Wave 10 in Canada, just got back from FanExpo Canada (Toronto Comic Con) and a ton of the toy vendors had full wave 10 stocked. Funny the Cannucks get wave 10 when 3 hours away in western NY i still haven't seen waves 7-9, other than one Target having a few Colossus and AIM Soldiers. Oh well, the prices were decent (between $10-$15 each with no tax or shipping) so I came home with about a dozen figs from the missing waves :)

They also had the carded Galactic at the Hasbro booth at the Con but they were $85, think I'll just wait for it to hit the stores later in the year as i'm just going to tear it open anyways. So much for it being a SDCC exclusive, and weren't they only $60 there? The Canadian Loony is almost on par with the Dollar now so that can't account for the difference.

All in all I had a pretty good weekend. TRU had 2 Iron Patriots and 3 Iron Spider-mans. Got one of each. Haven't taken ISM out of package yet but he looks to be surprisingly fun. No Skrull soldiers though so that was my only real disappointment. I also found a Terminator Salvation T-1 on clearance for $6.58. I had been fighting moderately on Ebay for one but they were going too high. So I was delighted to settle on a clearance price. My intent is to set it up in Iron Man battle scenes. It's a natural fit for sure. Saw tons on Dark Avengers Spider-man/Wolvie and one set of Dark Phoenix/Cyclops. Already had Spidey/Wolvie and not sure I want Phoenix/Cyclops. On another note, I found 2 Wal-Marts stocked with Handful of Heroes back at the much better price point of $5.96 (TRU is $6.99 I think). I was thrilled to see that and hope my local Wal-Wart follows suit!

I was out of town again this past weekend. I found the Harry Osborn variant Iron Patriot! It is a nice head sculpt with fairly good paint apps. They even included wavy hair rows staying true to the character. That impressed me. I also found a Skrull Soldier! The left eye paint dot is larger than the right but it gives him an intense look. That's the only skrull I saw among 2 TRUs & several Wal-Warts & Targets. I saw a ton of regular Iron Patriots, a few Wreckers, and a lot of Winter Soldiers at TRU only. I haven't laid eyes on a Mary Jane Watson yet. Curious to see how she turned out. I took my Dark Avengers out of the packaging and I love em. Especially dark Spider-Man. Just love the color scheme, sculpting, and body size. The Wolvie Jr has a great head/face sculpt too.

I checked my Wallys and TRU and only found 1 Winter Soldier at the last Walmart I checked. He was the short haired version. So I must have just missed the rest. I asked the guy back there if they had more, and I just got the typical answer of everything is out... which isn't always true. Ah well. I have a feeling my nearest one will have them within the week, so I'll be checking there. But they havn't gotten any new singles since wave 6 last November... so I'm hoping it's about time. I usually get first dibs on any new figs that get stocked at that store.

Yeah, sounds like your area is ripe for restock, URS. Keep a look out for Iron-Man updates too. My local Target just got the latest with Hulkbuster, Classic Iron Monger, and some others too.

Anyone been finding anything new lately?

I got up early and dropped by my TRU this morning. I found the Marvel Month Cube, but the only figures in it I needed were Captain Britain and Wolverine(w10). I was disappointed. Last week I even noticed they had the price tag on the shelf for Galactus, but he wasn't there, and today something different was there and his tag still was on the shelf. So that sucked, But I decided to keep looking around before I just took off.

Sure enough an entire shelf space away from the other pegged MU figs was a couple lone pegs with nothing but wave 9 figs on it. Say What! So I finished rounding out my needs for 9. Just need the few variants now. Then as I'm walking out, I spot a glance of something out the corner of my eye! You know how sometimes something is so big, that you don't notice it even when it's in front of you? Yep, The Devourer of Worlds was sitting right there the whole time! :D So double score!

So I left TRU pretty satisfied for once in my life. :D I did decide to make one last stop at Wal-mart before heading home. Of course it was one of the wally worlds that hasn't had new MU stock since Wave 5 last year. And low and behold! More Wave10! Ghost Rider was staring me right in the face! YES!! Been wanting this guy since those little cruddy images of him popped up on line. So I was able to finish out my Wave10 needs as well today! Probably one of the biggest score days I've had.

Okay, just had to rant on how cool of a trip I had this morning. :D

Still looking for my Ghost Rider,he is the last one I need to complete wave 10, problem is I still haven't seen half of wave 8. I've got my Juggernaut, Colossus, and modern Havok but the rest (including variants) are still MIA. The good news is I will probably pick up a Galactus later this week.

Does anybody know if the Spider-Man line Carnage is out yet. Possibly on the TRU cube. The line isn't worth digging though because of how depressing the articulation is but I do pick out the occasional villian.

I didn't look at them. But I havn't seen any carnage figs when just paroozing. Have seen Rhino a few times, but the lack of articulation kills an otherwise awesome figure. I hope Marvel Select releases a Rhino one day.

My only problem with galactus right now is that he doesn't fit in any of my display cases. He is a whole head too tall for my MU display. On another interesting note, his chest plate and skirt are separate pieces... Soooo I'm hoping Hasbro's Marvel team is planning on doing a few Celestials with the Galactus base body.... That would be soooo sick! They could do a Celestial every 4 months packed with one or two eternals.

Either Way Galactus is a Customizers dream, and if any of those top notch guys get a hold of more than one, I can imagine seeing a few Celestial customs pop up on the net.

Also, are there any big name Marvel characters aside from Ghost Rider and Red Skull who have skulls for heads? Cause an interesting point on Ghost Rider is his flame is a separate piece from the head. So it's glued on like hair. He is for sure my new favorite figure. I loved the body on the AIM soldiers, but Johnny Blaze looks perfect to his classic costume and everything! I'm also glad they used the Thunderball Body for Britain. He is my new favorite big bodied figure. I wouldn't mind them doing a maskless variant either, cause he did go around alot without it in the Excalibur comics. Hope we also get a Lion variant of him too.

The only other Skull figure I can think of off the top of my head is The Blazing Skull (I think that is his name) of the New Invaders. Not a big name but I always thought he looked really cool.

Did you find a Weapon X whose face didn't look like a dollar store Freddy Krueger toy?

I'm not sure Celestials are marketable enough for Hasbro but man would that be cool.

Oh yeah! I'd love a Blazing Skull for my Invaders. He's actually been around for a long time, but I think he has a new costume or something. I like the classic one with the blackish red suit with crossbones on his chest. That would actually be perfect reuse of the GR head.

Well, I'd be disappointed, but I think at they very least they could market the celestials through con exclusives or online exclusives.

Does anyone have a side by side comparison photo of MU Galactus vs BAF Galactus from Legends? I'm interested in picking up the new Masterworks version but was wondering how it compares to the Legends version as I don't really see the need to have two similar Galactus figures in the collection so I'm wondering it it might be better to sit this purchase out? Both seem to be roughly the same scale right?

That is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks so much mate! I didn't realize there was such a difference in height and mass between the two, that made the decision of which to get MUCH easier for me! ;)

I actually wish they would have given MU Galactus a more classic head sculpt like the Legends version. It would make it more justifiable for the future purchase of the UA repaint to have had this head sculpt exclusively.

I actually much prefer the Legends' head for sure. Always thought of buying a Legend Big G.

Just picked up Ghostrider at a comic shop in Indianapolis!!! Definitely a killer figure! Love the facial (albeit subtle) paint apps.

Finally I'm seeing wave 8 at other retailers besides Target. Toys R Us had an AIM soldier and Shop-Ko had a Kitty Pryde. As a bonus I didn't have to feel like a tool buying a MU at Shop-Ko for $12 bucks because they dropped the prices to 8.09. Also Wal-Mart only charged me 2.00 for a Skrull Soldier.

I've decided to hedge my bets with the classic Havok variant. I know it's not rare but sometimes they don't ship certain things to my area. Like the Giant Man variant. If your stores are overflowing with Classic Havok pm me.

I was very disappointed with classic Havok. The crest isn't efficiently attached to his head. It took me some slight heat manipulation to bend it just so it would hold up straight. Otherwise it would just fall over to the side of his head.

I actually prefer his modern uniform better. Which isn't like me.

I wouldn't worry about it but my first X-Men were the Outback Era. So I'll be needing a classic Havok to be completing that team.

Crap! Folks are already finding wave 11 at retail. I just caught up, and still havn't found the w9 variants or the w8 wolverine.

I'll probably go hunting in the next day or so, and I'll snag you a havok if I see one.

Didn't find anything. Say why is Colossus such a peg warmer right now? One Target had 8 on one peg. Just as many left as Extremis IM. He is by far one of the best MU figs to date.

New pics from NYCC up on Marvelousnews.com

So far I'm loving that Cable! And I'm a little dissapointed in Apocalypse. Sentinel is using the Galactus body. I hadn't noticed that before.

Is this some sort of Messiah Complex Cable. I think the figure looks sharp but the baby (Hope?) has got to go. Sort of creeps me out and I bet it is going to be a pain in the butt to find one that looks good.

Apocalypse looks a bit forced into that body. I'd rather wait until they have a mold that yells "this is apocalypse"

Captain Americas line is looking good but no variety and to many gimmiks. Come on Hasbro these are the only figures I'm going to see for a couple of months and there is a good chance that they are just going to hang around. I wish the MU version of Winter soldier had some with a sniper rifle. I bought a G.I. Joe just to get the weapon.

I will be waiting for a good sale on most CA and passing on Thor, unless I decide I need one of those heads for a custom but I'm not into any of the Movie figures I want comic series.

Yeah, It seems the figure is designed specifically from the beginning of Cable Volume 2. http://marvel.wikia.com/Cable_Vol_2_1

I don't mind the Baby, But it will be intolerable if it isn't removable. I think a sort of pouch in the front with a whole baby would have made more sense. I mean a whole baby would give Mary Jane something to do on my shelf. ;)

I also agree with you on Apocalypse. He does seem forced into the body, A-Man deserves a unique sculpt, as we all know he would sell like Peanuts at an Elephant Party. This one, I'm not so sure about. Maybe they will give us a Masterworks two pack with a Large scale Apocalypse and a standard scale both in a more classic style. That would be sweet.

I'm not liking Thor or CA right now. The Thor movie figs look good, but they aren't my cup of tea. The Cap figs just look whack. Crossbones and Winter soldier look tops though. I have a feeling WS will be out of scale with MU, sad that he looks so much better than the MU version. And with so many Caps littering my MU shelves right now, I'm not looking to buy more. Comic figs are what we want. And hopefully they deliver.

I'm already hoping to get the rest of the CS IMII figs, and I hope that line continues just for that reason.

I feel like Apocalypse should get a pass from me because I see the problems they must of had but I like him to much to settle.

You aren't feeling Parachute Cap. That may end up my most played with toy I own. I used to love those things.
