The reason Budo is acting different is because he didnt really have a personality when he appeared in the tag arc, and Yude is making up for that by defining him more. Same for the Devils. This whole arc seems about giving the old characters more background and personality. Black Hole was a fan favorite, so he returned, won a match and is joining Buffaloman and Springman for more screentime.
Thing about Big the Budo, was that he was a major hypocrite. And, not that this means anything in the Yude-iverse, but he was kinda dead and zombified the last time we saw his face.
I have a feeling he's got his youth back by absorbing the energy from other Chojin and turning them back into humans.
I assumed Big Body was about as tough as Mariposa, it's just that Super Phoenix was SO MUCH STRONGER.
Actually the real reason was because Yude wanted to hurry the plot along because the Phoenix/Big Body team fight didnt involve any Justice Chojin.
Plus he lost the match, so he should have killed himself if he somehow survived the Muscle Docking (and as I recall he didn't). Plus, he cheated on the fight, so he should have been punished just like Neptuneman, or a death sentence like they are trying now with Peek for not killing himself and not following the rules. This Budo is all about Da Rules
I vaguely remember the Chojin Gods plotting against Kinnikuman having King Neptune in chains while they were plotting.
