Done! Just wanted to do this since it's sort of just as much KochiKame as it is Kinnikuman...or not since "Team Kinniku" is not on the release set (and I'm not the boss of it) Oh well.

I've never cared about Mangahelpers enough to figure out how it works, but if you think the scanlations should be mirrored there (or whatever they do there) ask Knuxie. It sounds like it's her department.

Nah, it's cool.

The only real good news is that essentially we got a bit over a volume left of the Tag arc left...which is either good or bad dependant on how you look. It's good because the horrid arc is almost over...but it's bad because that brings us closer to the end (and some of the stupidity of the Throne arc)

The series peaked during the Gold Mask arc if you ask me.

The arc did start off it's usual fun stuff but they were already starting to get annoying with the friendship stuff. I mean, the scene where Suguru attacks Warsman to get to Planetman probably didn't feel as bad as it could have been (but the whole "was our friendship in vain" line seemed to feel out of place if only to just inspire Suguru to do it), but the speeches were really starting to get hammy...and then by the Tag arc, they go overboard.

Unfortunately they've been throwing this friendship bullcrap the whole arc and the doll nonesense is just following along the stupid scene before Stray-Devil Combo/New Machineguns. They should have never done it this way at all.

And yes, Iron Sweat is just as bad: let's just make up a way to make non-magnetic potential Choujin magnetic so the power can work on them...though it only gets worse when Neptuneman goes "well...all the magnetism we've been using has made you magnetic anyway!"

I hate when these characters, who are supposed to be the epitome of warriors, end up pulling that pose on those who are pretty much the same as them, even in being male. It's moments like that which makes one wonder what Yudetamago were thinking!

Remember to post an update about the one-shot on Mangaupdates, too. (you forgot to do it with the last two one-shots) And before anyone else points it out, the first chapter of volume 21 is "Hurricane Heat", not "Hurricane Hit".


I've been trying to pace myself on the last three volumes of the arc, but I woke up tired this morning, so there won't be any new chapters today.

I say we take it as we go with the one shots, but the KochiKame one does belong on there.

BTW: Gonbefan alerted me that vol. 1 of Kinnikuman Lady is currently on MH at this time. I really don't know if I want to do this (or if anyone will push me considering I probably am going to take a long-needed break from Kinnikuman once the tag arc is over), but I did notice that there are some interesting "changes" aside from...well the obvious:

-Kinkotsuman and Iwao somehow have the ability to go back and forth between a super-serious, cool form...and their typical stupid selves. (and both are still male)
-Somehow the "rabbit on the moon" preliminary turns into some "killer rabbit" scenario akin to Monty Python.
-Lady Robin actually fights this world's version of Koubellman in the first round (who seems to be the "defacto inanimate object" of the group...probably until Warsman appears) instead of Canadianman...while Terry fights this world's Sphinxman instead of Skyman.
-Ramen-nyan...is flat, while Curry Cook...is hot. (but OK, I have a thing for Indian girls)
-Burning Boobie Strength...yeah, make of that as you may. (Japanese name: Kajiba no Oppai Chikara)
-And don't get me started on Specialman.

What's wrong Specialman? I know i've seen his female version but what is wrong with it?
