I do believe you just discovered the Beast Saga equivalent to the BB Gumball figures, and unless I'm mistaken, two of them are sculpts of the Hyena and Cheetah characters from the anime, for whom we haven't seen formal figures yet. And actually, looking closer it appears that these figures are completely different to the normal Beast Saga figures and instead are designed directly from the anime. And unless I'm misunderstanding the poorly translated description, it sounds like there will be clear chase figures as well. Nice find! These might even appeal to some of the fellow board members who collect only monochrome minifigs.

They're neat, but I don't think I'll be dabbling in them. I've got a few things on the go in terms of collections and I'm still yet to catch up on what I want from the first waves of Beast Saga. (Still need that big six-pack!)

Anybody seen these?

They look like bootlegs. Or repacked, repainted? I can't tell, but Rioga's face looks like a different sculpt and the plastics seem to have a different tone as well. Tried to set up a purchase, but backed out because I'm skeptical that it would have actually gone through.

(And if anyone is actually brave enough to go in on some of these, let me know.)

My first inclination is that they're 100% bootlegs; the fact that they're coming from China, the barcode sticker (and odd placement of it) and the ugly English text they use on the front of the package. I have a Chinese bootlegged Pokemon package that looks almost identical in font styling but this may just be a coincidence. Interesting that they are repainted though; you're 100% on Rioga. In the single-box image it looks like he has a red face with grey hair and white eyes/teeth. Pretty cool looking actually. And I noticed others were off-colored like the Owl with black eyes.

Gotta say though, I love the image with the three figs boxed individually a-la the classic BB/LB packaging. Wish Takara had done it that way instead of the blister packs!

As far as buying goes, am I mistaken or is this a whole-sale purchase? I added one of the items to the cart and unless I'm wrong it indicated that it was a box of 288 pieces (?) but saw no mention of price. Maybe it works like Rakuten where you submit your order and they send you a final price with shipping before processing it?

Either way, good find! I might be interested in getting a few if it's feasible (i.e. these arent for lots of nearly 300 each ;) )

If we have to order a bunch I'd be down for a couple. Can't quite say I could fill an order of 300 though

I'd be interested in a couple Beast Saga boots and some of your custom Laser shields if my funds allow in the near future.

I thought it was wholesale as well which is another reason I backed out.

And yeah, I in some respects I like this packaging better than the real thing. The Beast Saga packaging either obscures the figure by not showing it at all or obscures them behind a curved, amorphous blister, so personally, I've not been interested in keeping any in the packaging.

But all the little variations you can see in these pics make me want to see more pics or see some figures in person.

Wonder what size they are because for sure you can't tell based on the packaging. Its crazy to see these bootlegs comming up, but well they've had some time to do so didn't they ;)

They might become pretty rare because the moment TOMY Takara finds out about those they'll be gone as fast as they came.

No experience with purchasing from China directly so not directly interested in these but if someone is going after them I might try a few.

There's been an update on the original Beast Saga website as well but looks like they've just been announcing another festival or meeting special figure so nothing spectaculair there....

Just speculating but it seems like it'd be more trouble than it's worth to try and repro them in a different size since the dice mechanism and components would also have to be resampled as well. Still, I guess we won't know for sure unless we can get a better look at them ;)

Bad news?  Maybe?

Just got a cancellation email from HLJ about TKT48514 - BS55 Deck Builder DX Byakko (White Golder) Set...

Hopefully that's just an HLJ problem and not a sign that the item was cancelled completely...

Well lets hope that's just a temporary delay....

But thanks to the slow releases so far I've been able to keep up a little bit the past months so the online Beast Saga catalogue I've been working on for my Blog is almost fully up to date with all the normal sized BS figs. Only missing out on 7 of the BS22 Clear figs, had 3 Turtle's comming in from Japan last time....

For the ones who'd like to have a look;

http://beastformers....st-saga/wave-1/

Some of the promo figs are on their way as well and I'm still thinking about the Gacha figs but for now this is it.

Well apparently the anime is ending after episode 38, which sucks because the show is great and we've yet to see ANYTHING important be done with the Sky Tribe... plus it does not bode well for the toyline :( Damnit I thought it was a success! We'll never get all those cool designs seen in the anime ><

Where did you hear that? Man, that sucks. I don't know whether Japan has seasons like we do in the US, but could it mean the anime is taking a break?

Well, if they are ending it I'll be sad that we never got a second round of figures, there were a bunch I wanted from the Anime.

That's disappointing news. And just one more reason to speculate that this line might be done. I hope that's not true, but it seems like people had figures in hand by this point last year. Not even news of new figures now. Big appearance at Japanese toy shows one year, no appearance the next...

Also, I found this visual checklist, but didn't someone make another later that was a little more organized and comprehensive? I can't find it, but I wanted to go back and take note of which figures I'll never have.  :(

Well, according to information from Toonzone, after episode 38 both Beast Saga and B-Daman Crossfire eS are being replaced by a baseball anime. The B-Daman toys are also being discontinued.

Well, according to information from Toonzone...

Hmm a link showing what information you mean would still be nice; when I went to that site all I found was English information about Disney and NickToons cartoons. I saw an anime section but nothing about BS; did a site search and turned up nothing. If they have an anime schedule posted somewhere that shows international channels and shows the slot is being replaced, I'd say that's more likely indicating the end of the season than the end of the entire series. Based on where the series is building up to it seems like it's about the end of the first series; and 38 episodes of this length would make up about 19 22-minute episodes, which seems like a decent length by western standards.

Having said all of that, practically all BS related items are half off on Amazon.co.jp . Sure makes me wish I had waited to order some of that stuff! Worth noting though that the next vehicle, display case, and random boosters vol 4 is still scheduled to release on September 30th.
