EDITED

hey guys,

i've been lurking around the forums for some time, but i just thought i'd come out of my shell to inform you of my crawdad kid artist proof and custom edition release!

Going on sale Sunday, 4th of March, 21:00 EST (Monday, 5th of March, 10:00 Singapore time) are the Crawdad Kid artist proof editions and the Scourge of the Seven Seas custom Crawdad Kids.

Part of the Outlandish Mini Figure Guys, the Crawdad Kid, artist proof "lobster soup" edition stands approximately 2 inches tall, is made of pvc and comes in a shockingly hot pink. Each Kid includes a trading card and header card art by Ralph Niese. Limited to 200 pieces.

The Scourge of the Seven Seas custom Crawdad Kids are individually altered using epoxy clay and hand painted with acrylic paints, numbered and signed, packed at random. Limited to...you guessed it, seven.

Both items will be made available at through http://www.doryphunk.storenvy.com/. Artist proof Crawdads are $6 each, and the custom kids are $20 a piece. Worldwide shipping is a flat rate of $4 for the first Crawdad, and an extra $2 for each subsequent piece. Artist proofs limited to 3 per order, custom editions 1 per order.

here are the pics!

Thanks, Dory. Charles just finished them up and sent me the pics yesterday.

I'm really looking forward to your release on Sunday night. Great job on your customs. You went all out.

I guess it's going to be a matter of who hits the refresh button at the right time to get one of the seven colored figures. :)

thanks for the words of support fellas, much appreciated.

In a somewhat embarrassing move, I have decided to make some price changes to the figures and it has been reflected in the original post.

I do feel bad about it, considering I already informed you guys of the pricing. It is my first time retailing at this scale so I do ask for your understanding.

Don't even worry about it. Well worth $20, and they will still sell within 5 seconds of your site going live.

Look at that, for once I legitimately rated a post.

Thank you for the detailed info dory! I'm really looking forward to the release. For an exclusive run of just seven, taking that many out of circulation isn't so bad, but every little bit helps to get people to complete their sets I guess! I'll be there with bells on.

Ditto, I don't think a whole whopping $5 is going to scare anybody away.

People understand the time and expense involved in producing unique custom figures, $20 is still a decent price. They would sell like hot cakes even at $30.

I agree. People understand that the artists need to make some money too. I made that clear to Luke when he started my MK figures. We don't expect you to do it for at cost to you.

cheers everyone,

looking forward to the drop date too and I hope everyone that wants one manages to score.

I'll be doing a few more custom runs in the future, but for this particular custom colourway it'll just be these 7 Kids.

They must have lasted no more than 45 seconds to a minute because that was about how long it took me to fill everything out and pay.

That's tough man. I guess Storenvy isn't like Bigcartel, where they give you 30 minutes to piss about before emptying your cart.
