hey guys, there has been a slight problem with the custom editions. although I limited the stock amount to 7, somehow the store accepted 9 purchases and they all got through. I'm trying to sort this out now, so please be patient!

I scored both. :woot:

I got a custom first and made sure to check out for that before trying for the pinks. Once I was done I came back and scored a couple pinks (one for me and one for the son).

If you're making 2 extra, and you need someone who does not mind waiting, I'd volunteer to be one who has to wait.

Same thing I did. Screw the extra shipping. I wasn't about to take the risk.

Crawdad Kid reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean 2 ship characters.

Just like to let everyone know that the Crawdad artist proofs are officially sold out! thank you all for the tremendous support.

If I've contacted you via email, your orders have shipped as of today. All outstanding orders will be shipped out early next week!

Once again, thanks to everyone on littlerubberguys who showed some loving. If you still can't get enough Crawdads, look out in the near future for more custom editions.

http://www.octobertoys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=9256

Could get messy with the duplicate versions of the same design. There are separate entries for the Hell-Toro drawing and sculpt. Deadface is 104 and 193 and neither is the sculpt version. I think 115 is the sculpt of 157. I didn't count how many versions of Scorpion Girl are in there.

So if you are a designer, do you argue that the votes on multiple versions of your design should be combined, or are you telling George to remove the duplicates?

So have they decided there will be only 5 figs for series 2??? Would be cool to have at least a couple more as there are sooo many entries!!

Yeah, I noticed that as well, but I mentioned a different problem that may occur due to the huge number of entries versus the number of people actually voting. I'd hate to think the top five winners would only have like 3 or 4 votes each.

Yeah. I voted, and now I honestly kind of wash my hands of it.

I think in the future, they should use the submission sheet suggested by another board member, with concept v. sculpt... And only concepts with sculptures attached are considered for submission. This has turned into an unmitigated clusterf***.
You know, the process could be distilled down even further, if concept designers courted sculptors from the very beginning, with the actual submission phase only lasting a week or so.

I understand that the people who sculpted spent more time, but all in all, I just picked the top five photos that I liked the most.

However many they decide to make can still be based on everyone voting for their top 5 for series 2. I'm sure the top 15-20 vote getters will all be in at least double digits for votes.

Well yeah I guess so I do hope they have a couple more designs for sculpts like maybe 8 although I do realise there will be more costs involved.... but I dont mind a few more dollars (thanks for realising I was talking series 2 btw) I am defo voting for JACK 'O' LATTERN

This is going to be NUTS!

I will post my top 5 in the voting thread, but in the discussion thread I think I will post my process of elimination.

The good news is even if they don't get another submission, they have enough solid concepts for 2-3 more series.
