Yude cared about backstory in the 80's. Now they like retconing back stories. =/

Today's Kinnikuman chapter will be written by the writers behind "Care Bears"...see if you can spot the difference:

KAJIBA NO KUSO DJIKARA STARE

You know they aren't going to end a fight in this tournament without breaking every window on the mountain:

I never understood that. 80s manga logic, how you make me lawl.

If this was about backstory, I'd actually agree. But...this is about some made-up history that basically only exists on Planet Kinniku but suddenly affects any other character in the entire universe. Weren't there any other Choujin that existed at the same time as the Kinniku people or were they the test subjects to every little thing!?

You know they aren't going to end a fight in this tournament without breaking every window on the mountain:

I never understood that. 80s manga logic, how you make me lawl.

It's just something that becomes obvious with every passing fight: the front window always breaks somehow or another. Here it made sense due to the lightning attack...but it's like they have to make up new excuses every fight to break that front window.

Personally, I think they just got struck by the downside of Toriyama Syndrome. This is where you just make things up on the spot and because they're cool. They thought it cool to have glass surrounding the rings, but then they realised that this leads to a complication in getting people in and out of the ring to help their friends. ^^;; So they had to find all these ways to break the glass.

Former resident song translator, and as a result, probably the distant, insignificant relative of the translation family on this board.

Update (7/1/2012 [7th Jan]) - Years away can calm a mind down quite well. I don't think of myself as some maligned martyr of the site. Rather it's just that I was unfortunately caught by the mudslinging of a rather unpleasant (and unprofessional) translator, who didn't like people taking the spotlight away from him, particularly if they happened to actually be able to properly translate work, as opposed to him. Nevertheless, despite the fact that all my work was my own, I got constantly accused of plagiarism, thanks to this unpleasant individual constantly saying how I stole his work. (When rather, it was going to end up being the other way round.)

I'm a lot more forgiving about the whole ideal, with how I ended up getting treated on this forum, as a result of this incident, but at the same time, I am still not in any mind to come back and join in again, nor will I uplaod any more of my translation work on here. This includes any of my old work, or my newer and much more accurate work. Some may see this as being petty, spiteful or based off an old grudge, and you may be right. However, I thought I'd explain things a little.

Kinnikuman has always been like that. Look at it today; completly different then what is was from the beginning. Everyone knows they make up things during the way.

If I had the time and more patience, I'd go through every single "glass destruction" scene to explain why/how it affected the fight.

Chp. 250: Just like Spiderman once was "Paper Bag Man", we now experience the insanity that is...Robin Sock: http://mangahelpers..../releases/14200
Chp. 251: The big "secret" that was sort of a secret but wasn't for all this time...is finally revealed (officially): http://mangahelpers..../releases/14201

I know you hate this fight (and now that it's over, it's easy to understand why), so just take your time with it. Besides, I only have a bit over two volumes left of work before I probably just dissappear again back into the web anyway.

Like I said, I've had some relatives staying with me for the past few weeks, so I don't really get much free time right now. I do pop on AIM whenever I get time, but nobody's ever on when I do. Hopefully they won't be staying much longer.

What?! I know that the Throne Arc starts in either 23 or 24, but you're not going to start on Ramenman after you finish Kinnikuman? Or at least stick around for the discussion?

And I'd like to put out another BIG "THANK YOU!" to everyone who's worked on this project, including the cast of TW. I started re-reading the series a few days ago from the beginning, and I've been noticing stuff that I missed the first time I read through 'em. Check out Kinta(Testicle)man's method of lifting the first Kaijuu in the Olympics opening tests.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I barely use this site anymore meh, Anyways we got the first chapter done from the Throne Arc fully type-setted thanks to Bobsinbobsled. Stay tuned for more, TW might have done some crazy things but eff orders and such I just want to put it out already. It's been sitting on my comp for ages now collecting dust with these translations it's about time they surface!

I may stick around for discussions but I'm done after the Tag arc. K_M wanted Ramenman anyway...I may actually do my own scripts of the Throne but since he wanted it I'll have to make them private. (that and I sort of promised someone I'd do Tiger Mask next)

Chp. 252: The chapter where Ataru's realizations about manga time and reality time make him wish he had Doc Emmit Brown to explain it better...or at least the Doctor: http://mangahelpers..../releases/14276

Does anyone know how to find out if the Tag Arc of Kinnikuman Nisei is licensed by Toei or not? Since it starts renumbering, I'm suspicious that Ultimate Muscle might end in the US in the next three years (since 23 just came out, and November is when the next one is due).

Toei doesn't own the Nisei manga. Yudetamago/Shueisha/Vizzy do.

Considering how they treat good manga series (GOOD being not the tag arc), the chances are very slim.

Viz. I ment Viz.

I know there's a way to find out what is licensed and what isn't, but I couldn't find it on this crappy-ass computer. What's the tag arc's full official name?
