Wow, I must have been gone longer than I thought. So if I'm understanding this correctly, clawfreak and iron oak aren't around anymore? Possibly due to dubious practices?..

Pretty sure ironoak was the other bidder driving up the price on that one. The time to cash in and sell any MUSCLE rares was when that guy jumped into the hobby and inflated the prices on everything for about a year.

Yeah he was the other bidder. The power of MRT (MUSCLE rule of two). Haha!

He won a Salmon Mito, class A, from me a long time ago.  For around $15.  He got a magifying glass out, and complained that he could see a blue spec on the head (if you really look close- he said) 
 
I told him that I'm sure it was from a 4pack or something, and asked if he regularly looked at his figures through magnification.  What a guy!  haha.....

he traded me two class As both had damage and fading. He told me he never saw it before he sent them to me. Guess his magnifying glass was in the repair shop?

I had a similar experience... they both traded words with me, and theirs were damaged

He still owns it. One of the last MUSCLE purchases he made til his wife found out about it.

Ah right! I take it that caused trouble in his marriage then - or am I reading into things too much? The only way I'd get away with spending that sort of cash is if I was a lottery winner haha!

so i am in portland, most of the toy stores,etc... have been scoured clean of muscle. nice choice to explore eugene! i know we are so stinking close to canada that lots of cool muscle including super rares have to have made it down to us. we should scour together sometime  

congrats! 

 

edit: btw, i still chat with clawfreak every great once in a while. he is waaaay into spiders. he seems pretty happy

Yeah I'd much rather find one than buy it for a grand or two.
Awesome score man! In Pa. I have never even come across a muscle in any form at any flee market, swap meet or off the beat toy store.

I think it's all in the junkyard now, but it started with calling him out for paying ebay sellers to end auctions early, trying to pay ebay sellers for the info of people who had won auctions instead of him, and included trying to explain to him how he was f**king the market up. ..

And his stellar "nuh-uh, bro" defense.
