atlantis telling him to dodge the attack, I now have a sense of respect towards Atlantis. Besides, Atlantis has not even shown off any new techniques yet. But I hope that bastard Springman dies, that son of a bee-eye-itch killed my 6th favorite character "Wolfman". And I don't understand why he is even alive in Kinnikuman Nisei.

Reading back, something tells me that the match is far from over. Not when we are yet to be told why Paul will support Atlantis, the villain who has killed the champion of his country once. Perhaps the child knew something others have no idea of regarding the sea devil? Like, not even Warsman got any support back in his time as the bad guy. Poor Warsman...

With most of his moves sealed, things seem to be grim for Atlantis. However, judging from the situation he is in (Which resembles being caught in a Tower Bridge, the technique that forces him to cheat), he might have a counter up his sleeves for that. And we have yet to see whether if St Helens Eruption works in underwater.

Another thought - in every match so far where a Perfect won, it always looked like the other guy did some real damage to him first (Turboman was riddled with holes and tears, Crushman was bitten up pretty well). In every fight where a Perfect lost, they may have traded blows, but the Perfect wasn't bruised or bleeding until the end when everything started to go wrong for them (When Terry destroyed one tire or when Black Hole caught Dalmation with his knee).

Marlinman does not look visibly damaged yet.

I am standing by my theory, that Peekaboo will wind up being something more menacing, just in disguise.

And here I was hoping that as Atlantis would attempt his Atlantis Driver, Marlinman would elongate his nose-spear and pierce Atlantis' head through his mouth, causing Atlantis to effectively decapitate himself by the Driver's impact. Then Marlinman would swim up to the surface, carrying Atlantis' head on his spear similar to how Atlantis held Robin Mask's mask aloft after their bout.

Seeing as Atlantis now has a young fan, reminisces about Robin and has apparently already taken Marlinman's finisher (Spear Fencing), the best I can hope for as a Marlinman fan is probably a draw.

I didnt notice it before, but Atlantis did the same flying kick attack to the throat that Robin Mask did.

Another thought: How far is this plot going to go past Budo and his Perfect Large Numbers? We have a few inklings that the Devils will start being problematic, and we also have not heard a peep from other "good" Perfects, such as Neptuneman. Is Budo really going to be the ultimate villain here, or will he only serve as a catalyst for real troubles?

Looking at past events that involved Groups like The 7 devils, the 6 Devil Knights, The 5 Princes, the 6 Demon Seeds, They would involve a bigger bad guy if they stated it from the beginning, like when the Knights and the Demon Seeds wanted to bring back Akuma Shogun. But this time Shogun's sent the Devils to beat the numbers. So unless there's a big bad perfect Chojin that even Budo bows too, I don't know. Heck, Budo might get superpowered like Phoenix did with the 5 gods.

He could be taken out soon, paving the way for the Devils, or it could work into a big crossover fight against a proto-dMp.

I thought this arc was building to the formation of the dMp. Oh, and dont forget Budo had a bunch of cloaked Perfects with him in addition to the big numbers who are fighting now.

Neptuneman will probably show up later, possibly with his own Perfects. He had his own Perfects in the Time Chojin arc, but he killed two of them when they told him they sent some of them to attack the Time Chojin before the match, which Neptune saw as dishonorable. Thunder & Lightning made short work of the assassins.
