Me personally, I love this story arc! I think it's great. The only things that bothers are the second round line-up, the quick elimination of Bari-han and Ilioukhine, and Kevin's incapacitation (but without that last one there's not much of a story, so I can forgive Yudetamago-sensei there). Also, Chaos is the sh!t!! OTAKU POWER!!!

Off-Topic (Sort of): Am I the only one here who doesn't hate Mantarou? I mean seriously, I feel bad for Jade's very possible loss of match and face and it's unfortunate that Seiuchin found it necessary to betray his Aniki and become a bat/dove/crystal/face/Whak-A-Mole devouring monster... but Mantarou is just so badass and funny I can't help but love him most, even when he's whinning, being a lech, or wetting himself.

I like Mantarou and Chaos too! But the whole Seiuchin creeps me out. I like this arc, but just a wee bit much is going on at the moment. The line-ups are a but dull, but hey the idea of the arc itself is pretty good.

I... never liked Mantaro. Maybe it started with his stupid cowlick (I hate that thing). But, Mantaro has some way of making me dislike him more and more with each new saga.

It's weird because I loved his father, Kinnikuman, a lot! He was one of my favorites in the original series (and he's great in his few appearances in Nisei), but Mantaro... I dunno. Mantaro seems like the embodiment of Suguru's worst traits multiplied by 10. I could list and explain why I dislike him, but I don't feel like it.

As for Chaos, I don't really care for him.

But yeah, I am enjoying this arc.

I'm not a big fan of Chaos either, myself. He's just a repeat of Mantaro, except.. more otaku-ish and weird. And how can he NOT be a Chojin? It's pretty obvious he is.

Regarding the 2nd rounds match-ups. If you recall the previous tag tournament, instead of 2 Million Powers against Stray Muscle Brothers and Stray Devil Choujins against Hell Mercinaries, they did a quick match-up decision that ended with MB vs. SDC and 20MP vs. HM. Therefore the match-ups might still change for the second round matches.

I also like Mantaro, but Kinnikuman will always be my favourite!

Let's see... Sei-chan and Neptuneman still beating the crap outta Mars, and more new flashbacks for Jade.

Agreed, he's less annoying and less perverted. It also helps that his sub voice is Masaya Onosaka, and his dub voiced almost perfectly matched Onosaka-san's voice.

Suguru is somewhat a childish character in both the anime/manga, but remember that Mantaro grew up in times of peace, which is why he is so...um...interesting? And...Suguru has an awesome seiyuu, Akira Kamiya. =3

Aw, I rather like Mantaro. But right now I'm kinda miffed at him for treating Seiuchin so poorly. D'< IMO, the differences in Suguru and Mantaro are due to thier raising (these are just my observations, mind you).

Suguru: Lived alone in Japan most of his early years, so he had to be at least a little brave to survive life. Being alone so long, when he made friends with the other Justice Chojin Legends, they were obviously very important to him.

Mantaro: Grew up in a stable (well, kinda. xD) peacful home, so he never had to work for anything; the servants probably did ALOT for him. He never had to fight to survive, so he's more cowardly than his father. He is less clumsy though, might be due to the royal 'grooming' a prince might go through. He also, unfortunately, has moments where he treats his friends almost like servants (which I think is part of what's happening with Seiuchin).


Yay, new update! I'm eager to see Jade's flashbacks, we might get new insight into this new finisher. Maybe even a name!

I dunno, I like both Mantaro and Suguru.. they both are goofy. At least Mantaro is in the anime version. ^^; I think Chaos is a little too obsessed but meh, it doesn't bother me really. I like the markings on his body, it's interesting. *nods*

I like Suguru through and through. He's goofy but he loves his friends and actually doesn't mind fighting a bit. Mantaro, however, is a bit of a coward. Now, I liked Mantaro better in the anime because in the manga, he's more of an a$$hole towards everyone and almost every situation. He's just plain chicken in the anime.

And I'm about ready to throw a cold bucket of water on Mars' face so that butt-munch can his his tush up and fight... or I'm about to tell Jeags they made fun of his mom so he'd jump in already.

Well, Mars likely got his carotid artery or something bitten by Seiuchin, so he might just be down and out. And Jade, well, I think Jade has to wait for the full memories to come back first. Otherwise, he might become distracted while in the ring, and Neptuneman and Seiuchin would definitely take advantage of it.

*looks at preview page* Huh, Jade's got one hand tied behind his back in the one flashback. I'm thinking he'll be doing the whole 'spnning' thing on the ringpost to gain momentum for this new attack....

I have to agree that Mantaro is a spoiled brat. Sure, Suguru is a bumbling idiot, but when he shamed Terryman into giving up his Hero-For-Hire gig, well, that made me admire him very much.

Doubtful Mantaro would ever do something as selfless as that.
