Target is supposed to have a toy reset before Aug. 1st but so far no luck here I haven't checked since Saturday.

Also phantomeye, don't worry about passing on the Death Archangel, he is a variant but apparently the version that everybody is finding, all the targets seem to be getting them.

You may want to check your Targets mrjay! I couldn't stand it, and checked this evening. Sure enough, Fresh wave 8 stock at both of my stores. I saw the guy with a cart of empty boxes just walking away from the toy aisle at one. So I got fresh unpicked dibs on them. :)

I'm a happy camper. Got me Juggs, Kitty, Havok variant, Angel variant, and 2 Aim soldiers cause they looked cool! :D Now all I need is the regular Havok, and I'll be up on W8. Now I just need to wait for 9 to pop up. I have a feeling Wal-mart will be getting these in soon. There have been reports of them being at TRU, and usually what hits retail at TRU hits at Wal-Mart or visa versa.

Just got back from a toy check, one target had the schematics set and the other had nothing. I'm going to check back later this week at the one they should have some fresh stock out tonight or tomorrow. The other target is lucky it's next to the only toys r us in town or I might stop going there at all.

Were the battle packs out as well?

Nope, I havn't even heard any rumors of them being found yet. I'm thinking middle of next month we may see em. I really want that Punisher and Panther, and although I'll probably still buy them cause I'm a loser, I'd really like to see what the big deal with the Spidey/Goblin Wolv/ninja packs are.

Wow, I've still only seen wave 7 once and here people are starting to see wave 8 left and right. Lame!

I was wondering because I saw a shelf tag for them. Stoked for Black Panther, on the fence about Punisher (I want Punisher but don't want another Iron Man), am sure I'm going to pass on S-M and Gobby (unless I see them on sale), and like you am curious about Wolvering and Hand Ninja.

Stay strong lhssenior, one of these days we'll find these figures.

Wave seven only once lame, I know the local Wal-Marts all got one case, then Toys R Us has stocked Wave 7 at least three times, at least the Luke Cages and Extremis Iron Mans keep popping up.

Yeah, 7 hit pretty solid in my area, and like your TRU, there was plenty of stock after a while. In fact something weird happened one week. Out of the blue there were like 10 extremis IM figs on one peg. Like someone returned a box load of them at once. Same thing happened at one of my wal-marts with Star Wars figs. So I think it was the same guy. Just but loads of the same droids and jawas were on the pegs out of the blue. :) Guess he decided army building wasn't a great idea.

I stopped in at Target today. I saw the price tag for the battle packs on the shelf this time, but none were out. Reckon they havn't stocked them yet. Stopped at another on the way home, and didn't even see a tag, but there were MU all over the place! Like a hurricane swept them everywhere. B) They were on random pegs, lying under stuff, hidden behind other toys. Tons of Wave 7 and 8 strung about. Even more than last time I was there. No juggernauts or angels were left. I tried sifting everywhere so as not to miss anything, and the very last peg had the Normal Havok I needed hiding behind another figure. So I'm caught up on all the Wave 8 stuff. Now just need to wait for 9 to hit, and try to find them battlepacks. I guess I need to keep an eye out for that Wave 6 Wolverine variant as well though.

I've heard reports of a restock case that just has Juggs and the new Wolverine, that must be what my Targets finally got, and of course Juggs was long gone by the time I rolled in on Sat. night. On the plus side Battle packs are in full effect here in Boise. I didn't want to spend to much so I picked up Black Panther at one and when the second Target didn't have any new stuff for me threw down for a new Punisher.

I'll probably get the other two as well if H.A.M.M.E.R. series doesn't start popping up in full effect. Thats the danger of only collecting one line, and the occasional cherry pick from a couple others, you need your toy fix.

Nice score on wave 8 URS.

I found the battle packs today. Got a mix feeling about them.

They are almost gross to look at.
Goblin's metallic paint is just weird to me. I'd have preferred a vintage color scheme if anything.
Punisher looks like someone farted and he is upset about it. So aside from the nifty reuse of the Shield body, the Wave 3 Punisher still has the best head sculpt to me.
Wolverine is pretty cool, but the paint was sloppy. Glad they gave him actual shoulder pads this time instead of just painting them on the shoulders.
Iron man sucks. Looks like he ate too much taffy or something.
Panther is alright, but I don't like the little cape, it's too thick, and sits too high on his shoulders I think. A cloth cape would have been better with a gold chain or something.

Pretty cruddy all around, not worth the $12.99 each in my opinion. The Wolverine/Hand Ninja pack is probably the most justifiable to me. New Wolvie head sculpt, and a black Ninja is pretty sweet.

I've found cosmic Havok, short haired Winter Soldier, and Juggernaut this week. Don't worry I haven't been able to pull the trigger on Spider-Man Green Goblin or even Wolvie/Hand Ninja yet. I prefer my Wolverines short. I was disappointed that Black Panther wasn't truer to the modern version but I really like T'challa. Punisher was just different enough to justify the purchase and I'm not sure I had that version of of Iron Man armor yet I thought I did but couldn't find it.

Where did you spot Winter Soldier? Target?

The Punisher was nice, but that head just was sloppy. The proto looked alot better than the final product... sadly that's too often the case on action figures.

Winter Soldier was at Toys R Us, they've skipped straight to wave 9. Boises' has already stocked twice. I just got back with an Iron Patriot and Skrull.
Still haven't seen The Wrecker.

Also the local K-Mart is doing a toy reset and I couldn't find Marvel Universe tags. You might have made some money on the line if you had ever stocked them K-Mart.

Hmm.. Now I'm worried Walmart will never get wave 9. And if that happens, I'll never get them. There are a slew of scalpers/collectors that know the exact stocking times somehow, and everything new that hits there is picked over with a fine tooth comb.

K-mart has been hit and miss. I know they got wave 1, and a few got some wave 3. And I believe they got a revision case once. Never seen anything else there.

Keeping checking Targets even if you've got all of wave 8, that is if you want more Dark Avengers, a dark phoenix, and a bit of a cartoony looking Cyclops. Thats right new two packs have arrived.

Sadly the Dark Phoenix packs had been picked through and I had to settle for one with less than stellar paint apps. but I got some slick looking Dark Avengers. Thank goodness because Iron Patriot isn't my favorite figure but with a few of his stooges backing him up it's game time.

Found the new 2 packs today at my local Wal-Mart! :woot: They look great! The phoenix head might even look good on my Jean Grey. I'll have to try that to see how it looks.

One weird thing though. The comic for the Phoenix pack is different from the one featured on the back of the card.

Also my Dark Wolverine's left hand has a clean slice off the bottom. so you couldn't see it from in the package. part of the inner claw and fist are completely gone. Happened after it was painted too, cause all you see is flesh plastic. Weird.

There is a phasing variant Vision up for auction on Ebay. It is out of China. No packaging and no anything other than the figure itself. Can't be sure if it's a bootleg or prototype or new production demo. My hope is that it signals impending mass production of this particular character.

Probably the same guy who has been selling the test shots, and unpainted shots from the factory this year. It's kind of annoying. Phasing Vision is probably going to be packed with a later wave this year. I'm willing to bet wave 11.

Speaking of which was shown in packaging earlier this week. http://marvelousnews...23&itemid=13432

This is more like the Marvel Universe I'm used to. Found the rest of wave 9 today at toys r us (minus long haired Winter Soldier and unmasked Iron Patriot). Still need an Archangel, Kitty Pryde, Aim Soldier and Classic Havok thanks to Target not restocking and Wal Mart deciding that as long as all four pegs have one figure on them they don't need to put out the new product :). Due to Toys R Us in Boise being awesome I may get wave ten before I find all the Wave 8 figures I need.

Crap, my TRU sucks so, It's likely I will rarely find what I need there, but I did run into fresh wave 8 stock there last weekend. I'm about to get ready and hit the stores again, so I'll see what I find. I'm hoping target will surprise me, but I'm also hoping TRU will again as well. :ulp: I'm hopeful, but doubtful as last I was there, the pegs were pretty full of old waves and wave 8 figs still.

No scores today. :ulp: So I just bought some none Universe things at my comic shop (MS Abomination, vintage Walrus Man), and picked up one of those Spirit (Billy) Iron-Knife TRU exclusives from the Joe line.

Sucks, both Targets were full to the brim with the same figures. And the Guy at TRU said they didn't get any MU figs in this mornings shipment. So I'll have to check next week or so.
