It looks like he took magnet power specifically so he could take down Silverman, too.

New chapter. Dat solo Cross-bomber. Also, Psychoman is a mad scientist, i love that angle!

Looks like Psychoman has a new finisher. I hope Silverman isn't down and out after it. It'd be really embarrassing for Silverman to lose his first match after all this time, especially with all the fanfare he had. Besides, Psychoman has seriously won more than enough matches for us to take him as a serious threat. Any more is just pointless.

Dang that's one crazy finisher. Can we get a translation on it's name?
#8430
Posted 06 March 2016 - 01:21 PM
"Kanpeki Juushiki Ougi: Rinne Tensei Otoshi"
"Perfect Tenth Secret Art: Reincarnation Drop"
The katakana read "Grim Reincarnation", probably referring to Psychoman's Grim Reaper alter ego and his "rebirth" as MagnetPowered!Psychoman.
"rinne" means "migration of souls", while "tensei" means something like "the turning/shifting of life."

Firstly, sorry for the slightly off topic. This is my first post in this thread so I just wanted to introduce myself and ask a couple of questions!
So, I first heard about Kinnikuman some time ago now (being a long time manga/anime fan), but I didn't actually start following the series until 2009 when the guys at HnG began fansubbing the original anime. Despite them doing a fantastic job, due to unforeseen circumstances, it took them until 2015 to finally conclude the 7 Akuma Chojin Arc (episode 65).
I was pretty gutted by this, especially since Tamashii had just announced the Kinnikuman line of S.H. Figuarts, so I felt a need to catch up and began watching the anime raws accompanied by the scanlated chapters until I concluded the Scramble for the Throne Arc!
1 Year, 228 Chapters and 118 Episodes later and here I finally am!!
Obviously I am aware of Nisei, but what excited me more was the continuation series that started back in 2011. Fortunately for me it seems Hercules Factory have now scanlated the first 6 volumes (so far i've read the first 2). I've been scrolling through this threads posts since page 237 catching up on all the excitement from 4 years ago, lol
Anyway, that's where I am, sorry for the long introduction. Now for the questions, as I'm sure many of you guys are much more knowledgeable than me:
1) Are HnG and Hercules Factory the only groups currently translating the series in English, or are there any other groups out their I should be aware of?
2) If not, then how are the English only speaking members currently following the series? Are you just following the art, or are their translations available?
3) Finally, about Nisei. The fact that I've completely skipped it and have no prior knowledge of the series, will that impact my enjoyment of the continuation. Should I read it first, or can I go back after this continuation series concludes?
Thanks for all your time folks! Feel free to move this to another thread, or PM your response. For now I'll let you get back to discussing the current chapters!

Welcome to the past present, if I may. Hahaha
About Nisei, you can actually keep reading the curent arc and wait for it to finish to start Nisei, since it would be cronologically right, it is just the story of Mantaro Kinniku, Suguru Kinnikuman son. It has awesome arcs, even though the last one is, well, dissappointing for many of us.
About Psychoman-Silverman. I really want to know what those two tell each other, they seem to be such an old time friends being betrayed by time. Also, that finisher, OMG!!!

Interesting twist this week. It's not just a matter of making Psychoman look stronger (and making up for his earlier loss), it also helps underscore the fact that Kinniuman is going to have to man up and return to the fray. He's been relying on everybody else so much this arc that it feels like he's passing the buck.

Allow me to sum up this chapter.
Silverman: "I'm a god mah boy and you didn't do shit to me."
Psychoman: "GASP" "LIGHTNING BOLT-LIGHTNING BOLT!"

Thanks Kaworuden. I finally finished volume 43 (Beginning of Buffaloman Vs Grim Reaper), but sadly it looks like Planetman is taking a break, so I won't be able to read Vol.44 anytime soon. (http://planet-man.tu...-that-i-make-an)
I've downloaded the next 10 raw volumes (44-53) and tried to read the chapters following F.I.A.'s translations, but it's just not the same.
I don't want to spoil my enjoyments so I may just wait a few months to resume. If only I could scanlate them myself!
It's crazy following everyone's posts over the past 5 years. I must have read 2 years worth of posts now (pg.237-297) and some of the predictions were spot on!!

I need to do a massive shout out to all the individuals, past and present that have made this possible, share my countless observations and give my predictions for the future, but it's late, i'm drunk, so right now i'm just going to comment on the current chapter!
Wow! Has Psychoman finally met his match in Silverman! The dude was a shady villain from the get go, but a powerful one that we knew the justice chojin wouldn't beat easily. For those who said he reminded them of Frieza, I thought that from the off!! I even hear Ryūsei Nakao's voice in my head everytime he speaks!! (Please Toei, adapt this manga and make it happen!)
Anyway, it's great to finally see him get his comeuppance. Leaving the burning question of what is Silvermans true aim. We know Shogun wants to erase their existence using the dumbbells (at least he did before The Man pissed him off so much he decided not to let him off so easily). Will Silverman share Shoguns goal, or will he have his own resolution to this, akin to the Idol Chojin , and deem it possible for the remaining perfects to put aside their difference and unite with the "katou" chojin?! (You know The Man and Shogun are too far gone at this point to concede, but Justiceman and Nemesis may be persuaded.
Looking forward to chapter 164!!

Thanks for the shout out. And hey, some of my theories even came true! My current mad theory is that Psychoman is the God of Intelligence.
Haha, you're more than welcome dude!! I've been thinking about the evil gods as well. It's been clear Yude have been trying to incorporate all of their previous main characters so far. Currently we are in desperate need of Ataru and Neptuneman, but also the 5 fated princes............problem is, without the evils god, they are nothing but weak chojins:
So my guess is that once Shogun has all the dumbbells, the Chojin Gods deem "The Mans" mercy attempt a failure and decide to use the Capilarra's again, this time to wipe out all Chojin before their power can rival their own. Queue the 5 evil gods who turn around and say "We told you so!" That could then be an oppurtunity to re-introduce a new group of Evil God powered Chojins!
We just need to get an explanation as to whether the gods that "The Man" was originally a member of are the same gods that approved Suguru to become the next King of planet Kinniku! That needs serious clarification!

Kaworuden - For your deep knowledge of the series
Thanks pal! Deeply honoured here! I took this topic several years ago and did the same thing you just did. Can only imagine adding 4 more years of posts into it haha
Seems there is no chapter this week, let's see what finisher moves has Silverman up his sleeve. I like both of them fighting to their core but the next stage has to start like now!
About the whole gods stuff, I do think the ones that wiped out Earth are the same ones that approved Suguru. Gods be capricious...

Yeah, that is unfortunate about this weeks chapter. Since last year we seem to be getting a lot more of these weekly breaks. Or is it just me?
According to Yahoo Bookstore:
しかし、"必死"の奥義にも綻(ほころ)びが―――!? ※164話更新につきまして 14日の163話配信時に次回164話の更新を21日とご案内しましたが、 28日の誤りです。
My knowledge of Japanese is limited. Does this say that chapter 164 was listed for release today but is actually scheduled for 28th?
I just want to them to Silverman to lay the smack down on Psychoman already! I mean he's been a great villain and all, but Silvermans design is awesome and and like you said, I'm expected an awesome finisher.
I hope Sunshine gets a moment to shine (pun intended) and he isn't simply written out like Blackhole and Junkman (Seriously, the Ninja just rocked up with his dumbell saying he couldn't make it, lol, totally off screened!)
Remaining plot development that need addressing:
Suguru Vs Nemesis Battle. Suguru's only had 1 fight this entire series! (I want to see more of the 100 techniques)
Shogun Vs Budo Battle. Shoguns had a couple of battles, but nothing serious. I want to see him defeat The Man with a complete 9 point seal.
Another Fight for Warsman and Sunshine.Unless Polarman and Singman were it

I demand an appearance by Ataru and Neptuneman. Even if only as cameo, although i'd prefer to seem them fight!
Reaction from the Chojin Gods to set the next story arc in motion. (Yude, please don't end the series this year with the defeat of The Man!!)

I feel like with all the history and family connections, Nemesis has to be beaten once and for all by a member of the Kinniku Clan for sure! I think it'll most likely be Suguru, considering not only can Nemesis perform his big finishing move, but he's already taken down two of his dear friends. Perhaps we'll see a battle of the Muscle Sparks; you never know, Suguru might find a way to improve upon it somehow (although I suppose that would go against the whole 'Complete' aspect).
If I'm right in thinking that there are three major opponents left (and with Psychoman possibly on his way out, if things go Silverman's way), I'm already starting to wonder what direction the series might take if and when The Man is defeated. Shogun isn't exactly a good guy all of a sudden, but the Akuma Choujin are running pretty thin on the ground at this point to put up much of a fight. I wonder if we might see another Choujin Olympics, but perhaps the moment for that has passed now Suguru's taken up the role of king of Planet Kinniku (that'd likely put him out of a potential starring role as Japan's representative). Anyone have any theories or hopes?

Personally i'd like to see this as a precursor to a full scale Chojin Vs Chojn God war. We know that the Gods originally wanted to erase all Chojin, unless that was only because of the chaos in the Chojin world and that now Silverman/Suguru have create peace the Gods are happy??
I dunno, The Man is basically the manifestation of a God in Chojin form. With the Origin now out of the picture, maybe it's time for the rest of the gods to make an entrance and fight Goldman and Silverman??!!

I quite like your idea of the five evil gods lending their power to five new Choujin, that'd give the original princes an opportunity to show up. I'd be interested in having Soldierman give a better demonstration of his powers than being left for dead in the snow, but I can imagine Ataru's appearance would be the preferred by the majority; I want to see him back too!
As for the rest of the gods, not sure I can see all 100 of them being opponents, unless maybe there are some gods turned rogue?

One idea I had was that now Shogun has ruined the Underworld, Zangyaku/Brutal Chojin will make a beak for it from the Underworld and start causing Chaos. I'd like to see Brocken Man return as their leader and with everyone's forces decimated from all this fighting, fighting a whole army of Brutal Chojin would be tough. You may recall they've been talking a lot about rampaging Brutal Chojin in flashbacks quite frequently and Ganman said some great catastrophe would happen brought on by low level Chojin, which is probably why he wanted to wipe out any Chojin who would not join them.
Another, more crazy idea I had was that Strong the Budo is indeed Neptune King and has been working in cahoots with his old mentor - Psychoman for quite some time regarding some long-term plan, and have been the secret leaders of the Origins for a long time, with The Man being locked away(who Shogun is trying to free). Crazy, right?

Yeah, Psychoman is spent. He's going down next chapter. His reign of terror finally ends and presumably we'll move on to the next part of this story. Here's my wish list.
1. Ataru shows up and wins at least one match. (he may be serving as Silverman's body, even)
2. The Fated Princes return.
3. Big Body is strong as hell and was only pretending to be weak because he was ordered to throw his fight by the God of Brute Force. Also Big Body himself is a good guy.
4. The original Kinnikuman Soldier takes on a new alias and is actually strong. Fights and possibly beats Ataru. I'd recommend Kinnikuman Skull as his new alias.
5. Shogun vs SIlverman (this is inevitable I think)
6. Suguru takes down Nemesis. Nemesis possibly defects to another side, either Justice or Akuma.
7. A rebellion in the Underworld with the return of Brocken Man.
8. Epic Robin Mask/Neptune Man tag-team match in the Underworld
9. The return of Neptune King and he actually wins a bunch of matches.
10. The return of Prince Kamehame.
11. Omegaman hunts down escaping Chojin.
12. All the dead Perfects in the Underworld.
13. The Man is a good guy. Or at least is bad and then is convinced to be good again.
14. More Black Hole. (my favorite Chojin)
