I'm glad to see a Lumberjack match show up in the series, but when did Neptuneman sneak into the crowd of the generic choujin guys?

Page 9

Oh wow... I don't know how I missed that. Now I feel a bit stupid.

I'll just slink over here and be quiet for a while.

Generic random Choujin who look like male Solid Gold dancers...what the heck were they thinking!? You'd expect that if they had "generic Choujin" it would be a variety of weird things as opposed to...these clone things.

Generic random Choujin who look like male Solid Gold dancers...what the heck were they thinking!? You'd expect that if they had "generic Choujin" it would be a variety of weird things as opposed to...these clone things.

It's even creepier once you realize that the generic Chojin are qualified to enter the Chojin Olympics. Can you imagine how surreal it would have been if a bunch of them made it into the final tournament?

Chapter 235: "Kinnikuman Great, you were crushed by Sunshine yesterday and aren't fighting at full capacity... You must have joined the Devil Chojin!"
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=NE9SBU0U

Anyhow, that's the end of Volume 19. Chapter 245 is the last chapter of volume 20, so my goal is to finish volume 20 before getting distracted with something else again. As I've said many times, this is the part of the series I've been dreading since I started working on Kinnikuman. The final three fights of the tournament are the three longest fights in the entire manga. There are four volumes left in the arc, and here's how they look:

Volume 20: First 3/4 is Muscle Brothers vs. Stray Devil Combo, last 1/4 is 20 Million Powers vs. Hell Missionaries
Volume 21: Almost the entire volume is dedicated to the rest of the 20 Million Powers vs. Hell Missionaries match
Volume 22 + 23: The final battle begins in the first chapter of 22, and lasts two volumes.

I really, really hate this arc.

That said, I haven't thanked everyone involved in several months, so I feel I should.

Knuxie: Thank you for continuing to keep the site updated, despite recent difficulties.
Orgg: For trying to stay involved, at least.
Ataru: For enduring this horrible, horrible arc. We made it this far together, and we'll make it out alive.
Gonbefan: For not bugging me about that other thing I do on the side. Kinnikuman takes priority.
Kawaii Kenni: For translating the songs, and doing a damn good job of it.
KinnikuG: For showing interest. I don't know how well it's going to pan out, though.
Mods: for putting up with recent difficulties.
???: For volunteering to help scanlate. I can't remember who you are, since the "Specials and One-shots" thread got deleted due to recent difficulties.
Bob: Anyone who tries to attract interest to the series is a big help.
Molophy: For not working on the series during my downtime. I appreciate it.
MeatFan: For keeping Mangafox up to date. You actually keep it updated faster than OneManga.
Fans: For not complaining due to my extended break. Sorry.
K_M: For doing those two chapters a while back. They were good chapters. Derail the thread about this and die.

I think that's everyone. I think that's the biggest credit list yet (even if a few of them are non-credits). We'll get through this series one way or another.

*blush* You flatter me, Stecase-san. I try my best, at the very least.

Though we should thank you too, for your work in this. Plus, you've helped me a couple of times with a few little niggles I've had in my translations, and without that help from you, I'd be stuck running around in little circles, going insane. Well, more than usual.

And I will offer what little help I can, to help the continuation of the project, if you'll allow me, that is.

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

Sorry Steacase King, I didn't know I could do the chapters for Team Kinniku while in your downtime, and if this happen again I will do it for you, I even did the chap 234 but I don't put here because the letter is different , what is the letter you use, I used Kristen ITC to do the chap 234.

Thank you for your hard work in Kinnikuman

Lol, I'm thanked but small Grey letters and Question Marks that's pretty insulting. Anyways, I'm going to pick someone else to do the Throne Arc. Either. Kinniku-G or Gonebefan will be the one's who scanslates the Throne Arc. I've made my decision based on making Team Kinniku flexible and fun. Between the members and personal issues I think it's imperative that we have new members. Like how "Wolf Fang Project" have a bunch of members. So on my side seeing that, I'm simply making it better for all of us as a whole.

I noticed Most of the time it's a lot of drama when it actually comes to me talking and what not, So this time I won't say anything else regarding this project besides that. Regarding everything else I will still translate Kinninkuman because I have a lot of fun doing this Arc since it gets crazier by the page. But I like the idea of new members on the group, It makes life a lot easier so we don't have to struggle or anything. By the way I think instead of erasing all of the text we should scanslate like how Wolf Fang Project does "Hungry Wolf" that would save us a lot of time.

No, that wasn't sarcasm, I was sincerely thanking you for NOT doing the chapters. You do good work (you edit just as good as I do), but I don't want someone working on it just because I'm taking a break. <_<

Yeah, it's you. You seem like a nice guy. I see big things in your future.

Lol, I'm thanked but small Grey letters and Question Marks that's pretty insulting.

I can assure you that the "???" doesn't refer to you. You may not have seen him since I think you were blocked at the time, but another guy wandered into the thread right before it got deleted and wanted to help.

I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to add you to the list or not, given that even mentioning your name tends to cause people to go nuts. I eventually decided to kind of hide it at the bottom of the list in hard-to-see letters as a way of saying "I'm hiding this because I don't want it starting problems". Trying to prevent problems ended up causing problems anyway. I just can't win. (I edited it to make it a bit more clear)

Thank you Stecase King! :D :thanks:

I will keep Manga fox up to date. ;) (I can only update Manga Fox because I dunno how to upload in OneManga :D)

You can't upload to OneManga. Only their mods can, to my knowledge. Keep up the good work though.

No need to thank me, I just offered to help out if needed.

As I said before, I'm up for helping out and scanslating (although, I would like to do some smaller stuff first before diving into the Throne Arc) - but I'd feel a little weird being a replacement. Would SoldierAtaru and Stecase King be working on other things (Nisei from V-Jump I remember being mentioned as a possible future project.) while the Throne Arc is done? I see no problem in more folks helping out, and I definitely wanna be one of those helpful folks... But I worry that this might come off as a bit of a coup.

Also, how does Wolf Fang Project do "Hungry Wolf"? (Not trying to start trouble, I'm just wondering what they do differently.)

Chapter 243: Thank god, it's over.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=RBRE1JLR

Honestly, that fight wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting. Maybe it's because I marathoned it, though. I've still got to thank Ataru for those crazy-fast releases, since I'd have never developed speed-scanning skill if it weren't for that. (when I first started, an 11 page chapter would take me about 4 hours. Now I can do a 19 page chapter in 2 hours)

Although I wouldn't recommend trying it. You feel sick somewhere around the 10th hour.

Regarding to me and the Throne Arc: as it currently stands, K_M is doing it. I will probably translate it too, but I'm starting to think maybe about keeping my translations private when I do so I don't impede on his work. In the meantime, I'm also starting to think about holding off on doing Wingman for the moment until after I finish the Tag arc and doing that as an alongside, mostly since that's rather easy and so I can concentrate on doing Otokojuku a bit more (unless something else comes along).

Pride, personal pleasure, probably some other reasons too. Lately I haven't really had the time to read manga unless it's been my translations so it gives me the time to read it and keep to my schedule. Besides, I sort of want to keep it private...plus I sort of want to use my translations to help K_M if he has any further problems. (but heck, if I go do Wingman in place of Kinnikuman after I'm done the tag arc, I may end up forgetting anyway so everyone wins)

Oh, and get well soon on the eye.
