Sweetness, got myself two more today. This is turning out exactly how I wanted it to. I got four awesomely painted claws, and none of them look alike. I look forward to seeing the rest.

Sweet, I look forward to recieving them. Got myself two more great ones today. I am so stoked I won that "scary hand" auction because now the coolness of my claw army had doubled. Still waiting on several entries, but since the deadline was extended Iam not worried about anything. I already have seven awesomely painted claws and am very satisfied with each and every one of them. I feel this whole contest will have served its purpose when it is all said and done. Worth every sacrifice to my collection and wallet to offer these prizes because these claws are fantastic!

I finished painting mine today. Considering that I haven't painted a figure since... '95 I guess, and that was in my Warhammer days... I felt pretty good about it. But reading all these posts makes me less enthusastic about my work.. *sigh*

Anyway, I'll be putting mine in the mail tomorrow so you'll have it soon enough!

If you practiced on Warhammer figures and utilized the same techniques, I'm SURE that your CLAW will at least look great, if not the best.

I usually keep my mouth shut about painted figures, as I've seen how amazingly detailed a Warhammer player can detail their own figures. I've been spoiled by it.

Yes WarHammer does help.

i'm a very keen collector and painter of WarHammer Lord of the Rings figures

and i did paint my claw in the same fashion as i do my LOTR figures

but does that mean doc will like that type of style?

I eneded up having to borrow someone else's paints... (That doesn't DQ me, does it? ) Mine are so looooong gone. I wished I had my ink washes though.

Drybrushing... What a simple concept that adds so much, eh?

I must say, I haven't painted anything as small as those teeth in a LONG time. I used to play Epic 40K, so I did paint quite a few teenie tiny little guys. But 9 years, a couple years of college, marriage, and a couple wrestling injuries make the hands Not As Steady as they used to be.
