There are still several of these that I've sent out that we haven't seen posted in finished form. These aren't mandatory, but its not mandatory for me to take the time to make these either, and its pretty dicouraging to keep doing these and the patches and enter every contest. These extra credits will be the fist thing I stop doing if it comes to a decision between easing back or stopping cold. I know its tough to make time, I work about 60 hours between my 2 jobs, so believe me, I can relate. This art community is very important to me, and I give as much as I can, but maybe these extra credits are time that could've been spent better elsewhere. I've always realy liked the idea of collaborating with the other artists on this board, but so far Tortle is the only one to finish. So I think starting with whoever wins challenge 20, I'm not going to just assume the winners will want the extra credit. I'll offer, and they will have to let me know that they are interested. It will still be a suprise, and i'll still put as much into it as I always have. I would really appreciate it if the previous winners would start working on what I've sent them, and I'll try not to take it personally that its been such a long wait.

I would love to run a Micro A.F. challenge again later this year, probably late summer/august/september/october.
any more details on this for those of us who take for ever to get anything done?

Essentially what they are doing the in Customs Challenge right now. Take a LRG figure, customize, paint and articulate it to make a micro action figure.

Everyone should start nominating 2010 art-specific challenges here, and in November/December, I'll set up a poll. All the 2008-9 art challenge topics will be there too, to see which ones are worthy of returning. At the end of december, the top 12 voted nominees will be our 2010 calendar. Custom/Macro/List/misc. challenges will be scheduled by whoever wants to host them, on a first-come-first-served basis.
The only thing a nominee needs is a title, about 2 lines describing the figure line(s) and theme, and any possible prize(s), which are in no way obligotory.
In 2010, if possible, the challenge will be posted by the person who nominated it. I'd like to keep our current 2-month overlapping format, but if there is enough want for change, 2010's calendar would be a good place to start.
The prize patches have taken a backburner on my projects for awhile now, but I'm going to try and get them caught up, and finish out the 2009 calendar. After that, I hope its ok if I either pass them on to someone, or retire them.
The extra credits will be retired for the remainder of this year (unless specifically requested), but may be picked back up next year if interest returns.

also, what about lrgs through the decades. you could pick a decade like the 60's and have a bunch of hippy battle beasts all sitting in a drum circle or something.
lastly, some ideas i had the last time around that never went anywhere. feel free to reject them again.
i'd like to do another battle beasts mythologies. that one was fun.
something with mini-boglins.
hellboy vs mimp.
what if we did like a lrg masterpieces. where we put lrgs in fine art. like the mona lisa could be a gpk or cutie or something like that.

L.R.G. Tattoo Grafix : LRG charachters designed into tat art, either pre or post needle.
Beastformers Vs Beastwars- Blood and Oil! : Another true Versus Challenge. BBs take on thier all-metal counterparts.
I would also like to nominate these:
LRG/Beastformer Safari: A hunt-or-be-hunted theme, involving at least 1 battlebeast/lazerbeast and at least 1 other LRG charater.
Favorite forgotten figurelines: F3: Reminders of toys lost in time.
Stikfas/Xevoz/Skeleflex: Not little, not rubber, but great for drawing.

Not that this is much of an issue, but since the LRG store will be closed as of Saturday evening, there will be no more $10 gift certificates past FAC 25.
For those with unused certs, I will be sending paypal.
Will miss the store....
I would also like to nominate these two challenges:
Reccoom's Translucent creatures big bribe challenge! Teeceelooce.jpg 72.31K 9 downloads
All participants who want them will get an eight-piece set of translucent creatures, as 'drawing subjects', in the mail before the challenge starts. But if no entry, you must send them back in shame!
Reccoom's funny pictures challenge!
Funniest entry wins!
