Hey all whats going on in the beast saga world? I finally am out of the hospital and surgery went well so maybe I can get back to living a normal life again.

Glad you're getting well!!

The 8 vol 3 clears are extra bee-eye-itchin' this time. I'm diggin' the armadillo as my #1 fav right now.

I'll be buying from you as soon as you're up and running again, btw.

Best,

Jonny

You know, I wasn't crazy about the idea of collecting the clear variants of the figures at first (especially since they're blind boxed), but as more of them are released I'm kind of starting to find them more aesthetically pleasing than the standard painted versions. I think that can mostly be attributed to the simpler color schemes and the solid-colored eyes, which seems to fit closer with the original Beastformers concept than the painted versions do. Not that I don't appreciate all those sweet details and paint applications.

I was jonesing for some new release info, but all I could find was this (of which I'm not that into):

BS-51

BS-47

Still, the first time I've seen these pics. It'll have to do...for now.

I think Amazon JP had those photos posted a few weeks ago. I kinda like the Diver Base one, but yeah I'm not too into the jipuroto stuff. I like the Air Tribe "Sky Darling" vehicle that I ordered, but I'm OK with just having that one as a representative and not getting the rest. If only they'd made these to scale with the figures and still kept the same functionality (maybe added some paint apps...), then hoo boy, I'd have been all over them!

Still holding out for an eventual base or vehicle for the full-scale figures...

This. So much this.

I understand, to a degree, not making full-scale bases. The line probably isn't strong enough to support high-priced vehicles yet. At the same time though, I think these minis are a waste of time. They look cool as hell but I hate that the standard figs don't fit.

What's BS-47? Is that just a three-pack with three previously released Beasts and the rotating die?

More information about the BS-47 : link
The figures should be "Black version" so I guess they are either clear black, repaint or full black. I really hope them to be the last as it would be a perfect opposite of the old White Gumball figures.

I agree black would be a good contrast to the white gumball BB.
I like these as well as the regular figures. The bases they stand on, the lack of paint and no articulation leave a lot to be desired, but their detail is impressive for how little they are. Also the little vehicles transform which was the idea with the vintage bases. I do wish they had animal themed vehicles like before though.

Yet they've somehow managed to rationalize the ~$50 battle arena and ~$40 database cubes. ;)

As always lord, your R&D is greatly appreciated! I was actually thinking about skipping this release at first, but since it appears the figures will be some sort of variant beyond the rotating dice and the potentially custom weapon for Aladyl, I'm interested! Also wouldn't mind having another Orca, since the one I have has wonky legs. Does anyone else have that problem with some of their figs? It's like the leg-pegs are warped or something, so no matter how I position the figure they stand slightly crooked and it bothers me.

You can probably fix the legs with some warm water followed by dunking it in cold water to shock the plastic into place.

I'd heard some people mention that before as a way to fix MUSCLE figs with bowlegs, but hadn't tried it on these guys. I'll give it a shot and post results.

I imagine vehicles would probably end up closer to $100, unless they kept them to smaller sizes. But some of those mini cubes could be huge if they kept to them scale, I think so anyhow. If they managed to make smaller vehicles like the original BBs had they could easily market them for around the same price as the current mini cubes though.

Some of mine when standing lean to their left. I have this problem with both my elephant and manta ray. I'm sure if I went and double-checked I could find a couple of others with this problem.

Maybe if they did vehicles for only one figure it would work in regular scale. I'd imagine something bigger would be better used for some sort of base set up. Something like those ninja turtles pizza box playsets.

I dunno, given the prices and size of the actual figures, I'd say the vehicles would end up somewhere between $40-$50. Probably the same as the battle arena with it's electronics. I hope they do release something like that someday.

FWIW, this didn't work. I can't really identify where the problem lies honestly. When separated from the figure, the legs stand perfectly flat, and the pegs attached to the torso both appear to be completely even and horizontal. However, put the two together and the figure adopts a posture that seems to suggest advanced scoliosis. Not sure how to fix this, but I'll keep trying and let you all know if I find a solution.

For the record, in addition to the Orca, I have this same issue with my Billsword, Manta Ray, and (to a lesser extent) Wolf.

I wonder if these are sculpt-specific issues or if they're just random production anomalies? Please chime in with which figures you have with effed up legs so we can maybe figure out this trend.

My Orca has an issue with one of his shoulder pads, it doesn't sit the same as it's opposite. Our problems are most likely random molding issues. A variance in the size of the plug or hole at the joint might cause the limb to sit improperly, you know? You may want to shave down the peg with an exacto knife so the leg fits better on the hip, if it bothers you a lot. Although be careful or the joint will be very loose if you mess up.

We still don't know what that BS44 D Figure is... according to translation of the Amazon Japan page it's some sort of carrying case that can hold your figures, cards and Magic Lot Dice (kinda like a Beast Saga deck box I guess) but NO one has pictures of it o.o

That rabbit is probably the coolest looking promo figure so far. How were these two given out?
I briefly entertained the idea of picking up the promo figures as they came out, but decided it wasn't worth it since I don't live in Japan and will not pay what people think they are worth. One of each standard and clear release is good enough for me!
But congrats to those that have managed to snag them, and if you open them, put some pictures up for the rest of us to enjoy!

@lord: Where have you been? Didn't know you were even collecting these since you haven't been around too much! Good to see you're enjoying the line!

Wait isn't BS47 a Jipuroto machine? This three packs looks amazing...though I'm still waiting for more new sculpts :/

Also they still need to release a single version of Pirazon for army building! And the Koala.

Interesting - I've ditched most of my burst figures after the decision to not collect them, but I love the shark so this is tempting. Is there a story behind this set? Why these three picked out for a clear-gold set?
