Note: Apparently, they are slowing things down, so next chapter will only be up by 21st May.

Wait... the 21st!?

My thoughts exactly.

Shimada tweeted last night that the delay is due to the fact that they are putting the finishing touches on Kinnikuman vol 39. The release date is 6/4, and they need to get everything off to the printers this week. The series will return to its weekly cadence in a week or two.

Apparently they go back and fix/update some of the artwork/dialogue in some of the panels to spice things up a little for the print releases.

It is pretty tight. When I was at their studio last fall, they were just putting the finishing touches on a chapter that appeared the next week.

Once Shimada completes a chapter, he sends the story over to Nakai. Nakai-sensei says it takes about an entire week of eight people working long hours to complete approximately 20 pages of Kinnikuman...

I'm starting to think that's it for Atlantis. I was observing Ste-Casse King and Mister Khamen's fights, and I am just starting to lose hope. I know that Atlantis did not show any new moves, all he did was just show off a "strongpoint" and just copied one of Robin Mask's moves. Atlantis won't be able to do that thing when he summons the ghosts of the Akuma Choujin who died in battle because Ste-Casse King and Mister Khamen are not dead, they are just severely injured/KO'd (and we definitely know that we won't be seeing them fight again any time soon).

And check this thing out that I found on the internet.

Yup, if that isn't an anti-hero, I don't know what is.

Now we're down to 2 more matches.

Edit: Also it seems like yudetamago has implied how to refer to the Perfect Choujin team. The katakana spells out as "Perfect Large Number".

Given that each new Kinnikuman issue is released on 11:00 pm Sunday on my timezone, I might not be able to work on it in time. So please wait patiently, folks.

COmic isn't loaded yet, so I can't see it - but the description looks like Atlantis died before he could finish off marlinman, so it's more like Buffaloman vs. Warsman.

(EDIT) never mind, just read it and saw the last panel. Wow, what a finish!!!!

I'm assuming that the fight isn't QUITE over yet, following the Black Hole pattern. It might end in a double-KO, or in Marlinman winning, or in Atlantis winning. But things that Atlantis could do:

-Break off Marlinman's nose now that it's trapped in his body

-Out-tech Marlinman, having taken the hit on purpose to leave Marlin open to a countermove

-Reveal some new heretofore unknown technique

-Find new strength because that little kid believes in him.

-Find new strength because Marlinman insults Robin Mask again.

-Reveal something he did previously in the match that will turn it into an advantage

-Take advantage of the blood in the water to call up the ghosts of Stecasse and Khamen

Now, are any of these guaranteed to happen? Naw, but all of them are plausible.

And the winner was...

NONE< but kind of a combo between:

-Find new strength because that little kid believes in him.

-Find new strength because Marlinman insults Robin Mask again.

And to everyone who thinks it's not over. This image shows the fight card with the Triangle on both names. It's a draw, end of story. It's happened before with Barrierfreeman and The Tattooman.

Got the Images... This made me shed a tear. So this is how far we are in the series:
1. Terryman (Win) VS. Max Radial (KO'd, then committed suicide by using Strong the Budo's Shinai)
2. Ste-Casse King (KO'd) VS. Turboman (Win)
3. Mister Khamen (KO'd) VS. Crushman (Win)
4. Black Hole (Win) VS. Dalmatianman (Dead)
5. Atlantis VS. Marlinman (Double KO, Both Dead)

I wonder who Ramenman and Robin Mask are going to fight?... Wait, I think I know what's going to happen, I think that we will be seeing the Shiaikousha Combo 試å￾ˆå·§è€…コンビ (ã￾—ã￾‚ã￾„ã￾“ã￾†ã￾—ゃコンビ). I really want that Tag Team to happen, Ramenman and Robin Mask are my favorite 2 Choujins. I already thought of a Tag Team Move a year ago, I call it the "Mighty Javelin Crash - 強大æ§￾å • (マイティ·ジャベリンクラッシュ)". It's basically a "Gauronsen Drop" and "Robin Special" docking/combined together. I made an image of it using Kinnikuman Muscle Fight sprites, but I actually printed the sprites out, cut them out, and paste it on a white sheet of paper... and I don't know how I can scan it.

The Marlinman vs. Atlantis fight was fantastic, and (so far) the best fight in the new series. The increased focus on technical wrestling through basic grapples, reversals, and slams (as opposed to special attacks) gave it a different pacing from the other fights, making the two fighters seem more genuinely "even" throughout. The dialogue also worked well, and especially portrayed Marlinman as a fully-realized character in his brief appearance. The scenes with the crowd and the little boy Paul were also inspiring, helping to give Atlantis an antihero factor. I especially enjoyed the references to Robin Mask and Atlantis's respect for him, and how it influenced the outcome of the fight. The final chapter was just as dramatic and exciting as many of the great fights in the original series! I especially loved how it referenced the ending to Atlantis and Robin Masks's duel not once, but twice, and even called back a little to Wars Man's fight with Buffaloman. This was the best match yet, and fully worth the extra wait time.

Another nice detail that foreshadowed the end - Marlinman escaped Atlantis's holds by using his razor-sharp fins or similar abilities. Atlantis escaped Marlinman's holds by using superior wrestling strategy and technique. And that was just how the fight ended - Marlinman's gimmicks were enough to impale Atlantis twice and ultimately kill him, but Atlantis still had the edge on technique, and used what he had to finish off Marlinman in the Tower Bridge.

Im a little dissapointed that the Devils are only really going to "win" a single match here. Ther eis no way Mountain is beating Budo. I have a feeling there is going to be a tag-match to deal with the surviving Perfects. Then there are the cloaked/disguised perfects that have not been revealed yet. I wonder where they are btw... having tea?

I don't understand why this ended up as a tie? Atlantis killed Marlinman before he died from his injuries.

It's just like Ramenman's fight with Prisman, Ramenman killed him, but I don't understand why it ended up as a tie. This is supposed to be a fight to the death, whoever survives/lives is the winner. Whoever dies first is the loser.

It's technically not a "Tie", but since Atlantis can't compete further in the tournament, due to a slight case of dying, for all practical purposes, it serves as a tie.
Both opponents not being able to continue kind of holds an absolute value.
