Stecase: Thanks. You have warned me this is the "big one", the longest fight of the series...too bad it's been in this arc.

Meat's Fan: Not sure what the "agreed" part was on, but somehow one thing I failed to mention before was the concept of Dr. Bombe being paid by pain...was interesting to say the least. (even if part of it included killing Buffaloman just because "I need his horns for Suguru's new bone") He could have been much more neat if they went all out with a Black Jack tribute if Bombe was going to be a bit sadistic like that.

I agree about the Black Jack thing.

How long is the finals of the tag arc?

EDIT:I forgot to say, I really love it when you guys scanlated this manga. Unfortuneately, It doesnt really get more popular. The rating is only 3 stars and people barely go to the forum discussion let alone the fanclub. I made most of the discussions and the fan club. Even though I put Manga fox up to date with the manga, I may say there are members out there that havent even heard of the manga at all.

Sori if this discourages you.

Two volumes.

It can be argued that the final match of the series is longer due to the fact that all of the fights against the last few members of Phoenix's team take place during a single 3 on 3 match, but the REAL final battle of the series (Kinnikuman vs. Super Phoenix) doesn't start until the final volume.

I think the problem is that Kinnikuman is a series that is 30 years old and people rather read something that's still running or that seems to have relevance now as opposed to a classic, screwed up but fun series. But it's great, Meat's Fan, that you are at least trying to get people to recognize the series even if most of it's for naught compared to some series that just premiered yesterday. (not trying to be discouraging, it just comes out that way)

Well, although there aren't alot of folks flocking to read Kinnikuman, there is a core audience that has been eagerly awaiting a chance to read it. Besides, thanks to all the effort you guys have put in scanlating it, and Meat's Fan has put in making sure folks can find it... You guys are making sure it is easily accessible to any new comers who do stumble along.

Besides, considering how many of the guys making the new popular series grew up loving Kinnikuman and are squeezing in references in their own titles, I imagine somebody out there will want to know what these weird looking characters and moves are referring to.

(I figured I would try and shine a positive light on it. -_- )

Only add Gonbefan for the moment. It's probably best not to add people before they've released something, just in case it doesn't pan out. (and he did those two chapters of Kinnikuman Lady a while back, which still haven't been added to the site)

Just to find where the line is drawn here, if we find raws of that Kinnikuman err... ecchi that either Knuxie or Riya posted (briefly), will THAT also be on Teamkinniku?

Or are Spinoffs, Non-Kinniku Yudetamago, and Kinnikuman PARODIES what the group sticks to?

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Kinnikuman Lady is a stupid parody, but it's still an official stupid parody. If it wasn't officialy being released by Shueisha, I'd agree that it's a bit too stupid to bother with.

Kinnikuman Hentai Doujinshi (Lady) should be translated, so I can read it out of morbid curiosity.

It's basically the viagra of trying to get Kinnikuman more popular with the older male audience. Plot and humor isn't important folks when you're doing a young man's manga! All that matters is the T&A department!

Basically it's just throwing the original in a pool of estrogen and see what emerges out...I don't get it either but we're stuck with it.

Chp. 255: Note to self: the audience of Choujin wrestling is all easily manipulated idiots: http://mangahelpers..../releases/14531

Plus, as added extra, I was asked to do the KochiKame/Kinnikuman team-up one shot...and since this turned out to be translation #500, I present it to you now...and show that Yudetamago can write when they put their minds to it (and aren't bound by massive concepts like "friendship" or making everyone act like jerks):

I had today set aside to work on Kinnikuman, but my schedule suddenly filled up an hour after I started working on it. When I got home, I decided that I'd at least take the time to do the Kochikame chapter, since I was the one who asked for it. The next chapter is half done, so maybe it'll be out tomorrow if I can get a day without bothersome annoyances. I'm really sorry, this is the furthest I've ever been behind on the series, but I think I'll finally have some free time in the coming week.

Kochikame crossover: I couldn't work Ataru's history lesson into the chapter itself (congrats on 500 translations), so go take a look at the script he posted if you want to know some of the backstory behind this chapter.
http://www.megalopuad.coc/?d=Z8PMQOSB

It's also the funniest thing I've read in a long time. It kind of makes me wish they had done another comedy arc with all of the Justice Chojin, instead of just Terryman and Kinnikuman.

The only thing you really need to know is what Yudetamago mentioned in their introduction: the photo-shoot for the New Years' '80 issue is when those two first met Akimoto and they never forgot his advice. As great as it would be to get that history lesson is (considering that it involved mangaka such as Toriyama, Kurumada, Hiramatsu, Motomiya, Yoshihiro Takahashi...and more personally Kotani and Miyas**ta...who apparantly can't have his name up here due to censorship), it was just mostly for the fans.

BTW: mind if I put this up on MH?

I've never cared about Mangahelpers enough to figure out how it works, but if you think the scanlations should be mirrored there (or whatever they do there) ask Knuxie. It sounds like it's her department.
