Still... I hope Hasbro seeks out a short term license so we can at least get ROM as an exclusive. Got to get some ROM love eventually.

Since Hasbro owns Parker Brothers, don't THEY have the rights to the character?

It's probably more complicated than that. Even Though Parker Brothers owns Rom, PB is a separate branch of Hasbro, so I'm guessing that the action figure department has to get permission to make a ROM figure from PB. Also the AF section of Hasbro couldn't just jam him into Marvel Universe packaging, since Marvel no longer has the license to use Rom under the Marvel Universe Banner. Personally, I'd be satisfied if Hasbro just made him an exclusive in his own personalized ROM packaging.

It all has to do with Pen and Ink. For some reason it may be too much work to transition a single character (with poor sales from his PB days) to another branch of Hasbro just to make 1 figure. ;)

It didn't last very long, but MU Galactus was going for a ridiculous $19.99 on Amazon last night. Finally got myself one.

Oh Man! Can't wait for the next 2-Packs. These guys were rumored for a while now, but this is the first new 2-pack confirmations we have. These are MUST HAVE Packs. I'm only turned off by the reuse of Origins Deadpool.

Is it definitely Deadpool from the Origins set? The Head and Harness piece look different. Although I'll be picking it up regardless, so I suppose it doesn't really make a difference to me.

I exited that if I have to get another Wolverine its Patch. Where are the pictures of Spider-Man V. Captain Britain, that's the one I hear the most talk about (as far as which version of who is getting made not actual wanting of figures).

I'm pretty sure that's the XMO comic DP. He has new accessories this time, belt/harness/guns/swords?. A number of folks pointed out he is holding Star Wars blasters. Weird. Looking at it again he seems to have a new right hand with extended pinky, possibly a new head sculpt.

The X-Force 3 pack planned for this year also has a repainted DP from the XMO line, but he is the Deluxe set version with the giant missile launcher.

Jay, I can only assume Hasbro is either waiting to show the Britain pack or holding it back till the next comic wave like they did with Sentry. The Spider-Man in that set went through a huge change from when they first showed them, so I assume Hasbro is working out a way to give us a unique looking SM without just repainting him.

Does anyone know if they started repacking the dark daredevil variant in recent cases? Just checked eBay and there are a TON of them that just popped up in the last few days all going for ridiculous prices. Seems weird that 25 of them would just pop up out of nowhere.

Definitely online at least. BBTS got them in along with Warpath in Thunderbird's costume and the Dark Avengers Ms. Marvel.

Yep, all three variants Boa mentioned were assorted in a Wave 12 revision case. So if your fortunate enough to come across a store that got this revision case you may end up finding all three. I believe only one in store sighting has been reported, and I'm not even sure if that is new, or the one from last year when someone found the Dark Red DD.

The Revision cases are hit and miss in my area though. If I find any of them, it will be a whimsical chance. I will assume some of the other variants we have been expecting might find their way in some of the other revision cases.

Good plan. I'd advise that even if nobody here needed em. If they turn out to be as rare or popular as people believe you could turn some buck on them. I've sort of come to the conclusion that Hasbro is gonna keep repacking older figs and variants as long as the series lives, so who knows how common these things will eventually be. Crud, some of the basic figs are rarer than variants.

Also did anyone else hear about the Xmen (animated) team pack? It's listed on the MU wiki page. But I don't remember reading anything about it till a minute ago.

http://en.wikipedia....ne)#Teams_Packs

It says season 1?? Sooo... multiple sets maybe? :woot:

That listing looks like bullshit. We've seen the three-packs described in the text of that section already, though they're not out yet. And instead of listing the Mighty Avengers set, a five-pack that also somehow includes Season 1 of the X-Men animated series is included there?

I would like a Jubilee, but it would make sense if this wasn't true at all, a little early for April Fools Day.

Crap, I didn't read any reports of him yet, but just checked eBay, and it's swarming with them. You find one at the store? If so I will have to whether the weather tomorrow and go do some hunting.

So there are two revision cases out, one with Phasing Vision and the other with dark red Daredevil, Dark Ms. Marvel, and X-Men Warpath.
I'm gonna be sure to pick up any extras I see now because this reminds me of Red vs. Blue and Yellow Goliath where certain citys just saw one version.

Edit: I was wondering where all those Phasing Visions were coming from since all the reports were for the other three.

Hey Eric, I'm down for the Phasing Vision if you want to work something out as I haven't seen any of the variants roll through my way yet and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $40 a pop for them on ebay!

Yeah, every wave has a slue of revision cases. But since Hasbro got backed up on the Variants, it seems they are steady jamming them into revision packs to bulk up stock for the slow months.

Sucks. I hope Hasbro has learned that fans hate chase figures, and just makes the crap readily available. My search bombed this morning. Both my Targets still had old stock from wave 8. Colossi and agents running rampant. I even caught the stock guys at one, and they didn't have any cases on their carts.

At Target, you can actually take a figure up to the automatic price scanners (there's almost always one on a sporting goods end cap right across from toys) and it tells you if they have any additional cases in back. This works with all of their toylines and many a time I've had a worker go back and bring out a freshly unopened case to dig through. You have to just catch it at the right time when they actually have additional stock though.

Also, you have to be lucky enough to find an employee willing to help you that doesn't point to Target's collectible policy to say no.

Ok, I've never heard of Target's collectible policy so pardon my ignorance of that but what is it? In Upstate NY I've never come across a Target employee not willing to help surprisingly enough. They're some of the best people I've ever come across in retail and are always very helpful and generally pretty knowledgeable about their department. Night and day vs any of the other big box retailers.... if you can even find any employees anywhere in the store besides the checkouts.

If they ever brought up a collectible policy (making an assumption on what it is here) I would just tell them to go get the figures and they could follow me to the check out and watch me open them upon paying :p
