Chp. 225: Since when does friendship leading to disembodied, faceless visions appear right behind their partner?: http://mangahelpers..../releases/12685

The moral of this fight is simple: for being so smart, Robin is stupid. Sadly...I've heard nightmares of the next fight being worse.

In response to Kinnikuman_Muscle, about the Khan-man thing: I think that the reference was more to Genghis Khan, i.e. the ruler of the Mongolian Empire.

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

I was going to resume working on it today, but my morning was taken up dealing with a rather bad case of Acid Reflux. It turns out I'm prone to that, too. Joy.

Plus UP opens tommorow, so I'll be busy then, too. I should be able to get back to work on the series on Saturday.

Want to see "Up" myself, but somehow after two straight weeks of movies, I'm debating whether it's something I want to see on the first weekend. (then again, I love Pixar but personally thought "Wall-E" was overrated, thus the caution)

Chp. 226: Terry may forget his leg is fake sometimes, but he sure doesn't forget his other lesson from the first Choujin Olympics: http://mangahelpers..../releases/12707

Fix'd.

Putting Wall-E and over-rated in the same sentence? I didn't realize I was posting on Comedy Network. ;D

I still liked it, I just didn't think it was as good as everyone claimed it was.

And yes, Robin is a soulless monster. I hope you survive this next fight with sanity in check.

Just out of curiosity, I'm sure they use "hissatsu waza" in the manga, and I was just wondering how you translate it. Only, in the songs, when I translate the term, I end up with "sure-kill move/technique" as a literal translation, but that sounds clunky. Do you use something more general like "finishing move", or...?

Back when the Kinniku Buster was defeated, Ataru used "Certain-kill technique", but I think I changed it to "Finsihing Move" in the scanlation.

Only, I can see the logic behind using the words "Finishing Move", as the move is intended to finish off the opponent, i.e. it's going to be a sure-kill technique, as the opponent is so knackered that the move should finish them off easily.

For this manga, I think I'd prefer "Finishing Move" as well, if only because most pro wrestling fans call those kind of moves "Finishers."

That was bizarre watching Big the Budo become a meatsack at the start of the fight. Sure he got better but it was weird.

Indeed. It's mainly because of the word "Todome" that I was not so sure. It more or less is the same thing, i.e. "finishing blow" or "clincher". It's just a little more specific, than "hissatsu waza".

Didn't know they had it Considering it took me forever to find Otokojuku using English search, I didn't know you had such an easier time finding it. (I found it on a Japanese site using the Japanese name, won't name sources...not sure how long emule had it but I put it on MH about the middle of May) BTW: it's "Otoko Juku" on there, that's why it probably was hard to find.

What's the last chapter of volume 18?

The next one. (224)

Chapter 224: Robin Mask has no right to talk about how underhanded taking away a masked Chojin's mask is when he's the one who proposed the mask-removal deathmatch.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=B2I0L5LK

The first chapter of this fight I've really enjoyed. It's also the final chapter of volume 18. I know that things have kind of slowed down, but bear with us everyone. This arc doesn't last forever.
