IMHO There are to many items that remain in pre-order without reason at BBTS. I've never used it but that's mainly because of this reason as it just doesn't make sense knowing figs have been released and available for quite a while already.

I'd suggest to order the Kangaroo via Tokyohobby out on the Bay as well since this seems to be one of the better and solid options.

He's a fun character worth adding to your collection.

the whole Kangaroo thing is so odd to me. There was nothing special or limited about the release of that figure. I'm not sure what the process is for vendors like BBTs or TFSource to import toys like this, whether they go through the factory or from another whole seller in Japan of some sort, but the only thing I can figure is that they somehow missed that figure on the shipping manifest and never corrected their mistake.

So, I went through the Anime, not scene by scene, but I was trying to find all the toys we never got.  It's 26 figures we may never receive, if we only count "Armored" characters (as opposed to the Boars from Episode 5, the Polar Bears from Episode 12, and the Big Boss from episode 38, and also not counting remolds/recolors like White Golder, or Super LIoga)

Land Tribe:

1. Mindreel - Baboon

2. Zebraksu - Zebra

3. Bebop - Beaver

4. Randomogule - Mole

5. Delicious Hog - Pig

6. Koalemu - Koala

7. Titan Baton - Cheetah

8. Foxcone - Fox

9. Cleaner - Hyena

10. Little Bear - Bear

11. Iguazu - Iguana

12. Sunebin - Cobra -

13. Padoretsusa - Red Panda

Sea Tribe

14. Morgagni - Crab

15. Octopaji - Octopus

16. Thermo Mansart - Salmon

17. Scissor Shark - Sawtooth Shark

18. Power Shark - Hammerhead Shark

19.  Flying Fish Troops (These guys aren't given name cards as far as I have seen)

20. Ryuukotsumaru - Sea Horse

21. Otohime - Koi Fish

Air Tribe

22. Swan Ikusuto - Swan

23. Pagora - Peacock

24. Paladain - Shoebill Stork

25. Karasu - Crow

26. Gunba - FInch

There are some really cool designs I hoep we get to see some day.

Guess it's goodbye to a great line... it's life was short but great and it leaves behind tons of unused potential...

Why does it feel like folks like us, who appreciate theo riginal Battle Beast and these modern reimagining, are such a rare breed? How can kids not love these things?? It's kinda baffling.

My kid loves my battle beasts, so I was really excited that I could get her some of these spiritual successor figures.

Obviously it was too great of a risk, or it was already not doing well or something, but I feel like they would've done well had they brought the line outside of Japan.

I always meant to pick up a few of these, and just never got around to it.

Maybe they didn't perform up to expectations in Japan?

I just sold my entire collection of these ( except for the sharks) last weekend. I just lost interest to be honest. I was so excited in the beginning and bought every figure that was made, but when they just stopped without anyone knowing why I sort of drifted towards other things. I hope they somehow pick back up as I would love to have the salmon, but if they don't I'm fine with the few I have now.
I'm pretty much going to stick with stuff made by people here and Glyos.

So what's the verdict? Is BS officially a dead line or are we still so far out of the loop that they may hit us with the rest of the figures? I hear a lot of speculations but no real solid answers. I'd be really bummed if they shelved all those cool sculpts that were in the promo pics.

im cool with the series having a short run and never released in America. I got a bunch of cool figures and maybe in 100 years they might be worth something.

I'd say if we wont get a new release of the normal BS figs (not small or other sized ones) before the end of this year I think the moment to realise its over ain't far away anymore.....

I'd be very surprised to see it continue on at this point. But it's odd that everything has been quiet regarding the future of the line. Those tiny figures were especially confusing to me, because I figure that if the line was doing that poorly then why come out with something new?

I sent an email to BBTS customer support to see if they knew anything about the BS releases they've had listed as pre-order for a while. I mentioned that there is speculation in the community that there will be no more releases since the ending of the anime a few weeks ago and repeated release date changes. Response was kind of boilerplate but for whatever reason they seem to think their items are all still going to be released, for whatever that's worth:

"At this time we unfortunately have not received any further accurate arrival date information for these. I do apologize but manufacturers and vendors tend to provide very little information about exact arrival and/or ship dates. Often times we may not receive any updates on products until they are in transit to our facility. Delays can happen for many reason but mainly manufacturing issues or shipping issues. We do plan to receive these Preorders and are constantly trying to get updated on their arrival dates. Whenever we receive that information we update our website accordingly.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance and have a great day!"

There mistake imo, was the material they used, they tried to be a keshi line with it soft material, I think this was a turn off overall. There was no good reason for the figures to be so rubbery. They should of just stuck with what was used back during Beastformers. The sculpt work though was top notch.

Last night I bumped into some interesting Beast Saga files which seem to be the construction drawings of the normal BS figs including a few we haven't seen released yet...... So I'm not sure what to think of it since on the one hand its good to know these files are there meaning they've been in process but on the other hand its also a little bit worrying these files show up knowing the figs have not been released yet. Can't confirm they're the real deal but they look pretty serious to me. Have a look and share your thoughts/opinion;

If these are the same as I saw, these were/are up on YAJ for a decent sum. I'm not convinced these are concept sketches for the toys however; they all appear to be character sketches directly from the anime. For example, if you look at the images of the Armadillo and Kangaroo, there are close-ups of the mouths open, which would be used by the artists to animate the character. I can't think of why they would include these for a solid model sketch. While there are characters shown like the Koala and Hyena that don't have figures, they were were present in multiple episodes of the show.

Overall these are cool looking sheets but unfortunately I'm not seeing a specific relationship with the toys.

Very similar to Entertainment Earth's responses when they kept pushing back the pre-order dates on SLUG Zombies.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw them, they looked like animation art control sheets. It is interesting however that Liorga, Big Serow and the mole have alternate color schemes shown. Perhaps this is like the "Black" versions of Killer Shark, etc, which were released but we haven't seen them in the show yet.

Hey, we do our best! :)  Sometimes the manufacturer hasn't decided if the item will still be made or will suddenly just not happen.

On that note, I got a few emails from BBTS confirming most of my Beast Saga backorders were indeed canceled, so I suppose the short happy beast revival has ended with Glyos Armorvors and (maybe) more DST Battle Beasts left standing.  (Or ROTB, if/when those are ready.)

fortunately, it's not wrapped up quite so neatly ;)

We discovered (over here http://www.littlerub...140414&p=541469) that the second series of the anime was green-li for next year, so while BBTS may have in fact gotten some word that the toyline is dead even though the anime will be continuing, it's also likely that they didn't get any word at all and simply started canceling those pre-orders. My email to them a few weeks ago might have even brought the issue to their attention, but I can't be sure.

So, for now I'm still holding on for new product announcements. Considering all the prototypes we've seen but not actually "seen" yet, I'm willing to bet more figures are on the way. :)

I think the announced and sheduled release of the second Anime series can indeed be a good sign in the hope of some new figs to be released. But it could also be that the contracts for a second serie were already signed before they decided to pull the plug leaving them with the fact that there had to come a 2nd serie anyway............. its a negative perspective I completely agree but its just so weird we haven't seen any announcements related to the releases of any sculpts so far and with the end of the year comming closer I actually don't see it happen anymore unless they've sheduled some kind of secret release of a whole new bunch of Beast Saga figs just before Christmas or something.

Let's wait and see.............

I have to agree that even though the cartoon is going forward that doesn't necessarily mean the toys will. If they didn't sell then there would be no reason to keep them going. I'm wondering if takara was betting on the game element catching on and it just fizzled out after a bit. If the figs could be redesigned as regular toys like the originals, then I'd say they would have a healthy following. But that's just my guess, the launchers never bothered me but I could see people getting annoyed with the design over time.
Either way, I think we can all agree that takara dropped the ball by simply saying nothing about the line's future.
