[Evil Lord Proteus]

Perfect Mission - Turboman seemed almost overpowered in the Stecasse King fight (did the Turbo Charger absorb damage or just accumulate energy? either way, Turboman took several high-powered attacks and easily overloaded Stecasse). I expected him to "absorb" the Longhorn Train and take out Diabolos in a "Perfect Suicide Mission", but no such luck.

I think it would have been more satisfying for Springman to actually survive the Longhorn Train Express, and for Turboman to attempt to suicide bomb Buffaloman, only for Springman to save him by pushing him out of the way and taking the attack himself. WOuld have made Springman's death even more impressive in my opinion.

Perfect Tooth - the Speckle Control was more interesting than this Sneagator knock-off, but this was IMO the most intriguing match so far

Perfect Fear - the face on Peek-a-Boo's chest held promise, as did his aptitude, but "simply use basic moves" was not exactly an ingenious counterstrategy, especially as Peek had already learned a few fundamentals by then. Also, I would have preferred for Peek to be a Psychopathic Manchild through and through (to the point where every other Perfect except Budo would be unnerved by him).

Perfect Sting/Pierce, Perfect Rise and Perfect Scald - functional but extremely generic

I can generally agree with you, but mostly because I think that their whole idea of "Being Perfect" was idiotic because you can never be perfect. The gimmick ones were easy to figure out, but don't forget that Jack Tea(Perfect Flow, not Scald) practically wrecked Black Hole with his strategy until Pentagon used his Time powers. Each had good ideas and concepts, but their personalities and philosophy was what ruined them in the end. Marvelous was a counter-argument for this because his style was mixed with Martial Arts, so he was above his gimmick, unlike Crushman who relied too much on his Iron Glove.

Just like his opponent, Grim Reaper motioned towards Turboman.

"And when there was something I wanted to ask from you! Now that you're dead, guess I got no other choice!" - Grim Reaper

Saying that, Grim Reaper tore open Turboman's back, revealing the electronic parts within.

"You! What are you doing to your dead partner!?" - Buffaloman

"Nyuga! There it is." - Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper put his hand on a part and assimilated it, turning his right arm into the Earth Unit component.

"And done. How is this lovely right arm of mine? I have inherited it." - Grim Reaper

"Wh-what the hell!? That guy took something from Turboman's back, and absorbed Earth Unit!" - Kinnikuman

"In other words, his fallen tag partner is nothing but a corpse!" - Terryman

"As expected from a superman with the name that resembles Death himself." - Meat

"Turboman, for a Perfect Choujin that has been defeated by a lowly superman, I shouldn't be giving you any credit. But thanks to that, I am given the fortune in taking your Earth Unit. Something I won't be able to do if you didn't die like a dog." - Grim Reaper

Saying so, Grim Reaper pushed his fallen partner to the ground.

"Perfects who failed to find the perfect strength should abide with the rule by committing suicide! Be grateful that you wouldn't need to do that!" - Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper kicked Turboman, who rolled out of the ring.

"That's too cruel! Even for Perfect Choujins, to throw away a tag partner like an worn floorcloth!" - Kinnikuman

"Turbo Charge technique Turboman used to charge himself up with opponent's attacks, amplify it and send it back to the point of bringing self-destruction... What do you intend to do by transplanting it to you?" - Buffaloman

"Nyaganyaga, Buffaloman. That's because I suddenly got interested with a superman like you." - Grim Reaper

"Interested, you say?" - Buffaloman

"Yes, didn't you stop our High Capacity John Does Arrow just now? To be frank, I was surprised by that after seeing that. That's because even with your prided Choujin Power, it wasn't a technique with destructiveness that can be stopped by a superman with 10 million power. But in reality, you managed to stop it!" - Grim Reaper

"Hmph, that means I used more than 10 million power against you people!" - Buffaloman

"Yes, precisely! That's the fact indeed. It's the same for the Diabolos Long-horn Train that finished off Turboman. In this battle, sometimes you're not just a 10 million superman. I sense a special power at work here. Or to be exact, should I say that you have sudden rise of power here and there? This mysterious happening give me a big surprise enough to be a menace." - Grim Reaper

Buffaloman was surprised by Grim Reaper's description.

"Nyaganyaga. It seems like I am correct. You have once fought with a similar opponent and felt this menace, haven't you?!" - Grim Reaper

"T-the Burning Inner Strength!" - Buffaloman

"Correct! The Burning Inner Strength that is the secret behind Kinnikuman's power." - Grim Reaper

As Kinnikuman couldn't hear every thing spoken clearly, he thought both of them were making fun of him, while Terryman disagreed.

"I sense a similar power from you. I wonder why. Speaking of which, it doesn't happen to you only. Even now, we Perfect Choujins have strength that should be overpowering you all, but one after another was defeated by those who only have 1 million power by average... Don't you find that strange?" - Grim Reaper

"Tch, don't ask me to pigeonhole your weakness!" - Buffaloman

"No, something is rather strange. And in order to confirm it, I actually planned for Turboman to handle you two. Now that he's dead, guess I have to take his place." - Grim Reaper

"Ho, so what are you going to do?" - Buffaloman

"Nyaganyaga. Isn't that obvious? I am going to assess your Choujin Power, Buffaloman?" - Grim Reaper

"Assess?" - Buffaloman

Grim Reaper's right arm returned to its former state.

"Sorry, but I don't have time for that, you homo bastard. I'm going to finish you quick!" - Buffaloman

"Nyaganyaga. So that's the initiation stance for Hurricane Mixer." - Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper took off his robe and used it like a capote.

"Come on, silly bull! Come and get me!" - Grim Reaper

Buffaloman charged straight at his opponent...

"Perfect Illusion - Skeleton Body!" - Grim Reaper

...but he became transparent, and Buffaloman charged through him.

"What's the matter? I'm over here." - Grim Reaper

"You bastard." - Buffaloman

"Get angry then. Angrier. That way, I can assess your power!" - Grim Reaper

Buffaloman charged at him again, but to no avail.

"I won't take any damage no matter how many times!" - Grim Reaper

"T-this reaction is like..." - Buffaloman

"To all audience in this Tottori desert, I will tell you something good. There is this exhibition known as bull-fighting in Spain. Lowly humans generally think that the bull attacks the matador when it is agitated by the 'red' on the big cape fluttering in front of it. But that's their own illusions! For a bull cannot discriminate between colors! The bull only reacts to the fluttering movement of the cape and attacks!" - Grim Reaper

"What do you mean by saying that? I hate chatterboxes like you most!" - Buffaloman

"Nyaganyaga. You still don't get it, do you? Whatever that defeats your Hurricane Mixer will be the 'Red Cape of the Matador'. Till now, for those supermen who have received your Hurricane Mixer, they failed to evade it because they were pressured by the terror that is Hurricane Mixer. They got so desperate in evading it that their body would overwork themselves! Those lowly supermen that were hit by a Hurricane Mixer is just like a matador who is struck by a horn from flapping the cape too much!" - Grim Reaper

"Nyaganyaga. In other words, it's the most idiotic plan to overwork oneself to evade your Hurrican Mixer! But that won't happen to me, for I am personification of Death himself. I won't feel terror from a lowly superman's technique! And without terror, I am totally calm and therefore my body won't react by reflex." - Grim Reaper

"You have been using strange techniques for a while now! Shouldn't supermen fight flesh with flesh and techniques with techniques!?" - Buffaloman

"Really, if the lowly superman looks at me like that, it will be troublesome if the humans think similar. Then I shall make this special and show my strength the lowly superman's way!" - Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper put back on his cape and stopped being transparent.

"Have at you then! This time I will turn you into smithereens!" - Buffaloman

Grim Reaper managed to grab hold of both Buffaloman's horns and stopped him completely.

"I-impossible." - Buffaloman

"You should have seen it right? My grasping strength in tearing off Turboman's skin." - Grim Reaper

Grim Reaper grabbed hold of Buffaloman's body and threw him off the legs. The grasps were so strong that he tore off parts of the skin.

"Come on. Wake up. More... I want to assess your maximum power!" - Grim Reaper

And Grim Reaper's right arm turned into the Earth Unit component.

Even with his Hurricane Mixer countered, Buffaloman let out a smirk.

"Fufufu... How interesting. My body is aching to 'kill that guy'..." - Buffaloman

Is it a cruel spirit within those eyes!?

Notice the shadow in the last page. Seems like we will be seeing the devil buffalo again.

Not sure how Grim Reaper is going to make use of the Earth Unit. Though he certainly has strong grasp to tear open a body so casually.

Oh man, perfects are really such a effers here and there! This Grim Reaper guy is seriously going to get a beating by Akuma Buffaloman!!!

Also, I think it's really interesting what Grim guy is telling in this chapter: Every Seigi Choujin is fighting with some kind of Burning Inner Strength. Maybe they're learning it from they own watching Suguru fights. Or maybe Suguru is sharing it without even knowing. Or it could be the friends power all along.

It's nice how they're finally addressing other chojin besides Kinnikuman being able to best chojin with superior power levels. The chojin power levels we know of must be their "base" levels. Yudetamago have clearly put some thought into this.

Really? I've seen other cringe inducing moments in Kinnikuman. Like When Phoenix Smashes Big Body's neck on the iron pole, or when Hydrozoa(Whatever his japanese name is) Does XYZ Crush on Wally.

Grim Reaper seems interesting, not power based like some of the others, and I'd like to see some more moves from him.

Anybody notice that the pieces of skin that Reaper ripped off revealed sections of Buffaloman's body with Scars on it? All this overbody talk and it turns out Buffaloman is the first one to do it. And all his scars are appearing, not just the shadow.

I didn't talk about whether it was painful or not. I was comparing it to other things we've seen in Kinnikuman. We've seen worse, plain and simple. You don't necessarily need to have something happen to you personally to understand that. Learn to read and comprehend, not that I'd expect you to be capable of that. And back to the ignore list you go.

With all this talk of chojin power levels, I wonder if we're going to see characters with levels surpassing 100 million. So far, the chojin gods still reign supreme in that department.

In DBZ, having a higher power means you win the rockpaper-scissors game. In Kinnikuman... I dunno what it means, it's only really been significant twice.

Yup: Will we witness another internal struggle between Buffaloman's good - he showed it in several panels - and bad sides? Another interesting - if recycled - secondary plot.

Not related to the plot, but to the original series, it's just a question that has been bothering from years. I think Robin Mask and Buffaloman ways of behaving are connected: Robin Mask showed some traits of a Zangyaku - almost Akuma - Choujin despite his gentlemanly manners: Heck, he tried to kill Suguru three times; the guy was a psycho until Warsman made him overcome his mental problems. Then, is like Buffaloman has inherited his ambigous behavor from Robin. Is it just mine, or Yudetamago thought of him as a "replacement" for the first Robin (an evil superhero that showed traits of honorability)? Or maybe I think too much and I better get a life? XD

Totally agree with Ridureyu. Power levels era nothing, neither in Kinnikuman, nor in DBZ (the Boo arc is the best example of it).

Though before Goku went Super Saiyan power levels were not the deciding factor. Krillin could have killed Freeza if he got a good shot in with his energy Disc. Guldo was way weaker than Krillin and Gohan and he still won his fight. When Vegeta powered up and laid the smackdown on Recoome, Vegeta's power level was way higher than Recoomes for that breif time, but Recoomes insane durability allowed him to survive it, when it would have killed Burter or Jeice. Ginyu force members were winning their fights thanks to special abilities, not raw power. When Freeza transformed to his third form is when all the logic went away. What excuse was there for Freeza to suddenly be stronger and faster than Piccolo all of a sudden? None, Piccolo just had to lose badly all of a sudden and there was no time to think of a good reason. Dragonball may be charming and still quite entertaining, but it was pretty badly written, though any true DB/Z fan knows Akira Toriyama was getting jerked around by his bosses, with corperate meddling shitting all over everything he tried to do. Freeza was only meant to have 2 forms, his small form and his large form, Dr Gero and Marshmallow Man (#19 and #20) were originally meant to be the cyborgs trunks was talking about and Cell was only meant to have one form, his first.

Just my two cents on the way Dragonball/Z turned out, the power level/transformations ruining DB/Z is a sensitive subject for me.

Also Yajirobi could have killed Vegeta and Nappa with his sword...
