Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I doubt the FBI would waste there resources over a single plastic miniature figure.

None of this makes any sense , guy is simply a psycho, trying to build up his ego or make the figure more legit. "look at me I sold the world's most expensive m.u.s.c.l.e. men" you have to wonder what type of life someone like that would have and count your blessings everyday...

Why is this topic still being talked about? If he got it, then he got it. Big whoppi ding dong. Next issue please.

Why is this topic still being talked about. If he got it, then he got it. Big whoppi ding dong. Next issue please.

Why? Because a person that was banned from this board, for reasons we all know and don't need to be relisted, appears to have sold a SR figure for $5000 - five times what most collectors would, at least, acknowledge has been the going price for SR's.

The "he" you refer to is unknown. Nobody knows who the buyer was because no one has stepped forward. Something that feeds the idea that it was all a scam because Alex has talked about how he has multiple eBay accounts. With his history of behavior it is not out of line to think he behaved in the exact same way as he has in the past – behavior he never saw as wrong. Plus feedback has not been left by either party.

You may not care (which is fine), but there are plenty of MUSCLE collectors that do. I would also think that Alex really isn't the issue for most people. The real issue is the SR, Alex is simply an unavoidable ancillary point to the story. :whoops:

Ok, yes, I would love to know who got it because the MP story (where it goes, it's condition, etc....) should be well documented because it's a gem. That information would be useful. Is there really a need to continue to berate somebody who can't even defend himself? Also, if Alex did get 5K, So what? He is the owner and has the right to ask any amount he wants. I get items for the sole purpose of collecting, that is it, but others do for both collecting and selling. Nobody is holding a gun to anybody's head and forcing them to pay 5K.

Question 1: If Alex received 5K, is it going to change anybodys' mind about Alex?

Question 2: If Alex didn't receive 5K, is it going to change anybodys' mind about Alex?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say both answers are the same..............

To the person who 1st brought up FBI:

By the way, I highly doubt the FBI is going to look into this. I think there are more important issues at hand.

walker13.1 I agree w/ all your points.

This is ridiculous. First this is to be no talk of him, then their can be name calling and snide remarks about him, and now we can talk about him again? What the heck is going on here.

Seriously, if he got 5K for it good for him. If he didn't and it was some attempt to get collectors wondering or try to make it look like it is worth that amount, who frickin' cares. I would never pay 5K for any toy and I am sure most collectors agree.

BTW, just for everyone's information, there are plenty of high roller collectors that do not want others to know what they have, how much they paid, and don't like to join the soap opera of the forums. So it doesn't surprise me if it did sell for 5K to someone like that.

I personally along w/ plenty of others here are getting sick and tired of this crap. :D

My 2 cents,
TGB

Is it just me, or are you super paranoid?

Veers, I am sorry to say...this is the problem w/ posting this crapola. Just because some people have a different opinion of Alex, this particular sale, hell anything...now all of a sudden members that have only been on here for 9 months are accusing another member that has only been here for 4 months of being Alex. This is ridiculous.

If some of you guys spent half the time you spend w/ worrying about Alex and used that time to make customs you would have some kewl shtuff to talk about and post here instead of this crap.

Same thing am thinking TGB if he got paid 5k that's good for him. why should we even care what this guy does. all he wants is your undivided attention and basically this topic is the result of the attention he wants. let this guy do what he wants to. if you know the truth that's all that matter.

All joking aside, I'd like to respond to your post.

I think not talking about Alex was stupid. It took a little learning curve, but where we are at now makes the most sense. Trying to ignore his behavior (good or bad) is impossible. We are swimming in a tiny MUSCLE pool, there's no sense trying to ignore anyone.

As for the $5000, how could we not talk about it? It "sold" for 5 times more than any SR had before, that's pretty noteworthy. Plus, there's only so much to talk about - remember its a pretty small pool and it is a message board. I would hope that more people want to talk about ANYTHING MUSCLE related.

And the secret "high rollers" arguement is dumb. :D Of course people can spend what they want, and they don't need to share it with anyone. There's nothing else to say. I think everyone vehemently agrees with that. However, MUSCLE has always been a small community. It's not unrealistic to think the buyer may be someone we know and for our board to wonder about it.

Frankly, I don't see any "crap." People made some jokes (i.e., FBI) but the vast majority was fact and/or the opinion of board members. It's exactly what I would expect on a message board.

It's not "for" or "against" Alex. It's just what happened. And you are right, people will have different opinions - that's great! Let's talk about it. THIS IS A MESSAGE BOARD. However, the one thing we can agree on is that he pulled shady stuff. He admitted it. I'm sure most people had great experiences with him. I did too. However, it is a fact that he pulled shady stuff. It is not unreasonable to think he would do it again. That is my professional opinion too, not just a guy on a message board.

As for the time - if I spent half the time (thirty seconds) it took to post this and think about it, then I'd have 15 seconds to spend on customs. Actually when I think about it, I'm able to think about Alex, build the UofM, and be a good father, employee, husband, and friend. Plus club a baby seal here and there. I think that's pretty good.

Frankly, I doubt most people spend any real time thinking about it.

First off, vette is not Alex. Period.

Secondly, I think we are fine where we are at as far as Alex goes. No posting of anything that will make him $$$ from the board, but his antics can not be ignored.
If he got $5k, good for him! If he is being shady, then that is nothing new.
Alex made his bed and now he has to deal with the fact that anything he will ever do in relation to toys, will be looked at as if it is a scam first. Guilty until proven innocent. His own fault.
Alex spent the better part of 7 years building a reputation for himself in this community and he will never be able to get away from that. Even if he went straight, he would still have to live down his reputation.

If people don't want to see other people talk negatively about Alex, then they should avoid Alex themed threads. It is really that simple.

Why so many people talk negative trash about Alex??? He's not here to defend himself. If he's ever to come back to this board (which I doubt it) he'll get this disscusion straight.

I thought this topic was about the Mysterious Partner with the $5000 bid.

Chad & Jon, you guys are missing the point. I am not saying talk or don't talk about muscles he has sold, found or anything else for that matter. What I am saying is that when a thread about a ginormous sale is started to discuss and it leads to newbs accusing newbs of being Alex or it being an Alex bashing thread w/ garbage posts, that is when it is no longer a useful thread and merely a bunch of crap.

BTW, I am really Alex.
