I'm not too disappointed. We have seen about 45-50 unique sculpts in the line so far, and this is the first time that we have seen them reuse a sculpt, with the exception of the clear booster figures. That's pretty incredible. Of all the other toy lines that I collect here in the states, like Transformers Bot Shots, Robot Heroes, Super Hero Squad, Mega Bloks, etc... I typically see a rerelease of a sculpt sometimes with each wave. I don't know how many Bumblebees, Snake Eyes repaints, Clone Trooper repaints, etc.... that I have seen. In fact, I think we are a bit spoiled with this line thus far. Already we have seen about 28 unique figures be released in the span of about 3-4 months. And several more unique sculpts are being released over the next couple months. That's incredible.

I expected to see some reused sculpts. A sculpt and mold of a toy is very expensive to make, and if a toy company can make a little extra money reusing the sculpt, then so be it. That's why we had in the seekers in Transformers, so that they could reuse the molds of the toys, and that was in the initial release. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a different color scheme for them. Even if it was just a change in armor color. But as it is, it's just one set that I won't get. The line seems so successful now, having the small vehicles, the anime, expanding out into trading cards, etc... and that we have a lot of character designs that we haven't seen sculpts for (Crab, Octopus, Beaver, Mole, Pig, etc...). I really think we are still going to see a lot of new sculpts out of this line.

Yeah, I don't really have a problem with BS-47. It's just one release I don't have to buy!

I don't mind BS-47 in itself, I just think it sucks that apparently the Sea Tribe doesn't a second original starter like the Land Tribe did with the Tiger, Cat and Panda one. I understand the idea of wanting to rerelease Killer Shark but if they had put one new figure in there I think I would have been crazy enough to buy that starter set even with the repeats. Though I would have also be tempted by a cool new color scheme. I guess Aldyle will have a new weapon?

Also they should re-release Pirazone in a single pack so we can army build 'em!

This I totally agree with! After seeing the third episode of the anime, I would love to army build some Pirazones! Coelcanth I am ok just having one. He's the larger, beefier general of the Killer Carps for me. But Pirazones would be great having at least 5 or so. Maybe if they release them as clears in the boosters...

Or 3-pack army packs. One for the Pirazones and one for the Frogs.

Just got home from work and discovered that my dog thought Coelcanth's left arm might be tasty. Still not sure how he got to the floor from my desk, but I suspect a collaboration between cat and dog was at play.

So, looks like I'll be getting a duplicate Killer Shark and Pirazone whether I like it or not, though I'm also ok with the idea of extra Pirazones :D

Too bad the new starter didn't come with Coelcanth instead, heh.

I'm sorry to hear about this. However, it is exactly the reason why I wouldn't order from another forum member.

I think the biggest reason that I'm irritated with the new 3-pack is the fact that there are figures that were shown months ago that haven't been released yet. I agree that this line has been incredible thus far, with a ton of great figures having been put out. I didn't realize just how many there were until I finally put them all on a shelf together.

I guess I would just like to see all the figures that have been shown released before some get re-released. But that could come from wanting the salmon so badly and not seeing him yet... :)

I had a delayed order due to that postal mixup- he shipped it out with another batch of BS stuff and didn't charge me extra shipping. I have not had issues with him otherwise, though I know he seems to be missing PMs and not reading these threads as of late. If push comes to shove, I have his mailing address. Maybe just give him a little more time.

OMG! That purple one is a Flying Squirrel!! And... it's female?? March can't get here fast enough.

I'm getting one of those card reader cube, just for the odity. It's only the price of a booster so it's fairly cheap.

I kind of wish the flying squirrel was part of the air tribe. Those guys really need to play catch up with everyone else! Pretty cool bunch of figures though. Are these still coming out in March? I thought someone said this case and the wave releasing along with it were pushed to April...

Some of those burst figures look awesome, but can we expect to see every figure in burst form at some point?

Personally, I liked them better when it was limited to select Beasts. At one point I had considered keeping up with owning each burst figure alongside his normal counterpart, but I don't think I'll do it now. Too much for me.

It is a bit weird that the flying squirrel is Land tribe when the bat, also a mammal, was air tribe. Guess it can't really fly so it doesn't count?

Everyone released in single packs and every 'starter leader' got a Burst figure, I don't know why you felt it was 'select beasts, when it's actually much rarer NOT to have a Burst figure for a beast.

I previously preordered two of each of the booster set but since BBTS won't randomize them I only preorder one and then sometime throw a single into a pile of loot. I like to have them but I already have my hands full so I don't want ALL of them.

News about the mysterious BS-44 item. It seems that it will be some kind of collector's case. I don't have any pic yet but I hope to find some soon.

These BS figs realy are one hell of a rollercoaster with on one hand figs that are just to rediculous and don't make sence while on the other hand they come up with some of the most awesome sculpts, making me want to jump on board again. Just bumped into the pic of the 'Manta Ray' (the Grin Reefer of the BS?) which is just an amazing sculpt.

I might be getting my first clear figure(s) with that wave. They look great!

Also bummed that the flying squirrel is on the land tribe. The air tribe needs more figures! But it's great that it does look to be another female figure. We really could use more of them. (S)he looks great though and will probably end up being a favorite of mine.

That duck looks like it could dethrone the golden eagle as my new favorite figure! Also, who is the little red figure with the pointy head? Next to the lion cub and deer? And I too, am bummed about the flying squirrel being land instead of sky tribe.

Ooh! Liking the clear wolf & bull a lot! The steam shovel jipuruto looks sweet! And I think that's the first base I've seen, MINI VEHICLES, just like I wanted! I will wait to get a reader until they decide to release this in the USA.

Maybe because early on there were nearly 40 beasts across the current products, upcoming products and in pics from trade shows and there was only the one burst set with no further sets known?

That was pretty stupid of me to think that though.

You're talking about the guy in the Base/Vehicle? I think that looks like the Beaver/Otter from last weeks episode. Though I may be wrong.

Posted Image

He has the same rounded shoulders, the same jets on his back (like the Walrus) and the same sort of crest, in my opinion anyway

What do you mean by ridiculous and don't make sense?

Man that Ray is fantastic! I really hope the metallic color isn't Takara's usual photoshopery an is the actual colour of the product because that looks really really good.
