Yes! I will probably have the MONO colors available on Ebay and Etsy. BUT the rare GOLD/SILVER, Translucents, and GLOW-IN-THE-DARKS will only be available thru my website Fridays-Sundays, RANDOM colors and figures!

Yeah, I'd be very careful, especially with Topps releasing the MiniKins line soon. I'm pretty sure they will be even more protective of GPK now and will view your release as unlicensed competition.

 

they have been going after everyone for the last year trying to sell customs...however i wonder if the market for those customs helped to push topps to do the minikins.

Yeah. We just had this discussion on the GPKU forum because they deleted our thread over there. There is clearly a difference in the use of the word "CUSTOMS". It is ILLEGAL to make a copy of a copyrighted toy, and make/sell it in "CUSTOM" colors. It is NOT illegal, to make an original "CUSTOM" piece of art of your interpretation of a character and make/sell them. As long as you do not try to pass it off as a product from the company, and/or use their copyrighted words/images when selling. I try to only reference my pieces by "figure 1", "figure 2", etc., and only drop a characters name so that you guys know what characters I am working on next.

 

If TOPPS is threatened by my work in any way, they should just give me a JOB!

The sculpt is nice - but the dude's got some long legs and big feet, at least when you compare the proportions to the rest of the fig (and the illustration).

The characters are hunched over, and the knees are slightly bent. This piece and to be sculpted perfectly so that it is balanced and able to stand up and not fall over. In person it looks proportionate. You have to figure the bottom half has to hold up 3 heads. There is a difference between imagery and reality!

Anyone ordered any of these? And Accually got them ? I bought one on eBay like 3 weeks ago and keep gettin messages about lizzy being sick, and in the hospital? Then last week the item was marked shipped, then the shipping label was voided out, anyone know if lizzy is still alive ? And really sellin these . If she's sick , shes sick and it's cool? But why the shipping label feiasco ?

 

 its all good. i got a response and eveythings kosher as of now.

Man I hope she's ok if she's in the hospital. I would imagine that Czarcher would know. I've been waiting for the Vile Kyle sculpt to be finished but what you said above would make sense as to why it isn't complete yet.

Hey guys! Yes, fortunately I am still alive! I was really sick at home for 5 days then ended up in the hospital for another 5 days cause my kidneys stopped working and I had an infection that made it's way into my bloodstream.  As a result they shoved a drainage tube in my side (WHILE I WAS AWAKE!!!) to drain my kidney until I go back in for surgery on the 26th so they can use a laser on the massive kidney stone I have stuck inside me. czarcher has been playing nurse, so he has been helping me a lot. Most everything have been put on hold. I have just started working on some things yesterday. I have a deadline for a reborn, so anything other than that will be on hold until after my surgery on the 26th.

 

Matlocks order is being mailed out today with some extras for having to wait so long

Ouch, that sucks. I'm glad things were caught before it got worse. Hope your surgery goes well and that you get better soon and no rush on the GPK. Toys should be the last concern you need to think about.

I'd have to say today was a pretty productive day for my GPK. I have almost done figures 1-3 in every color. Only have three more to do tomorrow. I will be in the hospital Friday, and hopefully out Saturday after my surgery, if not Sunday. School starts next week for all the kids. So my plans are to pick up on Vile Kyle around the first of September. New stuff just added http://myfriendlizzy.com/theparkinglot
