Whether or not a particular Target chooses to follow it, the chain's general policy is that they can't go to the back of the store to get collectible items for a customer. It's often made public by being posted in front of the pegs of action figures. I've seen people take pictures of the signs before, but I can't find one right now.

Since you've never even seen the signs, I'm sure your stores don't have enough of an issue with collectors and scalpers to enforce it.

Variant victory this morning at Target, I've now got X-men Warpath, Dark Ms. Marvel, and dark Daredevil for trade if anybody needs them. I will most likely need a Phasing Vision.

Awesome! Sucks, I did another run yesterday and failed. I don't really want to, but I may hit the stores again tomorrow morning ripe and early to be the first one in. As Saturday seems to be a good toy stock day for the Targets in my area. If I'm fortunate and score some, I'll pick up any I find, and likewise offer to trade for what I need or sale at cost to anyone needing them. ...IF.

The best time to check out Target for me is Friday morning after work. Most want toys fully stocked for Saturday.

I found a Dark Daredevil for under $20 shipped on eBay so I just need the Warpath and Ms. Marvel if anyone sees or has an extra for sale. I'll keep my eyes out but I doubt we'll see anything out my way. There's still entire waves that never made it to Western New York!

I'm gonna hit the road and try to get there by opening. I'll be sad if they stocked Friday, and I missed them. :( Especially since I checked Thursday. But I checked the scanner system, and it said there were 0 in back.

So, aside from any unknown surprises, everyone should be looking for:

Warpath (classic)
Ms.Marvel (moonstone)
Daredevil (Dark Red)
Vision (Phasing)

I also missed out on a few variants last year, if anyone happens to come across them.

Winter Soldier (Long Hair)
Iron Patriot (Osborn Head)
Wolverine (Team Costume, New Head)

On another note, and I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it, as I havn't seen, or recall, any mention of it. But you guys know how each year the 25th figure is mentioned as being special for some reason? I believe the 25th figure is supposed to be an homage to the 80's Secret Wars toyline. 2009 was the 25th anniversary of the line. The first 25th figure was Electro, and the second was Constrictor. Both were figures that did not see release in the states in the SWs line. And I'm willing to bet this years 25th figure is gonna be another character from Secret Wars. I recall some mention of Falcon being a possibility this year. But my money is on Baron Zemo.

I would be surprised if nobody else caught onto this, but it took me a while, and figured I'd throw it out there, if I somehow overlooked this suggestion on another forum.

Ah gyp. Total Bust today. I even hit 2 Targets on my extended toy route. Suckage. I did find the newest wave of Joe figs sitting in a crate on a stock crate. But not even a trace of the new revision cases. Looks like I won't be getting these variants either.

+++First pics are in, everything looks great for this year. Taskmaster is fantastic, but DP looks like an odd kitbash. Team packs look wonderful. Sue looks to be using the same old female base.

+++Official images are up. Some great looking figures in there, but no Rocket Raccoon. Stop screwin with me Hasbro.

Couple new boring comic packs as well. <_<

http://www.toyark.co...mic-packs-3743/

+++Some reason they missed a few Comic packs on the other sites. The Ironfist/Powerman, Brit/Spidey, and Wonder/Silver sets are also shown. Can't wait for these 3.

There is quite a bit to be stoked about in the coming year from the looks of things.

Is that a 3.75 Quicksilver/Wonderman, if so that may be the coolest thing shown. We will see though once RR and Groot pics surface.

Yep, I reckon the Silver/Wonder pack will be sold along with the Iron/Power pack. ...Power Pack. Now that would be a kick @$$ team box set.

But yeah, I'm really diggin that Wonder Man. I'm hoping we get him single carded in his original costume. I'm almost certain we are gonna get a Scarlet Witch/Vision 2 pack down the road as well.

Two things I don't like (now that I've had some time for the excitement to die down).

1. Skarr, relatively minor I will probably buy him because I'm sure he'll look cool as hell but wasn't a fan of Planet Hulk so I never got around to the sequel.

2. Where are all my new bad guys, other than a version of Apocalypse I'm not familiar with all I'm seeing are new versions of characters I've already got.

Still, with at least four of my top twenty wants at least somewhat addressed I'm very pleased at this years announced line up.

Yeah, I'm not too familiar with Skarr either. I knew he was coming, but I was certain they were gonna repaint the WW Hulk body for him. Looks like they are just reusing the Juggs body. I think he looks good though.

It would seem most of the villains we are getting are repaints. I don't see the point of this at all. It's really like a slap in the face by Hasbro. You buy a figure in a 2 pack or something, just to have it released again in a slot that could be filled by another figure. I'd have preferred Kang to Doom, and they could have given us a Jocasta or female Ultron figure in that crummy redecos place.

I am missing my villains as well, but when it boils down to it. I just want more unique characters and less repaints/packs and then only legitimate variants.

But I can't wait for my Taskmaster and Silver Samurai figures. :) Though I'm sure they will repack them again down the line somewhere. Either that or they are gonna have to find a creative way to reuse that Samurai body. Steve Rodgers looks good as well.

I think that Ultron looks sharp, the green highlights make it pop, but if I can still find the first Ultron I really don't need a repack. Come on Marvel Universe I need some Spidey villains or some more Avengers baddies.

Heh, heh, I finally found that pesky Sentry two-pack, the same week I found the Carnage figure from the Spider-man line.

Also Wal-Mart is getting the new revision cases now so keep an eye out there for your MU variants.

Yeah, I heard. I'm almost ready to give up. I've been searching more for these figures than they are starting to be worth. Unless they miraculously get a case at my local Wal-Mart, I doubt I'll find them.

Did you find your Vision yet?

I found the Daredevil variant today. At Wal-Mart of all places. My Target stores have been continually disappointing over the past couple years.

Maybe that means I'll find the rest soon. Who knows.

I actually found the Warpath Marvel and Wolverine variants! I was a bit surprised to find the Wolverine variant since it's been months since he first popped up..unless he is being repacked.

Also saw Giant Battles tags on the shelves. So they should be popping up pretty soon I reckon.

Still trying to find you a Phasing Vision Jay.

You must have sent some good luck my way because I found a Phasing Vision at Wal Mart after work just this morning. After seeing so many of the DD/Warpath/Dark Ms. Marvel refresher cases it was weird seeing Phasing Vision, Jean Grey, Moon Knight, and new head Wolverine.

Super stoked for giant battles.

Awesome! I love it when stuff falls in place like that. :p

So I think I only have 2 variants that I've missed so far.

Long Hair WSoldier
Osborne Patriot.

Of course still don't have a Nick Fury, Variant Galactus (Hope the Sentinels are easier to get), XF Archangel, and my AOT Thor's foot broke off a while back.

Oh, and here is a nifty visual guide if anyone hasn't seen it yet. I love it.

For those of you who love shiny Green Goblins and black Ninjas, the Target two packs are being clearanced at $3.24 a piece. I bought four packs altogether and it's still cheaper than a normal two pack. I'll probably pick up some more if they're still there Tuesday or so.

Yeah I heard, I think that's kind of annoying. I paid full price more my set last year. And I felt like I got ripped off. These would be great for customizers to hoard up though. reminds me of the first Giant Battles. I paid full price for mine, then at the end of the year they were marked down 50%.

Also, someone reported finding a Black Ronin this weekend. I'm not sure I'll be worried about this variant unless I see it. Not a fan of Ronin, and sounds more like a running change.

I almost bought a second Black Panther set like two weeks ago but glad I didn't. It sucks that there is so much product that you see once and if you don't pick it up you'll have a real pain finding it later and then all these store exclusives that just sit around until they get a drastic price reduction. Even at under four dollars they didn't seem to be selling that well.
