Finally got my Sofubi Eagle/Tiger/Panda/Kitty Cat. All look awesome with the exception of the disappointing little kitty. Now I just need my damn Kangaroo.

I just think it's a dumb looking figure, like the hamster.

I like his regal purple armor and his slightly opened clawed fingers. His weapon is pretty cool too.

I think that looks like the Beaver/Otter from last weeks episode.

I'm 99% sure I heard that character scream "BEVA-POWA!" in the anime, so I think this uncertainty can be put to rest. ;)

Also, thanks for the updates lord! As always you manage to find this stuff hours before I do. :D

Loving the way the new burst figures look, but I'm kinda with Coelacanth here in that I'm not sure I want to bother collecting that many duplicate sculpts. Might be different if I were living in Japan and could just pick them up off the shelves, but the importing gets to be a hassle, even with a relative shipping in batches. I figured these would be treated more like chase figures than a full companion set.

I don't know if you guys have ever seen a beaver and a otter but an otter doesn't have giant rodent teeth.

Yeah, the giant teeth on his icon definitely points to beaver.

February wave figures are up. From the looks of it, all 3 will have shiny armor.

What do you mean by ridiculous and don't make sense?

Man that Ray is fantastic! I really hope the metallic color isn't Takara's usual photoshopery an is the actual colour of the product because that looks really really good.

Some of the figs are just there because of the high Kawaii factor so they might trigger some girls to join the game as well. Like the Hamster, Black Panther and a few more. And some are just to much and on the comical side like the duck and the pigeon. But once in a while they come with an awesome release like the Ray that almost makes me reconsider my choice not to go on with them, but in the end I know its just a matter of time before some less interesting figs will show up again. The vehicles also aren't a real plus as their gimick is cool but the scale doesn't make any sense in relation to the real BS figs. So its a bumpy right so far.

Everyone's always hating on poor Gidan; I like him! I admit that I hated the look of him initially but getting the figure in-hand changed my mind immediately. Pigeon I'm OK with because there's something distinctly Japanese about that headband that makes me want to give him a free pass. I completely agree with you however about Leparmint, completely disappointed with that sculpt.

Did you get in for the first wave of these figures or did you decide against buying them before they were released? I know that I was on the fence at first, but I started appreciating the line a lot more after getting them in my hand and having a look at them in person. And of course, unless you happen to be an OCD completionist, you could just buy the figures you like instead of going in for the whole set. :D

I know it's been mentioned by others before somewhere on these forums, but it really feels like there are different concept artist teams working on the different factions sometimes. The goofiest looking Sea Tribe figure is the Whale, and I still think he looks pretty B.A. compared to the leopard ;)

...his icon definitely points to beaver.

I believe that would technically make him a pimp.

So TFW has the official Hasbro Toyfair Press Release on their site. No sign of Beast Saga. They're bringing back B-Daman and that new Beyblade spinoff, Shogun Steel (which is basically Ninjago with ripcord... and LEGO is now doing BeyWheel with minifigures... go figure ><) instead. They better get on that by nex year though.

That's disappointing. I've been waiting on this news and it didn't turn out like I hoped. I get the appeal of importing these and collecting something that's rare, but I would rather just go pick them up one or two at a time when I buy groceries.

I guess there's no hope of a surprise announcement?

Doubt it, Beast Saga seems the kind of thing you want to hype up to retailers and stuff, so you want to tell them they were a success in Japan, they have an animated serie and you will support the brand with marketing. And it's a collectible game with blind packaging and high impulse buy potential.

Or maybe Tomy found a different partner for them, which is off course possible, if not very likely.

I'm okay with this. Sort of glad really. While it may be more expensive to import, at least I don't have to worry about Walmart/Target/TRU distribution problems like I do with Transformers. Even if they were being brought to American stores, I'd probably continue to import them.

Tomy is selling their Tomica line themselves though.

Why bother with any of the retail stores when there's Amazon? They toy departments at any of those stores are pretty much always a joke.

I signed up for a Prime account two years ago and haven't regretted it once. I can even get bags cat litter delivered to my door for free.

Transformers distribution in Canada was TERRIBLE for 2012! Stores were cracking open new cases of Dark of the Moon deluxes all the time and we had wave 1 of PRID in January and then NOTHING for the whole year! We got the Fall of Cybertron stuff in the fall, but we completely missed out on PRID Deluxes! Wave 2,3,4 and 5 never made it to Canada! All we had all year long were pegs after pegs of Bumblebees and Cliffjumpers (DOTM Bee in three different flavor, First Edition Bumblebee, First Edition Cliffjumper and PRID versions of both). TRU ailses are still empty to this day while Wal Mart is getting Beast Hunter stuff.

I wish Amazon would deliver toys to Canada ><

Man the duck is just fantastic! Look at the cool airplane details! And the aviator cap and goggle combo :D

Morgan doesn't look as female now that we got a closer picture. Dog is pretty neat but I didn't pre-order it myself.

When does BBTS typically ship receive stuff/ship it out? I pre-ordered the turtle and manta-ray figures last week, but I haven't received any other info other than my receipt.
