Amazon.co.jp has them listed as coming out tomorrow (March 9th). I'd expect to see them on eBay next week.

Got my second cache of BS stuff from Japan the other day, and was pretty disappointed with the number of duplicates I got from the Vol.2 blind boxes. I started a thread over in the Got Toys section that everyone can hopefully use as a hub for trading blind box figures.

BS45 and BS46 are now available at Big Bad Toy Store at a really good price ($7.99 instead of the 3 990 Yen - $42 recommended price)

BBTS put this price long time ago long before the exact nature of those items were revealed. I will check in my Takara catalogs what was the first price announced by Takara as it may be the reason of this cheap price. But you can be sure that the regular price is not the BBTS one but 3 990 Yen.

If you were asking what the BS45 and 46 releases actually are, they're bar-code scanners of some sort but other than that I've no idea how they're supposed to function other than they're for reading the codes on the character cards. Having said that, I got my confirmation today for both the red and blue cubes for only $7.99 each. I was thinking they were going to catch their pricing issue before shipment, but apparently not. :)

Broken english translation from amazon.jp:
"Is a tool that has a variety of functions stronger registration list by reading the card that came with! Figure appeared haves Battle dice user, view, analyze, build decks, and earn points!"

Nifty. I wonder if the bases are bigger than the machines and if they can be connected together.

Given the red figures they're pictured with, I'd assume they're generally the same size as the vehicles.

All right, so I've probably missed this and would appreciate you pointing in the right direction: what does the back of the Beast Saga figure look like? How protruding is the dice launcher 'mechanism', or whatever...this unresolved issue is the only thing currently keeping me from diving head-first into these.

The plunger sticks out about 5/8 of an inch out of the back. Here's a picture of how it looks from the back: http://blog-imgs-42-...30214215746.jpg

Here's the thing: they aren't a big deal. Unless you plan on displaying your figures with their backs towards you, you're not going to notice the plungers. All those pictures you see of Beast Saga figures with the dice in their chests? Most of the time they have the plungers sticking out the back, and yet you can't tell or don't notice them. I don't really see the big deal about them at all, and they haven't reduced my enjoyment of the figures at all.

The dice launcher bothers me also so I bought some of the decals off of Bachamn and they're a very nice alternative. You just plop the decals on transparent dice of whatever colour the beast belongs to and it looks pretty legit and removes the protruding back. There's still a bit of a square hole on the back, but it's either that or the plunger.

All that being said, the plunger grew on me after awhile, but I definitely prefer the home-made dice over the originals.

Yeah, I honestly I agree with everyone else here on this. Aesthetically the plungers aren't really that much of an issue after you get used to knowing they're there; they really aren't noticeable or visible when displayed. If I were a kid wanting to play with these as normal action figures instead of the intended dice game however, I know I'd be pretty annoyed by them and likely remove them. ;)

I still use my custom dice instead of the plungers because I prefer the way they look, but also due to spatial concerns with displaying. Without the plunger the figures can crowd closer together or fit into smaller display cases like the acryllic baseball cases some of us use to display individual figures.

The plungers have never bothered me, and I've always had an aversion to modifying the things I buy so removing them isn't something I'm likely to ever do. However, if Bachamn were to release opaque versions of his stickers that fit on the clear end of the plungers when there pushed in, I would be interested.

Just bumped into a compelete Clear figure 3 set........... and there are some pretty nice figs in there so couldn't resist. The heart of a collectors is weak. Any insights on new figures/animals being released outside the ones that are known by now? Following the BS developments from a distance now so no idea what's comming up next.

After this month there are just a couple clear booster cases coming out in June (at least according to BBTS). The zebra is shown to be in the assortment, which seems to only contain six sculpts this time around, along with other previously released figures that haven't had the booster pack treatment yet. Hopefully we'll hear something soon about some of the new figures. We've certainly seen some last summer that have yet to be released, and now there are a few more that have shown up in the cartoon that will hopefully get figures soon.

I've been keeping up with the manga as well as the anime, and I've noticed some that have not been seen in figure form yet, but since they make significant appearances and are introduced by name, it's probably a safe bet that we'll see them at some point:

In no particular order, here are figures we've not seen official releases for yet but have been shown in either photos or illustration/animation. # denotes an anime/manga appearance, * denotes that at least one photo has been recorded:
-Mole #
-Pig #
-Crab #(Will be released in Gashapon set vol.2 this summer)
-Clam #
-Octopus #
-Hammerhead Shark #
-Sawtooth Shark #
-Doberman Pinscer #
-Boar #
-Koala #
-Cheetah #
-Mouse #
-Zebra * #
-Mandrill * #
-Fox * #
-Red Panda * #
-Salmon * #

I'm sure I've forgotten some, but that's a list to start with anyway. I'm guessing we will see more releases crop up over the summer that will fill in a number of these missing instances. Hope that helps. :)

Edit: Here's something new on those barcode scanners. From the broken translation, it seems that using them might provide access codes to download exclusive wallpapers?

The flimsyness of some of the weapons bothers me much more than the plunger sticking out of the back. I don't understand why all the swords aren't as thick and solid as the one for the bat. The swords for my lion, clear dolphin, turtle, and gorilla are flimsy with a natural bend to them that looks stupid. I haven't been a big collector of these and don't plan to get any more, but it was disappointing that about 1/3 of the ones I got came with poorly made weapons.
