Is...is that a new type of dice?! o.o

And Killer Shark isn't clear, he's metallic! Wow!

When you will see the first pic of this 3-pack I'm pretty sure you will just want to buy it immediatly.

Correct! Those are quite nice looking; though I think it's odd that they've decided to release clear variants in normal boxing in addition to the blind boxes. I hope the gold metallic paint apps will actually be there, unlike the Manta Ray who had it in the promo images but only matte colors on the released figure. Undrave, if you're talking about the blue parts on Killer Shark, I think you're just seeing lighting reflections inside the plastic and not metallic paint. The plunger housing though looks to be gold this time as well, instead of black, which is a first.

The new dice is cool though; I was thinking they were just going to continue with the Tiger's style of dice.

Thanks again lord. :)

P.S. Here's the second dice image:

I'm wondering if winds up or something and spins around randomly once it's been launched. (???)

Huh, yeah that's kinda weird. I liked the Tiger Style dice too, I was hoping they would continue with that. I doubt I'm going to get these guys, I tend to skip over repaints (I guess these are recasts?) in most lines.

Not sure where this is going because these three metallic ones look nice and might be the best version of these fellows till now but I'd rather had seen these in the beginning because now it looks like they are selling test runs of all kind of different verions of the same figures while they should've invested time in other and more different figures. Don't get me wrong but what's the meaning of all this if we've 3 versions of 1 figure (normal, clear, metallic) while others stay out or get delayed, to me it looks like a way to win some time. And who'd be interested in the normal version now when they can get these metallic looking ones?

pinheaded completists, like myself. :crazy:

Really though, I'm sure it could be a delay tactic like you said, but really I guess there could be all sorts of marketing or production related reasons for this move. It is odd that they've still not released a number of the figs that were seen in the early promo shots. It's also kind of interesting that this makes the third version of Killer Shark yet Liorga only has 2 and he's the hero. Though, I've a feeling that next we'll see a Gloria Kingdom metallic starter with different figs.

I do remember reading that Shark was one of the highest ranked figures, and Pirazone was the lowest for children in Japan as far as likability factor, and Coelacanth didn't rank very high either if I remember so maybe they decided to replace those guys with figures that kids seemed to like more to test their demographics further or something. I'm eager to see the new figs too but as I've said before, I can barely keep up with the releases as they are so I don't mind ultimately if they space it out a bit as they go.

I think I still like the normal versions the best. The paint and plastic are more colorful and still look better to me.

Maybe the huge success of the line took them by surprise and they want to pad out the releases so they don't run out of new molds before they can design new ones? At least I hope that's how it goes, 'cause that would be a good sign.

I'm still waiting for more Sky Tribe members ><

I've been posting a lot recently about splitting cases of Series 4 and Series 5 blind box clear figures over in the Exchange Thread, but I realized I'm still not even sure what figures will be included in those waves. Has anyone (lord? ;) ) heard anything on what these will be yet? I know they're only coming 6 to a set now instead of 8, and BBTS has images up associated with each set but since these have been inaccurate before I don't put much faith in those.

Tfsource has some Beast Saga items on sale, including BS45 and BS46 for $6 each (!). I bought one - maybe my kids can use it to teach them how to read Japanese.

Compares well to $34.99 at BBTS.

These are the card scanners, correct? If so, is it necessary to get both colors, or do they do the same thing? I'm wondering if having both will somehow affect the rewards on the Takara website.

Also, about the BS47 3-pack; is it the figures or the playset? I haven't seen anything beyond the pics that lord put up of the figs and the preorder on BBTS. I want the figures, but I am wondering if I should preorder the item without knowing for sure what I'm getting.

Just saw the episode myself, he's a mute badass. That ep also made me appreciate Seras a bit better.

Aldyle got his butt handed to him by a nose o.o Billsword is rather dangerous... can't wait to see his bosses in action!

Well it looks like BS-47 is similar to BS-39 Vol. 4 at least if the previous posted pictures/links are correct.
Because this was listed on the Takara website now;
Posted Image

Let's hope they wont start mixing up BS numbers because that might make things a little more difficult for all who don't understand Japanese.

UPDATE:
Well in the end it might make sense as BS48 is this one;
Posted Image

And BS47 The so called Black Versions are the guys Lord mentioned before;

Looks like these are comming with some new Cards as well.

Those Black versions are certainly figs I'd like to add to my still prudent BS collection. ;)

Be aware because so far it looks like most webshops have still listed the submarine like vehicle BS-39 as BS-47 so in case there is no image appearing beside the name I'd not (pre-)order anything because you might get the submarine thing instead of the BS-47 Black Version figs! So just make sure to check this before you submit your order. It might have been just today that Takara launched the exact BS numbers to go with the mentioned items but I'm not sure if most online shops will be able to notice this on time.

It looks like Aldyle and Killer Shark have new special abilities, while Olrich has the same thing. They're close to what they were originally, but it doesn't look exactly the same. Wolfen also has two burst abilities, so this isn't new, just interesting.

Edit: No, Olrich's is a little different too, but ends up being the same ability (Invert, turn your opponent's battle lot upside down when they roll an Emblem)

Interesting dice mechanic! I rather like the Orca's variation where he gets stronger by forgoeing his Emblem!

I've been looking into the Beast Saga a little bit more again after I decided to pass on them for a while because I really thought the Japanese had lost their design skills. But today I got two fellows in that I had high expectations about based on what I had seen of these out here and on the Takara website and its good to know they didn't loose their design skills because these guys are totally awesome!

Attached File  BS Ray Armadillo.JPG   288K   38 downloads

So I guess that means I'm back on board again which means I've to hurry up gathering some figs again because I stopped buying them after the Gorilla and Crocodile but it shouldn't take to long to be up to date again. Hope they keep up the well thought and cool designs like they did with these fellows so my pile of Beast Saga figures will start growing more and more ;)
